Well i think that if the store owner does accept bitcoin, you'll immediately know because there will be signages indicating they do accept crypto. I've already seen several vendors having those outside shops and stores. Crypto or bitcoin awareness will spread even if we don't ask for it. It's usage will be the catalyst in attracting people's attention and curiosity.
i agree usually those shop that accepts crypto have a logo in their shop
but asking about bitcoin might still give a small impact for those people out of curiosity
they just use a few words so there is nothing to lose so i think what they are doing is still a good advertisement.

Basically this will surely impart the idea of bitcoin payment system in different stores around the world. But to consider, it is not that always efficient to pay using bitcoin because different items has Suggested retail price and we could just pay using bitcoin with consistent amount. If ever, we need to adjust the price to fit its fiats price and to be bought by the people. In addition, huge market still doesn't have the system for the taxes needed for each transactions, in this case, I think the regulation of the government is needed for this to be implemented.

yes i really appreciate your actions op. so that at least people who initially did not understand about bitcoin will ask and find information about bitcoin. and if that person is interested in bitcoin then op has succeeded in getting people to join the cryptocurrency. the more people who know bitcoin the better. it will make the bitcoin community bigger and stronger. and can also increase demand for bitcoin..

This is one of the move that we really need nowadays, I also doing this with my colleagues and wherever I am going, I am asking if they are accepting Bitcoin, with that they become curious what it is, and most of the don't have much idea what it is, so I am giving them a little idea regarding it and leaving them saying that they should research for it.

I often do that, to websites that I subscribed and bought many times and sometimes they respond positive, but not yet come out with the decision if they can have it, I guess if many people are going to ask that, they might think of adding that.

Me and my friends go over to asking the staff every time we have to pay a bill somewhere at the checkout if we can pay with Bitcoin. Of course the answer is always no.

It is not disputable to ask one such question, it just matters to whom you ask it. Asking the supermarket cashier if he accepts BTC is pretty stupid, since the employees at the bottom of the hierarchy have no influence on the firm's business, nor does anyone ask them for their opinion (in most cases). Also, every place that receives BTC as a means of payment has this clearly stated, there is no logic to hide it.

A much better tactic I personally apply is sending e-mails to headquarters of various companies, there are people who make decisions and run business. Of course the question "Do you accept, or would you allow payment with BTC" should be backed up with some basic information on how to make the BTC payment option the easiest way. It is important to emphasize that there are payment processors that serve as intermediaries between buyer and seller, and that the seller actually receives a fiat on his own account.

Not the happiest solution of course, but it's the current reality of paying with BTC.

Me and my friends go over to asking the staff every time we have to pay a bill somewhere at the checkout if we can pay with Bitcoin. Of course the answer is always no. We are much more concerned with raising awareness among the general public about cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin in particular. Because we often see that shortly after this question, employees tell their colleagues about this presence, and they will almost certainly do so at home.  A single question can reach dozens of people and Bitcoin is becoming more aware.

So: go out and invest those few seconds during each payment process to push the Bitcoin!
That was awesome, by those kind of simple way you are helping the community to spread the word of cryptocurrency in order to be more popular to other people and to be an topic for those person who did not using bitcoin. Just because of asking a simple question every pay out, you will be able to set a topic to the employees that if you are accepting bitcoin or other coins as a payment for the goods and products that we have been buy to your restaurant or fast food and etc. they will be able to question theirselves if they can start to accept cryptocurrency as a payment into their system and the curiousness and the awareness of them will increase.
That small move can affect the whole cryptocurrency community. Many businesses will become aware to what is bitcoin if we will also do it. If we are buying something in a kind of store, we should ask them if they are aware to cryptocurrencies and if they are accepting. If they are not yet aware then it is a perfect time to share our knowledge to them in order for them to able to accept it as payment.

I don't think that is the way for merchants to accept Bitcoin more. Maybe that is kind of pressure on them but still if they don't see their profit and benefit in Bitcoin payments they will not introduce it.
In my countries very few places accept Bitcoin as a payment and that will not change much any time soon, that is why I use Bitcoin debit card and don't bother too much if merchant is accepting Bitcoin or not.

yes, his action can help us too, many business people will be intrigue with bitcoin, it can be a way for them to be unique among its competitors, they will gain more customer or clients, because there are few resto or establishments that are accepting bitcoins, hoping that here in us they would accept bitcoin and other altcoins for me to pay for my orders, it could be a comfort.

So your country is not yet fully open about crypto currencies because here in our country even if our government didn't legalize yet the use of crypto currencies, our local exchange let us use crypto currencies freely like paying different kind of bills using bitcoin but right now our local exchange let us store only bitcoin, ethereum, xrp and bch.

What I am looking in the future is our government will fully legalize crypto currencies so the people will become more aware about it as right now I can see that only 30% of our total population is aware about crypto currencies and less than 20% only that are into crypto currencies.

The thing that you are doing will have a huge impact to our community in terms of economy. If they say no in your question, they will probably gonna ask their manager what bitcoin is and someone is requesting it as a payment for the products that they want to buy. In that case, our community will go bigger as well as the price of bitcoin.
That's why OP said that in just a short question like this, we were able to see its effect.
Employees will tell their colleagues about it, including the manager because they are curious about it.
In that way, we can help to share the word bitcoin, its possible users may come in just a question like this.

Salute to what you do bro  Cool
Awareness about bitcoin is currently very minimal because everyone is only focused on the price of a Bitcoin only.
In my opinion, no matter how high the price of bitcoin is, if awareness of the use of bitcoin is formed it will not be a problem because it will be easier for people to save bitcoin and use it for transactions.

Eventhough I have been there long time ago, I never asked in any store if I can pay using bitcoin. Not because I don't want to use my bitcoin but it is not yet popular to my place. Merchandise and Malls use other ecoin wallet but not with crypto. However, it is good also to initiate like what you had did OP. You are an eye opener for the future development and awareness of cryptocurrency.

Great, you should go with this method, because if it is not sponsored, there will never be a change, and it is very important that there is a good rumor about bitcoin.
We should all do it, it certainly helps bitcoin.
I have no s-merit, but thank you for this topic.
What good rumor about bitcoin can be brought about asking only the question if they are accepting bitcoin as payment?
The thing it can give is the question of "what is bitcoin" that they will spread with their colleagues/friends, and not a rumor that can tell of what exactly is bitcoin.

@OP, it is a good piece of advice, since spreading a word about bitcoin is an effective way to expand its use especially in payment options/methods.

i commend anyone who is willing to do this. i'm too embarrassed to do it myself, especially because i mostly deal with cashiers who aren't in a position to affect any real change. they just look at me like i'm crazy.

however, i do have a friend who owns a retail business and i've been quietly prodding him to accept bitcoin and/or install an ATM for a few years. he seems to be getting increasingly interested in bitcoin as an investment asset, so i might be able to convince him yet.

Instead of waiting to be asked about it, tell them about it instead. Interesting...
I seriously haven't thought about this OP, but I am sure gonna give it a try.
Funny enough, some outlet might be collecting Bitcoin as a payment method but because they are not been asked, they can't tell.
