I have not done any transaction on etherdelta yet. Most of the response here have reassured one that etherdeltha is safe to use with one's private keys. But  I will go with the option of creating  a separate wallet and transferring  what tokens I need to exchange .

you have to watch out be carefull !
Why would he need to be careful ?
EtherDelta is a decentralized exchange and a lot of people have been using them now for a very long time. Definitely, one should be careful of phishing websites when it comes to inputting private keys so as not to fall a victim of losing all the funds in one's wallet. EtherDelta itself is not the problem and they have been doing a great job all these while.

I have used EtherDelta but have never trusted the exchange fully.  I have a separate Ethereum address which I use only for EtherDelta.  I will transfer the tokens that I will trade on ED on this ETH address.  I do not keep any extra tokens in this address, so I am limiting my risk to only the tokens I am trading on ED.
I feel that is a good way to stay secured in case one have some doubts. I have never really liked the idea of toying with private keys all the time, which is why I do not even make use of MEW every now and then.

Moreover, so far that I have been using EtherDelta, they do not store private keys and it is just in every one's best interest to be careful themselves in making sure they are actually on EtherDelta's official website or get it bookmarked. However, with your strategy, it is better to be safe than sorry.

using private key and password equally provide security for our account because we are saving. but so far there has never been a loss in the etherdelta exchanger by the user because it uses a private key.

I personally haven't used it but according to my research and based on people's reviews it is safe to assume that we can trust our Private Key with it.

You can safely trust, because the key you enter is only on your browser, and does not go anywhere else. I myself have been using EtherDelta for a long time. I have not seen any problems. I like everything and advise everyone!

Dont trust your private keys to anyone or any website ,private keys should stay private from others.Or you will end up crying when someone got your precious coins.

Yeah, but don't be paranoid on that. As long as you are able to read through the whole code, the risk is very small. I would say the risk is relatively similar to using Electrum wallet for BTC. To some extent you depend on others' nodes and signing transfers while being online, but at the end of the day you can read the whole code or compile program on your own.

I think it's safe to use etherdelta, I have a friend who is using it. Just my advice is to keep your private key safe, do not click on sites that ask for a private key if you do not fall victim to the Scam.
It is always safe to use EtherDelta and there is nothing they are going to use your Private Key for since the site itself is secured and it is a decentralized exchange. However, newbies should always be careful and make sure they are directly on the Official EtherDelta website so they do not end up falling in the hands of scammers. Same thing usually happen with MEW as well, so the level of security is in everyone's hand.
Well put dude. Personally, I have used EtherDelta on multiple occasions and I have never faced a single problem until now and I am pretty confident that I will not face any problem in the future also since this exchange stores my information in a secure and easy to access manner. However, I do dislike the layout of the entire site and the user interface of the site which they definitely need to update. Also, the site lags a lot which is understandable, but they still need to improve it in a big way. Never share details regarding your private key and you should be fine op.

Yes I did it and everything is fine. EtherDelta is good decentralized exchange because we have full control the private key. And should be more exchange.like EtherDelta. But always becarefull when buying and selling never mistake with amount of zero, no more or less because order can be executed even when less or more zero.

recently i've been hearing lots of issues and so many other complaints against etherdelta wherein lots have the same feed backs regarding losing their amount inside their respective wallets. i am also starting to doubt if it is really the system failure or just clearly human error, which of those two is a little bit messy, it just ends lost of tokens as well.

And never had trouble with etherdelta.
Its really nice and decentralized exchange for tokens.

I think no, because it can be accessed by anyone and be hacked by anyone, so we have to be more careful when we are entering our private keys.

Etherdelta is always safe with private keys kept safely. Private keys are the heart of Ether wallet and ether delta as well , without the keys no transaction can be carried out. Its secured but extra layer of authentication is also required which would build up much more confidence in the users mind and would make them feel safe. I also use the wallet for trading and conversion of tokens to ETH and withdrawals as well. So far no problems faced.

you can trust etherdelta but you need to be careful with your private keys because as long as you use browser, it might have chance for virus or malware will infect your browser and steal your private keys. so make sure that you don't have any virus or malware in your browser so you can use etherdelta with safety. but sometimes i am confusing when i use etherdelta and its because we use gas to make transaction and sometimes i am missed the right amount for gas.

I would say that I trade in etherdelta because i have no choice. The token (ico) are exchanged here. For now I don't have problem. But I prefer to be careful. I use my "mini wallet'. I use my bookmark to go to etherdelta to avoid the eventual phishing website.
But for people who be hacked, how can we know if it’s because of Etherdelta or because of a another reason ?
And as someone said never give your private key if you receive an email from « etherdelta ». They never ask you something by email because they don’t have your email.
