Be very careful about what the people who red trusted me say.
They have seen on my sites ponzi sheme and scam.
I have never run ponzi shemes and i have never scammed.

If these people can not make differencies between ponzi and not ponzi...they can misslead you.
If they see ponzi where no ponzi are...they can certaily not see ponzi where ponzi realy are.
It is just an advise...be very careful.

I have been scammed by faucets and it's frustrating, really. My advice is to search for it first to check whether it's a scam or a legit one. Take time to read all of the reviews.

We should always arm ourselves with enough informations on how the scammer works so we can avoid being scammed. Those scammers will not stop until they get what they want. Over the years, their offers are more tempting than the one they offer before and they can make you easily believe that their offer is legit.

these scams are scary, I hope some laws have established early so it will be more regulated. Now it seems like a wild west, people just invent all sorts of scams without really being punished.

Well one way to spot these scams early, is to check them against http://www.badbitcoin.org/thebadlist/ and if all of us keep reporting

these scams to them, then we will make this site more effective. I always check this site, before I dive into something new. You can

also just Google it, because someone would have raised a red flag on some platform, if they were scammed. Just report all scams on

this forum or other platforms.. so that people will know about it in advance.  Wink

Bitfinex hack, poloniex attack, hashocean scam, and the biggest one which no one can forget, it was Mt Gox.
Everyone got goxxed after that case as a very big amount of coins got stolen in that hack.

hack is not the same as scam

Bitfinex and Poloniex are still working, I guess they somehow returned the coins or found some kind of agreement

Altcoin ICOs, Altcoin ICOs and more Altcoin ICOs.  Not saying they are all bad but collecting tons of btc with no real value behind the product is scammy enough for me.  Be careful if you plan on entering that market its a shark tank.

The several altcoins signature campaigns that will pay in several look suspicious to me.

Let's see how Komodo will end

Hope the team won't disappear as soon as they receive the ICO money

The only way that I've been taken advantage of is when the exchange cryptsy shut down the website with the customer money. This has happened to a couple of exchanges and there is almost no way to recover the coins.

You need to stay away from ponzi hyip or cloud mining, ponzi a scheme that said its going to double your money in a short time, hyip and cloud mining promise a huge back of interest which is an impossible rate, so if you encountered people or service that said you need to invest and your coin can be multiply easily that is the first sign of scam, do not trust people easily and find all the site information before you decide to invest

Obviously the cloud mining sites (or most of them) and the ponzi schemes which appear everyday online should being treated as scams because investing there is really risky

Too Weird to Live. Too Rare to Die...
I encountered 2, the Opair ICO and Declouds ICO scams.

Whenever it is a ICO make sure they use a well trusted and verifiable escrow and clear rules on the roadmap they need to follow before funds are released.

A self moderated thread for a ICO is a red flag.

If the OP doesn't use a new bct account but a old one, ask the OP to verify the account by signing a staked address. Because accounts here can easily be bought ans sellers don't care what they're used for. Otherwise they would leave neutral feedback themselves stating it's a sold account.

Even if the signature campaign is managed by a trusted member, that doesn't mean the project can be trusted.

And like with almost everything, when something sounds to good to be true, it usually is.

There is a lot of scams using Bitcoin as payment processor right now, this scammers think that using Bitcoin would be safest for them..The most part of the cloud mining and ponzi schemes which pop up daily online are just scams

It's been more than three years that I am involved with bitcoin and I can tell you the place where newbies fell most is the "cloud mining" area.

Never put your money in any website that says we have 4-6 datacenters around the world(these are like mushrooms nowadays). Also never put your money in any website that offers you daily interest for your coins.

I don't know any successful site yet where you can invest your bitcoins so the best place to keep them is your wallet until you want to sell them.
