Im not a trader nor an investor so  obviously i dont have a portfolio but i do have some bitcoin balance on my bitcoin wallet and i do have also some altcoins and tokens  on my etherwallet,  now if ever ill be one of those investors and traders , i think ill allocate 80% percent of bitcoins and 30 %, percent rest goes to altcoins and some tokens   .
indeed that method can help you to benefit because the current condition of bitcoin prices is experiencing price increases and it seems like the current trending is a bitcoin that will start price recovery and will return to another $20k even more, take advantage of moments like this to grow assets you have.
high percentages in bitcoin could give us more profits later.as major coin in cryptocurrency market bitcoin price rise smoothly when its not suffered by fud and negative news.and as we see today it could rise above $6300.

This is not important to discuss, but it's for general curiosity. I hold over 100 coins and tokens but most of them found in airdrops so they have near zero value. I only have 11 including BTC that I invested and really care about. I don't want to name all of them but as of today, nearly 66% percent (based on BTC price, not fiat) of my portfolio fills with Bitcoin.
Can you share your percentage of BTC holding? Kindly, only count coins that have value.
Right now what I have in my wallet is hundred percent of Bitcoin. I don't know if I'm doing the right thing or not, but I think Bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency, and others should be a matter of choice. I have seen poeole who claim that more money can come from investing in Ethereum, but I don't really think that is true ,cause from my personal experience, I have made a lot of money by investing in bitcoin. Bitcoin gives more profit than any other crypto can give because the price increase is always much, unlike others that will give you just a little increase in what you have invested. So I'm on hundred percent Bitcoin, for now.

I think all people actually hold 100% Bitcoin on their portofolio , and sometimes they just trade it for profit. Bitcoin is the only coin people trust in by the fact that altcoins price are decreased when Bitcoin gain positive return or just dumped. No one should hold other coins for too long for safety.

there are not too many assets that I have in the portfolio because most of them experience significant loss of value, I still hold around 50% in the portfolio and that also includes some coins that I think have the potential to rise in price when market growth starts, the rest is only garbage tokens which may have no value at all even though the bullrun market comes sometime later.

90% of what I have in my wallet is Bitcoin, 10% is Stellar (XLM). This year I didn’t have that time for buying altcoins and the only reason why I did buy Stellar was because of the airdrop, after I got their $25, I decided that I will buy more and add to it. I’m just focusing on Bitcoin alone and I’m okay with it.
I have been trading BTC/usd and I also have some that I kept for hodl. The XLM is my wallet is also for hodl, I’m just holding it for when the price goes up. But if the price of BTC goes up and XLM doesn’t, I will just sell it cause it will be of no use to me.

It is an interesting portfolio. I never heard about guys who have 90% BTC. As for me, 40% is Bitcoin, and the rest 60% is the altcoins, which attract me. These are TRON, ETH, Ontology, Cardano.

Bitcoin is the coin that I hold most of, currently I have over 70% of my total investments in Bitcoin.
Most of which are actually stored in a time-locked contract that will expire in just about 2 years, meaning that I can't actually do anything with it till then.

I'm a firm believer that Bitcoin should always be the coin of which I hold a majority in my portfolio.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
Many are in the same position as you, they bought altcoins trusting the developers were saying the truth when they claimed they had an idea that could become the next big thing in the market, many were attracted by such promises since the profits that could be gotten if those words were true are incredible, but most of the time those promises were false and now there are many people that are wondering what to do with their coins, I hope that you can recover your money but if that does not happen then you need to find a way to increase your bitcoin holdings and fast since bitcoin is not going to keep waiting forever, and at some point it will begin to grow and many people will lament not having enough of it to make a difference in their lives.
I think we virtually share the same thing in common, these are the 3 major coins that I have my investment in too, and just that my bitcoin is 65%, while my ETH is also 20% and my litecoin is 15%. I mean those are based on my personal investment, because those are the ones I still count as a reliable coin or investment for future.

My other portfolios is just full of some altcoins that I got through my work and I am still yet to know what the future holds for them, I know I did a diligent work in getting them out through my research, but only God can tell their intention, so I am waiting to see which one will join my other bitcoin portfolio.
You will do great in time just keep your calm, you are treating icos and other new altcoins the way they should be treated, as small gambles, that if they turn out to be right then you will make some money and if they fail you are not really affected by it, our main investment should be in the top coins in the market and even then there are coins in which I will never invest since they go against the purpose of this market, for example a coin like ripple despite being the third most important coin is a coin I will never support.

I sold all of my bitcoin a few months ago after saw the negative market trend  of bitcoin. But I am start to buy bitcoin again because the price of bitcoin is getting up. Now my crypto investment that in form of bitcoin is only 20%. 80% is in form of altcoin. I will sell my altcoin soon to collect more btc.
if we little patience while facing bearish trend on bitcoin and accumulate our bitcoin stock maybe we will earn much profit later.but only brave traders and investors that could do this.

In my portfolio the percentage of bitcoin is 50%. I generally, feel confident in holding bitcoin. As far as, other altcoins are concerned I am holding around 10 of them, but would like to buy a few good ones.

Right now, my portfolio looks something like this:

BTC: 90%
ETH: 9%
Other alts: 1%

Earlier I had some BCH and BSV coins as well, but sold all of them when Craig S Wright filed the libel and many of the exchanges delisted BSV. Most of my ETH came from the bounty campaigns (converted the tokens to ETH using DEX sites), and roughly 50% of the BTC also came from various signature campaigns (the remainder was purchased in the first quarter of 2017).

You can’t completely rely on altcoins you need to quickly buy bitcoin,

why not ? not all altcoins are bad  . if you only invest on the good altcoins , you can also earn alot from them like what you already earned on your bitcoin investments  .

Bitcoin bull run has a way of making some altcoins value to pump but not all of them and it can never be compared to the profit you will get when you invest in bitcoin itself.

altcoins can pump double or tripple than the price of bitcoins and you can expect to earn big on them if you have invested a good amount of alts  . whats good about alts is that they are cheaper which means you can buy and hoard in a bigger volumes not unlike to bitcoin which was expensive and you cant hardly afford to buy btc in a whole  .

I can assure you that the majority or even all of us would answer 50% - 90% for bitcoin, mine is 80% bitcoin and 20% alts. Holding the most established coin is definitely the safest to place your investment to avoid losses. I also hold a good number of established altcoins that I usually sell when there's 20% + profit, and then buy more bitcoin. A few would always argue the opposite and I guess day trading works for them, but not for me tho; just too risky.

While it is true that my purpose since entering the crypto market was to accumulate as much as possible of bitcoin and ether, I must admit that my attempts to increase my btc holdings through trading have failed and that is why at this moment I have very little btc and a lot of low-value altcoins where I failed to invest my valuable btc.

Therefore, at this moment I may only have 20% of my crypto holdings in btc, 30% in ether and the remaining 50% in altcoins, but my purpose is to sell altcoins at the best possible price to increase my bitcoins to 60% of my holdings.

In the long term, I think it is worth investing only in Bitcoin and Ethereum. Investment in the first coin, because it is unconditionally the market leader and the most reliable digital asset. The second coin has promising development prospects, which is indicated by its relevance in the market for alternative cryptocurrencies and tokens. Thus, 50% of Bitcoins in the investment portfolio is the minimum necessary.

I agree with you for the most part but I would keep a small percentage to gamble on low cap coins.  Notice I say gamble because how risky it is investing in new coins.  I wouldn't use more than 10 percent of your total crypto funds.
unfortunately i have no bitcoin now, all of my portofolio in alternate coins.i think if i save altcoin it will give me more profits and its rate and bitcoin rate rise together.
You can’t completely rely on altcoins man, you need to quickly buy bitcoin, you are right to say that Bitcoin bull run has a way of making some altcoins value to pump but not all of them and it can never be compared to the profit you will get when you invest in bitcoin itself.

I don’t know the type of altcoins you’re holding, but irrespective of the altcoins, they are still learning in pump where bitcoin his when the time comes, some altcoins might even die off the market with any little news that will shake them, better you put your investment in bitcoin safe haven than those altcoins.

This is true. But I don't think this will affect the top 20.
