The one main point of religion is to focus on God... at least on His existence. The reason why God split the languages at Tower of Babel times was to break down the strength that mankind had to subvert God into mans' corrupt ways.

Mankind still have this strength ability. However, God has placed safeguards into the world to protect mankind and Himself from mans' corruption. When the safeguards are close to being breached by man - and Satan and his crew - Jesus will return and straighten things out permanently.

Note the thing that Jesus said that shows that we might be getting very close to the return-time of Jesus. Matthew 24:36-41:
Go to the Bible and look at the area around the above quote. Stuff is happening like it did in the days of Noah. The question is, how bad will God let things get before He sends His Son, Jesus, back?

Religious discipline has been evident since the beginning of the world, but it divides people into different tribes. Religious system encourages people as a background for building a just and harmonious life and a harmonious religious discipline. However, religion and politics are regulated by different laws and practices in different countries. As it can be said that in some countries the influence of religion on politics is severe, for example, in countries like France, religious discipline is strictly suppressed in politics, and in Canada, politicians are free to express their religious thoughts and identity. So I think that religion and politics are two social phenomena, just as religion shapes the value system of people and determines moral rules and regulations, politics shapes the rights and systems of individuals. So I think not religion but some political abuse is creating unrest in the world.

It can be a good place without religion but it is definitely a good place with infrastructure but I am sure that it will not get the peace of mind of people. No religion says do not develop but religion says to develop all in a peaceful way. Therefore if religion is placed in everyone's heart and development work is done, then I think it is possible to develop peacefully in every country of the world.

My religion has given me a sense of identity; when the world leaves, only He stays. If religious conflicts have arisen in the past or present, it was anchored by man, not the religion. I don't think any religion promotes fighting and killing inhumanely, but those who practice these religions are the ones who cause chaos. Even if we all practiced one religion, some people within that religion would still be rebellious - that's how many religions came about, because one person rebelled.

What we should be concerned about is changing our mindset towards other human beings for the better; we should be concerned about being our brother's keeper as a person. Just choose to be a good human who does no harm to others. My point is, religion can help shape one's mindset for the better, give one peace, and a sense of identity.

I don't think so, considering that everything that happens is already there, how this life goes, it's all there. And even if religion is said to be a source of problems for life now, the proof is that the inventors and scholars of ancient times, most of them were religious people, they came from different religions. No one insulted each other.

By the way, are you sure that all those who are talking are religious people? or is it just for their own personal interest?

Religion will collapse when Jesus returns and takes over everything.

I don't think the world can be a better place without religion op, because religion has brought so many good things to the societies that made many people whom they are today in the society, and they will do everything possible to make religion to live forever.

If you are talking about religion, people are the ones that form religion which will be very difficult to convince them that they can live or do without religion because if they don't carry out their religion things a day or week, they will not be comfortable with their duty or daily activities, because they know that is the source of their power and income. Even though it will going to be a better place without religion, the world leaders will never allow such thing to happen because they know that it will going to create so many crisis in the leaders position because there are some countries of the world who elected their leaders base on religion, and if you don't belong to the ruling religion, there is no way they can vote for you to achieve the position.

Better for who or what, since people are religion.

For now, or we could say, in the near future it seems not. However, perhaps in the future, when human resources are very advanced, it seems that religion will not be such a priority. In fact, it is possible that religion will be considered ancient concepts. although in fact currently in some countries religion is only trending as ceremonial. yes, it works only in weddings. However, in reality, religious values ​​are very noble, with love as its foundation. Unfortunately, from time to time religion has not been separated from political vehicles for the interests of a few people or groups who have an interest in it. Sadly, religion has become a patent in which there is a ticket to heaven if you follow its teachings and rules. In fact, there is nothing wrong with that, let alone encouraging someone to have good character. However, the understanding of religion is often distorted, and it is not uncommon for individuals to interpret it according to their wishes without considering various points of view.

IMO, the world would be destroyed without religion. The problem is, not all people have good understanding and good manners. in fact, religion is often commodified. It is truly unfortunate to see teachings that teach love, but are understood with a greedy soul. greedy for rewards, heaven, and so on. For me personally, religion is only a basis for us to act according to applicable rules.  Believing in one thing is the right of every human being, it's just that the concept of humanity must be upheld. Yes, so that we don't destroy nature, harm people, or go against human values. The point is, for now religion is still very necessary. At the very least, it will act as a balance in an era that is currently full of turmoil. another important one for me, based on my understanding. Religion teaches to have good relations first between humans and other humans. then, we can connect with the Supreme Being through prayer.

I Do not know if you know a lion religion. That is when there is a lack of prey in the forest i.e. when there is no food it tries to eat the children of its tribe. What I mean by this story is that conflict in the world will happen without religion. So there is no scope to blame religion alone. However if we observe the history, it will be seen that the main reason behind the conflicts centered on religion is power and money. And the present world is no exception.

We are in an advanced era now and the situation whereby people are condemning other religions seem to have reduced compared to back in the days, technology and civilization is gradually taking over and people don’t have much time conflicting about their religious beliefs anymore so i don’t think religion is the cause of the problems in the world today. Religion has helped to shape the world more better and has given purpose to people, without religion I don’t think the world would have been a better place. 

You have a point, some people do take this religion too seriously and so they are blind to acknowledge other people’s beliefs, believing in something doesn’t make other people’s beliefs wrong. You have yours and they have theirs and no one will agree to the fact their beliefs are wrong. People need to learn to respect others beliefs and focus on their own religion.

Your reason are actually reasonable, but hard to believe, some of cannot do wthout religion because of how dip they believe in religions and the teachings of the religion.

In my opinion, Religion is not the problem; beliefs are the problem for following their prophecies blindly instead of focusing on the only teachings of the holy book.

Religion teachings are always simple to follow, but some of us take them personally, which is why they cause problems for ourselves.

Without religion, I don't think we will know where we are headed; that is the only reason why I will disregard your thoughts.

The world would never be a better place without religion. No religion ever preaches quarrels. Every religion speaks of peace. All these problems are man-made.  It is people who create differences between people.

Even though Religion has also been one of the reasons why humans disagree among themselves since different religions have different doctrines and beliefs and it is very difficult to convince others who are not part of the religion you believe to also do same things you do as your own doctrines portrays but yet majority of the religion practices about peace and how to live in unity with one another despite the religion they believe in so if religion wasn't there the cruelty of mankind would have been too extreme with one another so that is one of the area I feel religion should still exist. Just like everyone speaks diverse languages that is how we also have a lot of religion and that is what have kept most people of same religion to believe and do things in accordance with the teachings of their respective religion so it creates an enabling ground for individuals of same beliefs to speak in one voice and do things in common with each other.

IMO, there are both negative/positive things in religion, good in any religion that guides people to freedom, but also a lot of scandals that people themselves abuse religion to profiteering for personal, group, regional, national games,....

I have been thinking that if we all agreed to accept a truth in life that is the sameness of religion, or no religion - just as a concept that people themselves describe. A happy world of being loved and helped without calculation is paradise. However, the layers of consciousness intertwine in life for each individual to perfect themselves, so the interaction of everything matters has its own values.

The impact of religion on the world is tough to judge. While religion has played a significant role in shaping societies, providing moral guidance & and really developing a sense of community it has also been a source of conflict & division. Whether the world would be better without religion is subjective & depends on individual perspectives. Removing religion entirely may eliminate certain conflicts but could also remove the positive aspects it brings like comfort, meaning & a sense of purpose for many people. Balancing the benefits & drawbacks of religion is crucial in considering this question.

Let's say that the world has no more religion and every person who's living has their personal belief and intelligence. I think that there will be another problem that shall rise towards the absence of religion. And let's just accept our differences whether it's in religion, in race, in attitude and ethics. This is the beauty of the world, we've got differences and respect is what will make us meet in the middle and accept all of these matters that we don't agree with but deep inside, we've got all in common and we're all here to survive and live our lives together regardless of our beliefs.

This is not the religion matter and there's no anyone that have a right to blame the religion in this matter, is just between we human beings that are weaked with each other, but stated that the world will be a better place without religion I didn't agree with you Mate; because I know in this world we're living in currently now if there's no any single religions I don't think we can remain in peace. The main problems we're facing in this world is insecurity and those that in front which are the leaders they refuse to considering us by providing each an every community a security, that's the only way i think we can get a peace mindset and then live in better life without any disturb.

Why should you put the blame on religion when it is human that does all the atrocities from their wicked heart. Religious has nothing to do with a country's political welfare because I believe that all religions will not advice any of their congregation to steal, kill and take bribe because it is against the word of God.

God created us to be united as one to line in love peace and harmony but the greedy nature of man will not allow us to seek for the kingdom of God first but rather we are after money. A lot of people might have committed suicide if not for the help of their religious belief due to the hardship in the country. A man that has the fear of God will do things right irrespective of his religion.
