Microcephaly by itself is not always dangerous. I have read reports about people affected by microcephaly becoming successful entrepreneurs in their adult lives, with no negative effect on the brain functions. Also, there are hundreds of causes for Microcephaly. Zika is only one of the possible causes. Others include Edward syndrome, Toxoplasmosis.etc.

. Mosquitoes have a very important role in the food chain and also used to be important pollinators. By eradicating those little bastards we would create even more disastrous problems for the local populations what would spiral out of control pretty quickly.

The virus is something everyone who visits that region of the world should be aware of. You should do everything you can to prevent yourself from getting it while visiting. People bringing this virus back to the US is very irresponsible of them, if the virus begins to spread around the country, it could cause a major epidemic. Its like dropping a match in a forest. I feel like I'm watching someone play the game Plague Inc.

Sounds like their plan backfired.

You can never rule out anything. Maybe simply just part of nature. But who is to say it really is. The way this world is and tech have. It is very possible it is man made. We will never know for sure.

You can never rule out anything that Hitler touched. Do you guys realize what all he achieved and what was invented when he was ruler. He made things we never thought possible by American scientists. His scientists were leaders in their fields.

They did play around a lot with bio-weapons and invented many on their own. So it can not be entirely ruled out.

The CDC has rated Zika high and has issued their highest Level of warning for Florida maybe other places as well. Maybe there 3 - 4 Million will turn into 3 - 4 Billion.

Have to keep an eye on this.

Zombie apocalypse is not stupid.

If it damages the genes, it means the disease will go from mother to child. Which means an infected can only give birth to another one.

Who is to say that there will not be problems even later say 5 years or so. They really are not sure yet if there is any impact.
