That price movement was really good and pleasant for my eyes!
Guys let me tell you if you see price at 420 buy, don't hesitate too much. Roll Eyes
And as you saw there is still much room for profit..
To many people love this coin and that is why like it!

I want to hear D9 say something. The twitter post are boring, the irc is quiet as well as facebook, and the reddit has nothing for a while.

IS THIS COIN STILL A PROJECT OR NOT?Huh?

Seems we have been forgotten about. I still have a lot and would like better value.

I think that something really huge is coming there.. Grin  Grin

Not really sure as there have been no real news or contact from D9. This is looking like a pump by existing members because a lot of people still have huge bags of CANN some have also been accumulating during the low times, now it is time to pump it up a bit to pass the bags onto the next guys. Not that it is overall a bad thing, helps to keep the volume up in the exchanges so that the trades dont completely forget the coin.
I think this is the last chance to buy CANN around 1000sat. 420 is coming soon...

Random question, but is there anyway to use the current bootstrap.dat file to speed up syncing in the android wallet? I am rooted and able to view the data folder for the app, however inside all i have found is a file called 'blockchain'. Would I be correct in assuming that deleting this file and adding the bootstrap.dat (or possibly renaming it to blockchain) would resync with faster speeds?
SO, to answer my own question...... no you cannot use the bootstrap.dat file with the android wallet, or at least not in the folder i thought (/DATA/DATA/com.cannabiscoin.wallet/APP_BLOCKSTORE)

Latenite, can you see the checkpoints file? It's in the "assets" directory along with the help files but I doubt that it's accessible under any circumstance.

If you can then I can supply you a new one which will make catching up a trivial task. Otherwise wait for a refresh to be released shortly - just about to look at the exchange functions in the next couple of days.

BTW, the Android wallet is SPV and not full node so no, there is nowhere to put the bootstrap.dat file because it would never be read.

I wil search for this 'assets' directory Smiley who knows.... maybe I'll find it, either way its a new project for the night Cool

edit
Found the assets folder with the checkpoints file Smiley Cheesy ( a lil help from apk editor, and fx file browser Wink ) any chance you could pm me a link to the new checkpoints file?? i can beta test lol
/edit

Sent but I doubt the system will allow a brute-forced file alteration (actually I fervently hope not). The file should abort loading when it no longer matches the signature. No harm in trying though Smiley

another random question about the droid wallet. I know private keys can be backed up and restored to droid wallet in case of emergency. My question is, is there any way to use the backed up wallet file and import into a pc wallet? (using notepad++ I'm able to see the string contained inside the file) I have attempted using the entire string which complains about 'int recieved, require bool' and ive tried portions of the string which give the error 'invalid priv key'.

Would  be correct in assuming that as this is a mobile wallet ,not a full node, that the priv keys generated within the app are in a different (non compatible) format?

All in all, I will simply be waiting on the new app release, I'm just bored and feeling adventurous lol

The FBI is attempting to stretch the All Writs Act of 1789 to force companies to breach encryption

U.S citizens interested in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies particularly might want to have a word with their congressman and senator. Remember this is an election year and a good time to remind politicians, politely, they represent you and your wishes. Crippled encryption applies to your private communications and data storage too so it is something to which everyone should give intense scrutiny.

In the immortal words of Benjamin Franklin:

Quote
“They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Think hard about this heinous attempt to invade your and everyone's privacy. Surely this is a case for just saying "NO!".

See a current article in the NYTimes: Tim Cook Opposes Order for Apple to Unlock iPhone, Setting Up Showdown.

Update: Report: Encryption Is No Hurdle to Targeting Bad Guys

Last Call on requests for wallet features/fixes in imminent round of updates

There haven't been a lot of responses so far so that means most people are basically happy with the wallets as they are or what?

I'll be closing the book on requests/suggestions for this round midnight (GMT) Friday, February 19th so if you have a need/want for wallet feature addition/change you need to bring it to my attention this week.

If you do not wish to post publicly then you can message me on this forum or email here

Smiles cost you nothing and provide surprising dividends, share one with someone new every day Cheesy

Ability to have all my weed coins in one wallet! lol jk

Wallet is good. What we need is D9 to come back, make more youtube videos, show off his CANNdy supply from this last years harvests, show sales of CANNdy at dispensaries, run another special event to gain new users, donate CBD oil to children in need, donate high THC oil to patients in need.
