I remember XRP had overtaken ETH twice, since XRP can, other cryptos might work, too,of course including new crypto.Sometimes, the waves pushed forward waves, a wave more than one wave.Anyway, even though BTC,it is also possible that one day it will be beaten by other cryptos.
New cryptos are being created almost daily, and while most are either shitCoin or scamcoin, but occasionally a supernova occurs, and maybe that is the one to overtake ETH.

as far as i know only ripple have beat ETH in 2nd position when bull run 2017 come, at that time ripple price is more than 1$.
i dont know for market cap capitalization, and that happen for several day, after that eth comeback to 2nd again, and never replace until now.
no i doubt it because eth will gain too, if other coin rise.

When 2 party is not equal the beating contest will dummy.
Ivthink ETH is all time ETH.

There are many crypto token listed in coinmarketcap and been traded in top exchanges like binance, Yobit and lDex exchange which people consider as proficient enough in the cryptocurrency market and knowing well that Eth is ranking number 2 position in the coinmarketcap, let's discuss Do you think that any new crypto currency overtake Eth in times of price value can that be possible?
its not possible that other crypto to overtake ETH because there is a lot of competitors and its really hard to predict what is going next
crypto can become popular base on their usefulness and the benefits user can get
as of now using eth you can get better benefits than other cryptos
like use it to pay on some website, supported by the large exchange, smart contract creation, use for investment and many more
but its not perfect and if new crypto can provide better benefits there is a possibility to overtake eth

maybe there is crypto out there that can take over ETH,but this can only be a short-term phenomenon. The thing is that, in addition to hype, we also need liquidity in the form of a community and an ecosystem. Without this, any new cryptocurrency will not be able to receive sufficient support to catch up and overtake ETH.

I think the opportunity for new cryptocurrencies will be very difficult to beat ethereum's capitalization because ethereum has performed quite well in the development of cryptocurrencies, one of which is that the ethereum platform has been widely used by every new project.  The community aspect becomes a reference for becoming a big project and this is owned by ethereum.

I think Ethereum is the most advanced coin and it continues to improve as well. There is no better and more reliable coin in terms of smart contracts. As long as it continues like this, we will see ethereum at the top of the list for a long time.

I don't think that any new crypto coin will beat eth easily. Because most of the tokens are created on ethereum blockchain. Also ethereum has a great marketcap. And eth2.0 will coming soon. After eth2.0 many low competitor can vanish from the market. Because eth 2.0 is major upgrade of ethereum network.

To be honest no one can ever predict the future.
And according to me no coin can become the fathercoin ETH in the cryptocurrencies family.
The reason behind the popularity of ETH is it's availability and less fees. And it has played an immense role in the development of ERC-20 tokens.
So we can easily conclude that, no crypto can beat ETH in the market.

I will not agree with you about lower fees!During the hype of Defi, fees in the ETH network were unreasonably high, and to transfer tokens with the amount of 10 dollars, you had to pay 2 dollars for the fee...

I don't see any right now there have been a lot of coins touted or predicted to challenge Ethereum but until now it's still Ethereum that rules the 2nd spot and they deserve to be in the second spot behind the original Cryptocurrency Bitcoin, Ripple was a big threat but now they are in the fourth place.

Although it is possinle that any altcoin or cryptocurrency could beat ethereum coin in the future. However speaking of it's toughness in terms of popularity and it's great volume, it is very hard for any altcoin to beat ethereum even in the next 5 years. To beat ethereum coin it ahould be in twrms of volume trading, because etherejm has the second most volume coin in the crypto market. If there is any coin in the future surpasses the volume trading of ethereum, therefore it beats ethereum coin.

~ Ethereum is the biggest platform based token. It has the most used cases and almost most of the token in the market uses ethereum as a platform. ~snip~
Ethereum is not a token. It's a coin itself. Ethereum have it's own blockchain. Most of the token use eth chain network for managing their assets. There are other token platform too. It's hard for those new assets to cross eth marketcap while a lot of old coins couldn't beat it.

I don't think so. Atlest at this point of time it's very hard to cross ethreum. Ethereum is the biggest platform based token. It has the most used cases and almost most of the token in the market uses ethereum as a platform. The market cap of ethereum is also very high. It's almsost impossible for any crypto to cross the marketcap of ethereum. But this market is also very unpredictable maybe in future there will be coins which can cross ethereum. That's it.

I think for now most new project owners just want to make money fast and they just create existing projects and don't have a better idea than ETH. so I think there is no way a new project can replace or equalize like ETH itself.

XRP already did it but ETH was able to reclaim it's rank again as #2 rank base on coinmarketcap. But if we are going to talk about new crypto to beat ETH then there is a possibility but it is very low as it needs to overtake first the top 3 to top 10 projects before it can challenge ETH.

But who knows in the future if there will be new crypto that can outrank ETas everything is possible especially if that new crypto has the feature to really challenge ETH.

I don't think it's time for them because the potential to get a good spot for new coins/tokens takes a further process and steps to get there. After BTC, ETH always ranks 2nd.

It could happen, if the coin has its own way or a new system in the future to compete with Ethereum.
Yes, indeed the competition is always very open to all coins in the future, the only problem is that if a new coin that competes with Ethereum is already very famous, I think it will be very difficult to beat.

in the cryptoqurrency industry anything can happen at any time, but I think Ethereum is one of the big altcoins and I don't think new coins can replace Ethereum's ranking in the market. But for the matter of price, there are some coins out there that outperform Ethereum itself.

Of course it is possible, because there is no limitation for any coin to reach whatever peak it can be able to reach but not most of the coins are executing their plans because they launch their coins and make some huge money then left the project with no development.
