People who give themselves over to loneliness once and for all thinking that loneliness is being alone because I don't see any kind of logic in them becoming addicted to Gambling, on the contrary I see it as something bad, I would think that people like that will always have another type of vision of things because it is a very bad way of seeing how to entertain yourself and how to get company, for that reason I say, if you feel alone, look for friends , a partner , if you have Children, go to your children, but don't lean on yourself. in a common casino game or in a Casino, because it is the most Evil thing you can do, that's what I see, there is also the part that things can be seen in different ways.

I would think that when it comes to doing things Well to have a Better Enjoyment , you can do other activities to be able to have them as Something to accompany , but with a casino what you will achieve is being an addict, it is not recommended to take refuge in casinos, nor in any type of things such as drugs, alcoholic Beverages.

Once addicted to gambling, it is difficult to stop playing it whenever we want, because getting out of it is much more difficult than entering. I have always been interested in the first reason why a player discovers gambling for the first time and makes the first bet, what motivates him at this moment. He was probably poorly informed about the consequences of playing a lot, or he wanted to test his luck, it seemed to him that he was special. This can also happen when someone starts smoking their first cigarette for the first time because it’s fun. I listed all this to mean that you can start your journey in gambling for many reasons, and of course loneliness is just one of those dozens and hundreds of reasons, I don’t see anything special in it.
I agree with you, when someone gambles for the first time then he will gamble again the next day regardless for whatever reason but the effects of the initial addiction have called him to be present in gambling, the effects of gambling are caused by loneliness which causes you to like things related to addiction to get rid of loneliness and stress, but gambling has a bad impact if someone gambles in an unstable state of mind, uncontrolled behavior and is easily emotional, which will cause high losses in gambling.

Loneliness will not make everyone addicted to gambling, but other things can influence addiction because they have won high stakes and they seem to forget previous losses instantly even though the winnings cannot recover losses from previous losses.

Loneliness can lead ond to do several things, but for the csse of your friend, I won't call that loneliness, it's more than that. That's now depression. Depression has led people to become drugs and alcohol addicts.
When one is in that state they need something to help them pass the time, something that will take their minds off things. Some might go to drugs, others alcohol or like your friend alcohol.
First, he has to deal with his depression. As long as he's depressed he'll always have one form of addiction or the other. That's his own way of dealing with his wife leaving him so he has to deal with that rightly first before he can move on and put his addiction behind him.

Loneliness leads people to gambling, but they'll regret it in the long run, as their actions won't be rewarded, making the gambler feel sad. In the case of Op's friend, he's not supposed to be a gambler, but his wife's absence pushed him to gamble due to loneliness. Such things can be battled with different techniques or social events like playing sports games, meeting with old friends, attending shows, etc. Instead of gambling anytime we're bored, the person can think of something else. With Op's friend's condition, he'll need to gradually get a cure for his depression. But, it depends on the reason why his wife left. This leaves me with little facts on what to say regarding his addiction, as Op didn't mention all that, though, not necessary. However, if he had disputes with his wife before she left, then his depression would increase, causing him to gamble more than his bankroll.

The problem will be, putting his addiction behind him, as it'll seem impossible to control his addiction, while lonely. Who would be his companion, that can talk him into a different lifestyle? Even addicted gamblers with roommates still find it difficult to communicate their addiction to the next person. Hence, it's a hurt moment for the player. He'll find himself not feeling regrets for his actions, as he'll feel that's the only alternative to escaping his pains. Gamblers shouldn't let real-life problems affect their gambling attitude. Because many who out of heartbreaks, ventured into gambling have experienced difficulty or problem gambling. If he got addicted to another form of addiction, it would have been easier to switch habits. Gambling addicts, find it hard to get addicted to something else. Stressing the healing process of every gambling addict.

It's possible but I don't think it's entirely and not always like that, but on the other hand there is also a point that loneliness is an indication that someone is addicted to gambling if indeed that person chooses gambling to reduce boredom / fill spare time compared to several other things that are also no less fun. This is only an indication and not entirely, because for addiction problems it always depends on the approach and involvement you have there, if you come because of loneliness and just to fill your spare time I think it doesn't completely make you addicted.

The question is whether you always feel lonely or do not have any activity so that you have a lot of free time? If it is true that you do not have any activity like an unemployed person then obviously I think addiction can occur if you choose gambling to fill your time because over time it is very possible for you to take more interest in the activity especially if you have been given victory based on the wrong mindset and understanding, but if your lonely time is only one day a week then I think it is unlikely.
Addiction frequently stems from psychological requirements, right? Loneliness as a trigger is true, but its not enough. Gambling provides a short high and escape, but isnt it just occupying time? The pleasure, the dopamine rush, right? How gambling replaces other hobbies and becomes the go-to remedy for loneliness or boredom is dangerous. This tiny change is often missed until its too late. It goes beyond free time. Their mental resilience, support system, and risk awareness? These factors are key to addiction vulnerability, right?

The anticipation of a great victory can be intoxicating, right? This harmful worldview is fueled by infrequent wins. Gambling exploits optimism and mistaken beliefs. Your gambling frequency point is intriguing, but isnt it misleading? Addiction isnt time-bound. Experience intensity and emotional reliance matter. Even occasional gamblers can fall into this trap if their beliefs and emotional needs match gambling's seduction. Understanding psychology is essential to treating gambling addiction, right?

It is true that not all billionaires like gambling. And when they gamble, they only use gambling as a way to have fun and entertain themselves in the midst of their busy lives. And it's true that they would prefer to have fun with their business partners as well as to discuss business collaborations so they can make even more money. That's different from us, who want to make money but don't have a stable source of income and gradually, we will just go bankrupt, whereas those rich people won't go bankrupt unless they become addicted to gambling.

Of course, billionaires have a better attitude than us because they know how to use gambling and they can use gambling as a way to collaborate with other business people or other billionaires. They already have calculations with everything they do so that they will not make mistakes for them and can get new sources of income from collaborating with other billionaires. Meanwhile, we are different from them because we want to make money while we will experience more losses than them. Even though billionaires lose to other billionaires, they can get something they want and it still benefits them. Their principle is that they are willing to lose a little of the money they have in order to make more money.
Well, that why those billionaires who like to gamble never experience complicated problems because of gambling because they can act wisely when they are gambling and every loss doesn't make them disappointed because they understand that it just payment for having fun.
No billionaire ever feels lonely because they have whatever they want and they always have time that is never wasted, so gambling is no longer priority activity.
Moreover, they don't gamble in just any place and they gamble in places that are really for rich people too.

This happens because billions of people can manage whatever they are doing, including every activity of having fun with gambling.
They are willing to spend more money, but this money is money that is intended to have fun, so whatever the results even if they run out, they will still be received with smile.
Seeing how billionaires gamble sometimes makes me feel new things that gamblers in general cannot do.

Someone who is lonely has many means to get out of it and the surest way is to get busy and meet with friends and family members. If by extension depending on the level of loneliness, the internet is there to keep someone entertained. A common scenario, right? Feeling lonely, we use our phones or laptops to distract ourselves. Then, hours pass. Stumbling upon gambling content online is like a siren's song, especially when loneliness enhances our craving for fast adrenaline or excitement. The temptation of enormous victories appeals to our basic human inclinations for reward - not just money, but enthusiasm. Gambling, particularly online, is designed to tempt and generally results in more losses than gains. Instant satisfaction can become a habit. Isn't there another side? Humans are sociable by nature. Real-life activities like getting coffee with friends or spending time with family enrich us emotionally. These conversations are about connecting, sharing experiences, and community, not just passing time. Human connection fills the gap electronics and the internet can't. When lonely, maybe we should remember that getting off the screen and into real life is healthier and more rewarding

Later he open up to have been using $500 for gambling per day, he said all these started when his wife left him, that he isn't into gambling at all, but I can't ask why his wife left him in the first place, but does loneliness make people become addicted to gambling or it's something else.

We all deal with loneliness in different ways, some people find diversions to ease pain or loneliness. You find people getting sober, destroying their lives, doing drugs, gambling, and different stuff. So it's not necessarily just gambling, we all have different ways to cope up with loneliness. Gambling is a choice, once you start enjoying it's difficult to stop. I know someone who started gambling at a later age because of his circle of friends and easily got hooked to it, gambling addiction starts with different factors or reasons.

Indeed right, it's a choice but the influence of your loneliness can lead you to such addiction, trying to find enjoyment to forget about
that emotion can create misconception about gambling.

It's a must that you should play with care, and if possible, an emotionless participation to avoid getting hook, but we really can't tell when addiction will
manage to trigger and create deeper problems along the way, more on your decision making in handling this kind of vice.

Better to seek for someone who can lend their shoulders and ears than taking this path and add more problem.

Loneliness isn’t the sole cause of someone going into into gambling addiction. But it’s undeniable that loneliness could make someone to drift into seeking to do activities that wouldn’t necessarily do before.
People aren’t always socially receptive and don’t like surfing the net like other people would ordinarily do. And not everyone has and keeps friends to hang out with. I guess that what makes people slowly drift into doing activities like gambling and would slowly fall into addiction without realizing it.

I’m not sure if I would say that loneliness is a cause of gambling addiction itself, but more that being bored or having free time can cause someone to begin looking for ways to keep themselves entertained. I imagine lonely people probably have a lot of free time, which is why they are lonely. I could see this causing them to use entertainment more frequently than others, possibly opening them up more to addiction.

You are having a point here that loneliness may not be the whole reason for going into gambling, rather what could push someone into gambling could be trying to double the money you have by gambling on it and gradually you become addicted.

The issue about loneliness make someone gamble more is of a fact and I have indeed experience this myself. We tend to do crazy and stupid things when we are void and have the thought of doing things to keep ourselves occupied. Gambling is one of those activities that keeps so many people occupied, especially when the session of gambling favours you, I mean you can go all out gambling morning to night just because you don't have nothing to do and because the gamble you are playing is occupying your mind.

You are absolutely right, @DaNNy001. Like I said before, it depends on the individual and what their actual drive is. So people have the rest for different things and what actually drives them so easily. Loneliness can make some people addicted to social media, movies, watching TV, and so many other things, and for those who are gamblers, they can get addicted to gambling if they are lonely and also have the funds to gamble with. For example, I could be a gambler, but I might not have the funds to gamble with, so even if I am lonely, there's no way I could get addicted because I don't have the money to do so.
loneliness is a bitch and by all means necessary it should be avoided by the individual hanging around with friends and family, attending religious programmes interacting with fellow brethrens etc are ways to dismiss loneliness because the thoughts that accompanies loneliness are usually dangerous to the individual's character which may be seeming as solution to drive away the loneliness but it's all a deception. Gambling, alcoholism, womanizing, and others as such can't positive save someone from loneliness, and especially when the individual has the money to finance the activity it's a disaster in fine lining.

Loneliness drives people into gambling when they're in need. If a person doesn't have any financial issues, then he won't think of it. When there is need for money as well as there is no opportunity for him to make money he gets into gambling as the last hope. In specific people sometimes believes without understanding the reality of gambling. They just think gambling will end all their problems.
it is a very sad mindset when someone feels lonely thinking about their bad finances and wants to gamble to find a quick solution to double their money it is a very ridiculous thought but however many still do this. maybe some people who are lucky enough to win won't have problems in their lives, but if they try to gamble when they are lonely, they will only add to the burden on their lives, even worse, they could become addicted because they are frustrated at losing money, even though they want to double their money.

loneliness is just a condition where we only need entertainment and entertainment, not just gambling, there are many other activities or places that can provide pleasure that dont require spending a lot of money and dont have risks like gambling. so if someone goes to gambling just because he is lonely it is just a mistake in his mindset.
A person that is experiencing some kind of difficult emotional state is way more vulnerable to take mistaken decisions that could affect their lives down the line, so someone that feels lonely is indeed more likely to experience some self-destructive behaviors like an addiction, however loneliness is probably one of the easiest emotional states we can overcome, as this can be easily solved by just being around other people, and now thanks to the internet this can be easily solved by simply getting involved in different groups related to our own interests.

What happened is that a rich person either tries very hard to have and know things, if they don't know it they only pay financial advisors who have studied a lot about this, therefore a person who allows themselves to be carried away by good management. From a financial advisor things will only turn out well, no matter how much they say they can learn, they will do it but at their own pace, they will not strive to do it because they know they can and have everything, so their interests, unless it is in knowing, is what unique, but in this case things when it comes to a person's knowledge can be very varied, many more things can happen, the Financial aspect for me is the most important, and if a person who knows a lot sticks only to learning, it is not Bad, because there is nothing better than investing in our own knowledge, Knowing how well a person can manage in a company or in a particular activity, in any case when we do things that can go in the right Direction , we know that a A person with a high financial education Knows how to behave in a Casino.

This means that when a person who has a high Financial culture Knows very well that he cannot spend a lot of Money in a casino , because he Understands that when he puts in little money that is what he is willing to lose, or he lets himself be carried away by emotions or by impulse, in this case the people who have this type of financial education are clear that the casino is just that, a company, a business that will Always have the advantage of the House and that they cannot fight against that, because it is Impossible for them to win , the Numbers do not work , it is something that is already pre-established, the fact that a lot is Played and there are some flashes of luck is what the player can and should take Advantage of, because the rest cannot be done any Further , this is what we think about what can be done , that's why in a casino those who lose control are those who are Basically Addicts.
Yes, rich people will definitely try to find out what they want to know and with their financial capabilities, they can pay people to find out and they have to wait for the results and then analyze it themselves and decide what to do. These rich people already have many sources of accurate information that can be trusted, so it will make it easier for them to find out what they want to know quickly. They only focus on making decisions after analyzing everything and will find the decision they want and they feel it is right. The financial aspect is one of the most important things in life, so if we have stable finances, we will not experience problems related to finances. Rich people can really take care of their finances well and get more financial resources, which will also add to their list of wealth. That's what we have to try to do if we want to try to increase the amount of our wealth and indeed, it takes time, but if we are serious about doing it, we can definitely be wrong.

And when someone has good finances, he has the choice to use it for gambling or other things. And when they decide to gamble, maybe they will use more money than other people and we certainly think he really can't minimize the risk but it is a risk that really rich people can take. He has a lot of money so he can take bigger risks than most gamblers so we can't judge whether what he decides is good for him or bad for him. They understand the situation and conditions better because it is their money. And they can also take care of themselves while gambling because they know that gambling is just entertainment and they won't gamble for too long. They indeed spend more than us but that is the amount of money they can afford and they will not experience any problems, let alone getting addicted to gambling. They can avoid gambling addiction because they know what impact it will have on them if they lose control of themselves.
