What I'm going to discuss here probably has been already discussed but I'm too lazy to review a 55 pages thread.
Mr. Admin of the CAPTcoin, you are giving the opportunity of getting the coins via web by solving a set of 3 CAPT-chas, so everyone can get a probably fair share of the coins, however you, as the admin, could easily auto-assign rewards to yourself, and you will be getting an UNFAIR share of the coins. How can we know that you are not doing it? How the reward system works?
Every time a claim is made, the system adds the reward to your balance, then every 12 hours (9am and 9pm UTC-5), the system automatically generates transactions, which you can see here:
http://get.captcoin.com/tx.htmlThen I manually copy the
sendmany commands and execute them. So you could check that.
The execution is manual to prevent having the coins in the server, but I just copy and paste the commands.
Also, here you can see the top addresses that have claimed the coins:
http://get.captcoin.com/addresses.htmlThis will be useful too:
https://forum.captcoin.com/index.php/topic,6.0.htmlWell, actually there is no way to proof that you aren't getting your coins unfairly, the only thing that I can see there is a bunch of addresses that I don't know, so who knows if there are some addresses managed by you in there (with an auto-assigned reward between the average)? The only way to proof that this is not happening is to convince users to identify their addresses on the transactions, but that will go against the anonymity, which is one of the advantages of using crypto-currencies. It's impossible to convince them all, so it's impossible to proof that.
Maybe is happening or maybe not, but it's obvious that is actually possible to do it without get caught (the anonymity has also its dark side). And that can happen with any Crypto Currency in which the distribution is
centralized like with Latium, in fact I'm pretty sure that the Latium admin is currently
printing money (literally). The difference with CAPTcoin is that unlike Latium, it has a limited "free distribution time"(I quoted this to indicate that after the initial distribution, faucets may appear), and after that time the only way to generate new coins will be by minting.
