@paytplayLet me try to answer your questions as I parse them. The meat of the matter comes with the fourth quote:
Here is the deal....
Really? When, exactly, did you make this deal?
[CannabisCoin] has a dev. ... D9 made it , said he was going to take care of it, when did that change ?
True, true, he does, never.
The dev is supposed to do things, the dev has not delivered.
He does, yes he has. With more than a million blocks in the chain the coin still functions exactly as designed, demonstrating the fundamental robustness of core 0.8.6.3. In your simplistic view of a coin "contract" that is delivery in full.
What do you want us to do?
Actually, nothing.
The
impatient, on the other hand, want lots of visible motion. Funny thing about those impatient souls is that they
never offer inconvenient little details like say, a specific means of satisfying all reporting requirements for injecting donated supply into dispensaries' inventory and distributing that supply to identified persons in need
without incurring horrendous tax penalties that are already trying to strangle a nascent industry. That could be because said requirements are in a state of flux with every jurisdiction seemingly having their own interpretation of non-standardized state legislation. Tedious and painstaking query and clarification shouldn't take more than a couple of years, right?
If you really
want to help then you could try responding in ways we have actually asked for, such as reviewing and commenting on promotional materials or suggesting features you feel are lacking in the coin wallets.
... Seriously, if you have the time to do it once, you have the time to do it right....
That's exactly how we feel. In fact keeping this in legal compliance means we
have to do it right.
How much thought do CannabisCoin traders and holders give to the work and effort made by ∆9 and the team to get this far and to how much more will be required to remain in compliance until national legislation is achieved? I'm going to take a guess and say "No thought at all".
I'm also going to change one of the answers above. Rather than "nothing" I'd like you to give some thought to what "multi-year project" actually means. Then give a little thought to what you'd need to do when say, confronted with an article
like this.
Hint: What are the federal laws applicable to in-wallet advertising by dispensaries? Before adding such features to the wallets these are the sort of things you need to know.
Selectively breeding landraces with the appropriate medicinal constituents and a light environmental footprint is tedious and time consuming but it is perhaps the easier or at least more straightforward part of this project.
If you feel you can do a better job more quickly for medical cannabis patients then by all means have at it. After all,
they are what this is all about.
Meanwhile, we are still on track to begin CannabisCoin promotion in the new year.
Anyone interested in being part of the Alpha and/or Beta trials for new wallet versions can PM or
email me with a note of which operating systems/versions and/or Android phone/tablet you will test and I'll put you on a distribution list.
