Any altcoin or token has a chance to replace ETH, when it completely meets the market requirements! Normally an altcoin needs time to grow and perfect about 3 years!
I don't think this is possible. You may have forgotten the smart contract created by Ethereum. It can be used today for a reason. Now the Ethereum is widely used.

Cardano may be a good contender for Eth but its gap as far as success is concerned, i think Eth is irreplaceable by Cardano. With the fast growing users of etehereum's blockchain especially in the ICO industries, it will just fuel ethereum up high creating a bigger gap of market cap and price to against Cardano.

Cardano replacing Eth? I doubt this will happen.I personally like to invest and trade with ethereum since I came into cryptocurrency. All hoping for market to be stabilized and we will all see ethereum.
Maybe in the future, ETH will be surpassed by other coins that have a better platform. But for now, ETH is the most popular altcoin and there are many of projects that are developed base on ETH. So I don't think any altcoin can surpass in the next few years

I do not know about Cardano, I think that the main competitor of ETH is NEO, blockchain and smart contracts of the new generation. Still there is Waves, but he is not very popular, ETH he certainly will not replace. Especially the development team is good.

I agree, Cardano cannot replace ETH because it is more than worth it and more profitable. Like in Bitcoin it cannot replace of any cryptocurrency because it will remain best to all. Even Ethereum is struggling sometimes it cannot beat by Cardano because Ethereum has strong foundation of technology compared to Cardano. Also ETH has good performance to all Altcoin that's why many people choose it.

Indeed Cardano is a good coin and is widely available on several Exchanges in the world.
But unfortunately to defeat Etheruem it must really have a large community and a vision + mission that is so great in the future.
The fact that Cardano replaced ETH is, I think, going to be a long time since ETH has a huge potential in the market right now, as altcoins and ICO are now using ETH blockchain. IMO, if Cardano can replace ETH, then at least the next 5 years, it is not easy to replace ETH.
The news does not seem to have any basis. CEO Cardano, this is one of the developers of ETH. Perhaps he was offended by the ETH team and was angry, wrote about what, he now has better technology. In my opinion, while Cardano has not shown an effective working model, all words remain only words.

currently ethereum's price is falling, but the efforts that Ceo Cardano wants to do will not be possible. I'm not sure they will defeat Etherum !! The etherum ceo also won't let that happen. I don't believe etherum will be defeated by Cardano. ethereum will still be my Favorite Altcoin.
I don't think that cardano will replace ethereum. Although ethereum is currently falling, but I believe that ethereum will recover and rise again. Cardano will always be on the portion and will not replace ethereum. That's just my opinion
I really hope that the cardano will shoot in the near future. And it does not matter whether it replaces the ethereum or not, the main thing is ada has a strong project and a strong team
