can i start mining on my laptop ?

Thank you for replies.
You can but you would be earning something less than a satoshi I guess "maybe few satoshi's not sure", You won't be making anything mining bitcoins or even popular bitcoins without a mining hardware nowadays I guess.

Mining through laptops is impossible during these days unless any altcoin pops up with some properties and you start mining it from the very beginning. And if you are interested in mining bitcoins, then laptops are of no use there and you will waste your time as well as electricity. You can always have a check of the altcoins section on this forum to look for newer altcoins which would allow PoW through graphic cards or RAM, where you might use your laptop t earn something good.

Laptop? You will only ruin it. requires high voltage doesn't stop. If you still want to do, use a PC with good specifications, because the longer the mine block work, ram will work harder.

You cannot meaningfully mine bitcoin with any computer any more by itself. While you can mine with a computer, virtually all mining is done with specialised hardware called ASICs which are trillions of times more efficient than computers at mining. You can use your computer to control the miners though.

It helped me 2. Thx

yes you can start to mine using a laptop but not all coin can be mined, mined using laptop was the result slightly, kept the laptop will heat faster and easier error, it is risky

Now all depends on you want to continue to mine with a laptop or switch to another device
because I had mine zcash using laptop

Thank you for replies.
if you mining on laptop profits that you get maybe not be comparable to the losses you received (your laptop will be burned) I suggest assembling own computer

1. Processor minimum intel core i3
2. Motherboard Asrock H81 Pro BTC ( PCI-Expressnya 6 slot )
3. PSU ( in accordance with the number of VGA)
4. Ram 8GB
5. VGA with ram 3 GB(vga with chipset radeo serie like 7950, 7970, 7990,  280X )
6. PCI - Riser
7. Hardisk, SSD.

Why did you choose mining? There are many ways to earn bitcoin without any risk.  Cause if you mine with your  laptop theres a tendency that your laptop will get destoyed. Try others programs that will give you profit without any risk.
True there are many ways to earn bitcoin online without risking his laptop for me the specs of laptop even its had high gpu on it he still get low bitcoin how if his gpu will get crash you will not get money to buy another why try another way of earning bitcoin than risking your laptop.

Yes, you can mine with your laptop. Will you make any profit? Nope, you won't be making any profit. Instead you might end up damaging your laptop. If you have cheap electricity, buy a mining rig and start mining.

Yeah i agree, but OP should get some ASIC's for mining SHA-256 coins pretty much. Scrypt and SHA-256 are not really worth mining on standard computer since they have  ASIC's already designed for them and released.

You can check other altcoins when Bitcoin is not an alternative itself to be mined through laptop.
Still, I think that nothing may put you into profits unless your laptop's computing power is good enough and has many things installed such as high quality processor and graphic cards. Try out alternatives like rental mining, you may get something in the end of the day.

Bitcoin mining is not really profitable with the laptop, i would look onto altcoin mining instead (you can swap it later for btc).
Site named http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency tells you some estimated profit you can make per hour with some specified hashing power. Example monero has been pretty profitable to mine for a longer time now Smiley
Or you could just rent has from nicehash if you want to mine for profit, but not to invest on some hardware Tongue
Was it exactly bitcoin you wanted to mine?

Basically, mining on your laptop is not highly recommended. You must calculate how much profit you can get from mining on your laptop?
and your money collecting from that action can be enough for to repair you laptop when it's broken. That is problem you must think it carefully before mining on your laptop.

can i start mining on my laptop ?

Thank you for replies.

Hey! bro! i would tell you not to because its very risky for the laptop its not really for mining laptop are not used to go 24 hours really i tried it and my laptop didn't even get through the month and its not really that strong though but i believe that laptop isn't for mining  if you want to mine 24 hours you must have a family computer that can handle the longest of hours and also you need to protect that pc of yours because someone will hack it really and laptop is just for project for program for games but really its not for mining its dangerous and its a risky if you don't have the family computer or pc you have to buy that strong and fast pc for larger income in mining Cheesy and fast and strong making you have more income Cheesy to gain That's my recommendation i hope you like it >.<

you cant earn any bitcoin by mining with a laptop for sure but you can mine altcoins with a GPU or in some cases CPU to earn some bitcoins. For this you can use sites like Nicehash(referral link in my sig) which directly pays bitcoins for mining altcoins. You can also buy some cloud mining hashrate on Genesis mining especially right when bitcoin price is high, although its mostly not profitable. A third option is to rent rigs to mine altcoins and sell them for bitcoin and make a small profit.

In summary most mining is a zero sum game unless you have super cheap/free electricity or a pump on altcoin you were mining.

I found here that many people answered the best .
But I think you need some more information .
Since mining is not profitable because the cost of electricity is much higher .
But still if you have any computer and working daily , I mean it is open about 5-6 hours daily then you can make some free BTC through CPU mining .
Go to github.com , and search cpuminer and then use the .Rar file and extract the code and follow the instructions .
When you will open your PC then simply open your that coded software .
Through this you can make averagly 5-10 dollers of BTC .

And you are saying this from your cpu bitcoin mining experience?  Grin

OP i would suggest you to read this section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=14.0, take some time and do calculations, electricity, equipment cost etc and don't try to mine with your laptop because you will probably fry it for nothing.
