I personally am a fan of anime series and the video concept caught my gaze. Most people think anime are for children which they might be right about, but when there's a unique content being passed with it, then it's for everyone. Stimulating deeply on video gives an intern scope about what bitcoin and cryptocurrency generally would be in future. I love the video and I will recommend it to more audience to see.

I watched it, and I'm gonna be completely straightforward with my opinion, I liked it and I think it can really be helpful, informative and entertaining at the same time, they crack up some good jokes, don't adjust to the people saying "oh its too vulgar, too violent, etc." YES it may be like that but without that the cartoon would be plain, you'll see a lot of cartoons nowadays shows some levels of humour, and it may not be appropriate for all viewers but again this should be rated R18 so that the parents would know and would avoid letting their kids watch this, but if they want their kids to learn at the same time then I think it'd be great if they will guide their children while watching it, it's very informative don't let those silly jokes run you up, it's just to make the cartoon not all boring and just explaining about Bitcoin and stuff, writers know that and they know that if you'd just put informative stuff the viewers will then get boring eventually.

This thread's a little unusual if I say so, from the smattering of responses. About half are saying the content is too vulgar and nsfw... You don't really see people complaining about adult themes in services section, meta or even in gambling. I'd expect Game of Thrones to get more but perhaps the visitors to Bitcoin Discussion are a different demographic, eh?

I'm not an artist anyway, but I probably wouldn't find a good audience if I ever had the skill or will to do a cartoon based in my hometown, or with homegrown values haha.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
It is not too vulgar. It is just not interesting.
Generally, Bitcoin may be considered as money. At least that's how its users want to see it. So have you seen any interesting movie or cartoon about a dollar / euro banknote?
There are many interesting stories about people earning, loosing or using money but there is nothing interesting just about money.

If you are talking about "Fun" the only thing I could think off is having a huge gain from Bitcoin not unless this cartoon made it happen I don't think it can make Bitcoin fun again. Speaking off the cartoon itself I think that there is that poor-man's Arrow vibe showing to it and I guess it will pass to the general audience who are adults watching it, the only thing I can think off is that it will only be bearable for people who are already into Bitcoin or the cryptocurrency industry.

The only thing that made it funny was the semi-accurate depiction of Vitalik lol

I wonder if he'll come after the creators and sue them..
Don't forget Hal Finney that looks like in the real life.
I don't get the humor in there, if it have and just find it boring like I just watched it in 4 minute and that's it.

Where's New Jersey? United States. Where's United States? Earth! Mothafucker.

Watched the first episode and I can't say I like it. There is too much garbage in it, the jokes are stale and I can't see how it can make bitcoin fun again. But there is the basic information about bitcoin which can be informative to newbies in cryptocurrency. It can be reworked so that it can be appropriate and entertaining to more people.

I feel the same. The long boring story about a poor lonely coin walking around a grotesque world. A lot of death, poverty, abuse, vulgar language. Nothing that you would want to show your kids to make them interested and nothing you'd want to show your parents or grandparents.
I don't know how it's supposed to make Bitcoin popular. It's not even funny.

Well cartoons has a way of making things look a bit childish and informal bitcoin is really more serious than that we not here for all that bitcoin is a revolutionary that is changing the future transcation process. But a little bit of fun won't be harmful mate Grin

That's great. Bitcoin in cartoons will help to show its popularity and importance better. Cartoons will be watched by both adults and children.

The motivation of people in bitcoin can only come with the price and the cartoon is also a great awareness that can help in the increase of the demand for the commodity in the market which can lead to increase in price at the end.

Not sure if this has been posted before, but a new cartoon on Youtube was launched yesterday. I enjoyed the trailer and the first episode, I think the amount asked for is worth 100x more than any ICO I've ever seen.

What do you guys think? First Episode: Tears of a Clown here.

Excerpt from the article:

A hand reaches out in the dim, a keyboard clack. Command lines flood up on a screen to the tinkling of electronic clatter. An orange sphere enters view, the command to awake received. No, wait, a coin. With a marking below his face perhaps interpretable as the 'B' alphabet.

A confused, shaky greeting is the first utterance from 'B' as its creator looms over him. A cryptic message is issued. Then he is abandoned. Left to discover who or what his nature is in an unforgiving world.

Yet 'B' is not without friends.

I don't know. I've watched the trailer, but it is just not my kind of animated series, I guess. Or maybe it's done rather poorly. It also seems weird to me that Bitcoin is looking for father, not those who are using it. Making Bitcoin a sentient being seems not the best thing to do to me. However, it's obviously better than "Crypto" that shows cryptos only as means of comitting financial crimes. At least the series are trying to promote Bitcoin, make basic knowledge about it accessible, easy and I guess fun for some people. So of course it's great that it exists, and we definitely need a wider range of ways to popularize Bitcoin.

In my opinion, the video was a complete nonsense it is kind of weird watching it with some crazy stuff, Well I think the story was about bitcoin finding his father and that is Satoshi, But I really think that they shouldn't go with that plot but instead focus more on how bitcoin emerged and how bitcoin can help every people and how bitcoin can become their savior one day, But I guess that is a part where there are different scenarios that have subliminal messages in it so I don't really judge the animator of this animation, if you would think of how bitcoin struggle to know himself there are people that are using him for criminal activity for porn purposes for personal use and stuff, but there are friends that let's bitcoin go to the top and help him grow even more, But there is a sense on weirdness in it that got me wondering but whatever.

The cartoon is fun in a sense of the humor behind it, them showing a man buying drugs in on a ice cream truck shows subtle hints related to Bitcoin's early past even if the man didn't show he is buying the drugs with Bitcoin. But for the "fun" the OP is asking in his title I don't think it will reach to that level I am referring too as this is just merely a cartoon that I don't think personally can change the price of Bitcoin.

For a first episode I think it is alright but as you said there is a lot of room left for improvement in order for people to want to watch it regularly.

It already crossed 7K views , Hope it helps in spreading the awareness.
Its already 9.6k and counting.I dont know if these views came from speculators or into bitcoin users itself. Huh
The videos was promoted on different forums and websites so I guess the views are going from people that are interested in bitcoin. It would be interesting to see some statistics that show how many minutes a person watched it on average.

Saw them getting pushed by a crypto news site. I just saw the first episode and sheesh!#@#^% that was grim as fuck!
But I guess it's not meant for "kids".

It's already got 10k views let's see how far it gets in terms of viewership. If it can't push adoption - which would be an unrealistic expectation anyways, it would at least provide some hours of entertainment to plebs who are new to crypto.

The whole story is similar to the imagination used in The Simpsons series, many scenes are not directed to children so it is not recommended for family viewing in many areas.
To be honest in my evaluation, I only watched 5 minutes of the video but I hope that some fundamental changes will occur.

We want production and stories similar to GOT.
