with cardano, it's like starting everything from scratch again learning all those new languages such as Opshin, etc. nobody got time for that.
so I suppose if cardano want to have as many dapps as ethereum they should support solidity language.
What about Solana? It started from scratch and now it's one of the most popular coins on the market. There's a lot of buzz surrounding SOL and its tokens (particularly "meme" tokens). If Solana did it, so can Cardano. ADA's problem is not the tech, but rather its slow and steady approach regarding development and innovation. A lack of a strong marketing strategy has left Cardano under the scope of mainstream investors and traders alike. Charles Hoskinson and his team need to hype their project a little bit more, don't you think?
Comparing both ETH and ADA, I think the latter is a far better choice for those looking into decentralization. ETH turned centralized a long time ago. It may have first-mover advantage on the market, but it's not as good as it used to be in the early days. Vitalik and team got greedy, and now they don't care about fixing centralization issues. As long as VCs, and institutional investors are happy, nothing else matters. Hopefully, Cardano stays a community-oriented project (decentralized) forever.
