People don't go by facts or experiences of others but they want to experience it themselves in order to learn, and sometimes, they don't learn even from their own experiences because you may see a gambler lose some money one day and you will see them gambling again the next day without any regrets.
If there are people who are not learning from their own mistakes then they deserve the consequences of their mistakes.
Every gambler is wise enough to identify their mistakes. If they don't stop repeating it then it's obvious that they will end up in a crisis.
That is what has been happening till date. Some learn from their mistakes in gambling and fix it while others end up in debt.
Stopping to repeat mistakes in gambling is easier said than done. I guess everyone knows some of these spectacular poker hands at the WSOP. That's a great example because most of the time the winner was someone who made a good number of mistakes. There are some of the wildest hands only because someone made a mistake almost knowingly and everybody else knew it as well. Jamie Gold is one of those guys who played really bad in so many situations and yet being the winner was the result. In the end these games all involve luck and you can play perfect poker, make all the moves that everybody thinks are right and yet the chance to win a huge tournament are so damn little. Imagine you play 10 hands in the showdown with a 90:10 chance. If you were to go for these 10 showdowns, the chances are quite high to lose it.
I think in a casino it is really much less about strategy, but I don't know too much about it. Though when I think about roulette, the best chance I can get is a little below 50% of winning per round. There are lots of videos on youtube with special tactics and how they get debunked because it's just not true unless some illegal stuff is applied. If anyone here knows a strategy with guaranteed profit, feel free to share it
