It might be cool to see that list with the reason for failure next to each one. For example Tradehill was a good company which could not find it's way through the regulation. While Silk Road faild because of it's criminal nature.
That would be difficult to get consensus from everyone on why a company specifically failed. For example, some could argue that empty gox failed because they were inept to prevent a hack which lead to their fractional reserve scheme that eventually blew up (along with the US government freezing $5 mil of their money which prevented recovery).
Im certainly not defending them what so ever (I think Mark is scummy, or at the very least a very poor CEO), but there could be several reasons why a company has failed. I just used them as an example since you mentioned them .
