You don't have to trust ED. I created a separate MEW wallet for ED.
Than I transfer ETH from my MEW (let's call it personal wallet) to the new created (for ED) MEW, buy coins and transfer them immediately to my personal wallet back.
No risk.

I also trust etherdelta exchange with my MEW wallet and I used this exchange from time to time if I need some money to exchange with my holdings.

yes of course! etherdelta is safe and trusted, but you need to be careful in phising site and they will steal your private key.
If a website is hosting your private information (key, data... etc), you shuld not trust it.
Even if it is trustable, you can't guarantee that it won't be hacked, stolen or crash. Don't ever store important information on websites, and if you do, be sure that it's a low value wallet, or a wallet made especially for the website.

Yes you can trust, but you need be really careful while using it. A lot of people don't know how to set sell orders and losing a lot of money. Watch some videos first to be sure

Eltherdelta is safe,but ensure it is the rigth site you are trading on,alot of fake site pretenng as the real etherdelta.
yes you can trust etherdelta. I think etherdelta is safest market in crypto world. I didnt see any bad comment about etherdelta. 2 weeks ago I started use. I didnt face any problem. good luck 
I have never tried EtherDelta, but if you want to do so maybe you should create a new wallet, but a small amount of ETH (or other tokens you want to trade) and try it yourself. If you find out that it is not safe after all, at least you won't lose everything at once. Keep your private keys of your main wallet to yourself until you get confidence. And always double-check URLs (myetherwallet, etherdelta, and all the other where you need to paste your private key).
This is exactly my own position about Etherdelta because you really can never trust anybody with this business. I am talking from my own experience some few days ago where my ETH wallet was hacked and all my tokens stolen. It was a bitter experience for me. Thread with caution!
I think it is ok to trust the Etherdelta since I have been trade there for more than one month, but for your safety, you would better to transfer your coins to other personal wallet if you do not want to sell them immediately.
although etherdelta is safe, I'm not comfortable doing it, it's like giving my key to a stranger. So I make new wallet just specifically for trading on etherdelta.

right it is safe, I also researching it before use, few days ago I use it, I think its a great Website, and safe for everyone. even though I don't predicted its trusted 100%. but.. I just guess. 
I know some of bitcoin users who are also using etherdelta, and so far I have not heard negative about that wallet. so I think it's safe to use.

Yes, you can trust Etherdelta. Because, it has been months since Etherdelta appeared, I never lost my assets. Although we deposit our Private keys. So, no problem because they guarantee our security.
Me, too. Only careless and stupid people would ever exposed their private keys by phishing emails and fake sites and EtherDelta has nothing to do with it so don't believe people who blame ED for that because it's really their own fault.

I usually create a new account, put what i need to trade in there, then move everything out of it and forget that account. Just for precautions. But in general should be safe
