As far as I know this is not possible but if he returned then there is a huge chance of bitcoin to pump and dump because he owns much bitcoin in his wallet but there are some countries where bitcoin is legal like japan Malta Singapore so I think it will directly effect the whole world and those people who invested in bitcoin

Not like any investments that someone can take everything ,Here it can only be happen from hack or scam but not in regular basis.

Even though Satoshi is the one who created the bitcoin, I don't think that he can stop it because there are already many changes happened after he created it, no one can stop it, and for sure it would require big finances, great tram and knowledge to do it. Well, I dont think that Satoshi Nakamoto wouldnt think about stopping bicoin because there are many people who are using and get benefits from it. Why would he choose to delete it if he knows how good it is to many people.

Probably could launch a massive attack for a LONG fucking time... but really they could probably afford to take down "the internet"... Bitcoins the least of the worry about what could go down IMO.

What great with Bitcoin is it being decentralized. Mostly all noded are set up voluntarily because of the interest on Bitcoin. Even with Satoshi appearing and telling people to stop mining or setting up node, I believe the Bitcoin ecosystem is huge enough and performing well enough that most of this supporter can ignore what Satoshi wanted them to do. So I think Satoshi have no power to stop Bitcoin because most of the supporter are doing it according to their own accord and not because Satoshi told them or hire them to do it.
It seems like nothing can stop Bitcoin, including the man who created Satoshi Nakamoto, who I think is a great and extraordinary human.

I believe that Bitcoin is unstoppable now and Satoshi couldn't stop it anymore. And I agree with the one statement below that Satoshi was fully aware and in his full will that his Bitcoin creation/Blockchain industry will be more trending and popular in the world market as the days, months, and years goes by..and He can never stop it. His creation was designed to grow fast and gives jobs, earning, investment and easiest ways of fund management to people and will continues till the next generations. We should be grateful for the brilliant and unique ideas that Satoshi has.

We can't rely on Satoshi staying sane for an unlimited amount of time. Fortunately, he created something so powerful that even he himself is unable to destroy.
So, imo, the answer to OP's question is NO, Satoshi(let alone anyone else!) can't stop Bitcoin.
Some old billionaires, big banks and governments should stop trying. It's an unkillable technology of the future, you either embrace it or limp forward without it, but you can't destroy it.
The name(Satoshi) doesn't signify a single person but Satoshi is a general name for the group. Satoshi won't like to destroy what has been done because they have liberated the common man from government enslavement. He can with 51% attack, so stop saying he can't, though this will be a tough decision as it will cost huge funds to be executed.

Not many different miners producing blocks at these prices these days. And these are too big to hide
The only way for those few big ones is to be max compliant by any means not to get into focus of 'long arms'.

In the past there used to be bitcoin keys to stop the full network or to send a message to all nodes, if i'm not wrong those keys stop working and only a few users have access to those keys, one of them was satoshi and another one was the owner of this forum A.K.A. Theymos.

What is the point of stopping this idea if it brings benefits to the majority of the citizens of the planet Earth. There is a high probability that this financial system will spread even more globally than it is now. In any case, bitcoin is the most progressive way of financial interaction that exists at the moment.
It may not benefit just a few people, having their influence over a wider circle, and then the number will not matter at all. In most cases, this is what happens if you analyze the number of whales (wallets and large amounts) relative to past years - the decentralization is very obvious.
