Of course it's better to be grateful for what we've got, responsible and non-obsessed gamblers always do it that way, just like your experience is exactly the same. Whatever the amount of their winnings, even if it's only 50% of the amount of capital they brought, they will still withdraw it and then withdraw it to enjoy. That is really much better than you continue to look for bigger wins, basically someone's greed will never end and even though you have gotten a big enough win I'm sure in that condition you will again assume and think about continuing to play to get a much bigger win than before. Greed will never end and usually always ends up with something worse.
Have you seen sporty bets analyst make sports predictions? Most of them hardly believe that bet is not something you can control, what will happen is going to happen and should not be count as luck but performance result. I have seen gambler take risk to bet huge some of money and instead of them to cashout 80%-90% of the bets to completion, they will not cashout, not untill they see the final result before they withdraw and many times I have seen such type of bets wasted as loss and some won. I don't know why they have such kind of confidence or they are trying to prove a point where there is none.
I don't know if I should called such actions greed because if it's money, some of them has legitimately made huge money from gambling and are doing fine because if you see the amount they stake in betting, if some gamblers see such amount, they might even quit gambling because it's really big amount to gain more bigger amounts and that's what I think they can afford to lose.
Coming in with the intention to have fun and make withdrawals if we are lucky with getting lucky regardless of the amount is better. I say it's not a real win if you can't enjoy the winnings. Yes it seems that you are too serious and too carried away my friend, it is like that if you are too serious then without realizing it you are very likely to fall into the trap of addiction. Right, so the point is whatever the amount of your winnings you better enjoy it, it's better to prevent than treat because it's just a matter of luck.
Every gambler has their ways of getting satisfaction, I will cashout and withdraw if opportunity arises even if I play for fun or play for money, it's better to be at safe zone than having nothing at all. As you said about luck, we can't deny that because there are some games you play and win some amount you never expected and some comes moderate and some come with lost, we must appreciate in opportunity we have when gambling and try again for better luck if we are yet to meet the target that we want.
