After my last reply about that Ripple is stable at 27c and how I'm still hesitated to go long on Ripple, it jumped to 34c.

For the record, I didn't go long at the end and kept my profit from shortening it in the first place after the SEC suit alert.

Closing the topic to avoid spam.

Impossibility does not exist in crypto currency and this is why you cannot write off ripple just yet; since the focus of the thread is on profit; i would say ofcourse you can still take profits from ripple if you can trade efficiently; but i suppose that the profits will be in little percentages. Do your research and get it right.

I don't like Ripple at all.

Yesterday I shorted at Bitmex at 2x and today I closed my position for a hefty profit at 28c.

BUT now I start thinking... where should be the bottom? 10c? 1c? ZERO? Can we profit if it tanks enough? What are the chances of short recovery?

What is your speculation - where will be the bottom?
I think the chances of a fast recovery are almost zero, people got scared now that they know the SEC is going to file a lawsuit against it and there are enough reasons to think the SEC is going to win this, or at least that is my perspective, which means that XRP is going to face harsher regulations and I will not be surprised if a great deal of exchanges drop the coin in order to avoid problems with the SEC, to me this has the potential to be the beginning of the end for XRP which is why almost everyone is getting out of the coin.

We're still waiting for more update and announcement coming from Ripple management, there should be action, they could now allow this to continue they should address the situation, unfortunately it's holiday and they need a few days before they can talk to SEC about the issue, if your a Ripple and you are holding a lot of it, be prepare for a massive loss, or you can cut your losses now.

Yes of course, profit is still possible as long as there’s an active volume with XRP. Anyway, I see the dump as normal with XRP because since then, bad news will come to them and as expected the price will go dump after the up trend. Many are shock with the current news on XRP, but still this is not the end of for them.
But the possibility of price recovery is less for xrp at this moment. I think we won't hear any good news soon regarding xrp. Though the price showing stability since last few hours but it has dropped significantly in last few days. And this trend may contain in future. Exchangers also delisting xrp, which is bad news for the coin. See this article, we should focus on these facts before investing in xrp newly
3 reasons why XRP price can continue to fall after a 63% crash in four days

There’s so much disappointment on XRP and the current problem they are facing is not a joke and not a small thing, so I’d rather stay away from this coin for now until they resolve it and until the court has its final decision. If you are holding some of this coin then know when to exit as much as possible, we still don’t know what will happen next but if you want to save yourself from a bigger trouble then make a plan now.

The problems Ripple is facing right now are quite serious, and of course we still don't feel safe to invest any further. before stabilization and realization of this problem. it is difficult to seek profit when the position does not guarantee more profit. it could just be thrown down. but there are still some traders who dare to take the opportunity at a time like this. but personally I don't want to try it. because no one knows if it will end where.

It is very difficult to predict a bottom price for Ripple. I think they are having a huge problem. Few people think that, but I think the price of Ripple could even go below $ 0.10  Undecided

I don't know but I would not trust Ripple at the moment, it's a big coin but when the regulators are your enemy, there's a less chance that you'll survive, so I think I'm not touching Ripple, instead, I'll just watch it closely and see it's effect on the overall market.

Concerning the recommendation of Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple Lab himself, "it appears that if you are able to take the long view, then it will be sensible for you to make some investment in Ripple XRP. It is possible that we may not see a drastic price spike, but the stats show that for many who are willing to take long-term options, it may be a wise move."

Oh well you still can.

If you know how to buy at it's lowest dip point you can still profit from it. But from what I can see it may still go down further because of this SEC issues and everything. Seems not a good idea if you buy now because there may be a high chance that it can go down to .16 or more. However, this delisting issue in some exchanhes added the spice of the bad situation resulting to the down xrp price.

Forget ripple and you should replace this with a better coin from the market. Ripple is not worth again to be bough or even use this as a coin to generate profit.
So many people are getting trapped and the trend was showing a big signal for another bearish trend to happen.
This is just the beginning for the disaster that will happen with ripple.

I'm guessing the SEC announcement is what affected XRP price but this isn't the end, XRP is a top crypto project and it achieved that for some reasons, it's use case is why I invested on the project, way better than most new crypto projects of today, as per your question, no one can give you the right answer, it's all predicts, you can move to other top altcoin if you aren't feeling comfortable with XRP right now

In this volatile market, yes we can profit even if Ripple has an active lawsuit made by SEC. As long as it's still tradable in different exchanges, you can profit from the situation.

Knowing about the bottom? it probably did already. But no one knows if that's the final bottom that XRP would get this time. Just close your position and as usual in the market, after it dumps, there will be a pump. It may not be big for Ripple this time but it fluctuates.

it could go to the zero value. It's too risky shorting the market when you didn't know what will be happening with XRP. This is a long time battle between XRP and SEC. If XRP could with the case and it may bring back the price of SEC but otherwise, when SEC was losing in this case and massive delisting will be happening with XRP.
Yea some people may shorting this dip but it's not always working. how about people who have been shorting it when the price was above 30 cents?

I think ripple will return to 0.2 or even below. it could be worse if the SEC finds another error. there is currently a deeper investigation into this issue. I think that as long as it's going on, ripple doesn't have the possibility to go up. so maybe this will be a bad fall for ripple. prepare for the worst and start securing your funds.

Ripple looks "stable" in the past couple of hours after the yesterday halt. This is "positive" counting that now it's daytime in the US, e.g. SEC working time.
That's why I'm considering to gamble for more profit now and go long on it.

But on second thought, I may wait for under 20c...

I'm really disappointed with Ripple. Last week, I used Ripple for gambling, I converted my USDT to Ripple and deposit it to a gambling site, I did use Ripple so I can save a transaction fee or withdrawal fee from the exchange.
I already made 10x from my starting capital of Ripple, but when I will calculate it and convert it to USDT, I lost a lot from the price I bought.

For me, Ripple is still profitable, a lot of buyers may try to buy this dip.
Upon checking the chart of Ripple, a significant move, touching multiple horizontal support. But it's still risky if we may see a small pullback and Ripple will continue to dump again.
