What is the vertcoin.conf solo miners setup?  Can someone please post?

Just like any other coin's conf you just have to use a different rpcport.

Ok ty - does anyone know the current vertcoin rpcport?  Is it 9332?

There are no fixed rpcports for different coins, it doesn't matter which one you use as long as it's the same port you set your miner to try to connect to.

VERTCOIN INFO--

I pulled some stuff off of CoinWarz.com:

P2P Port   RPC Port   Blocks   Network Hashrate   Vertcoin Difficulty
5889           5888           348,052   6.82 GH/s                   207.5611

The ports changed from the earlier scrypt-N days (9332).  I don't really know if the ports above are for Lyra2RE, or Lyra2v2.

I suggest looking at Vertcoin on the CoinWarz site, and clicking on the Vertcoin icon when you find it in the list.  That will take you to a detailed info page, and you can navigate from there to a profit calculator web-app just for Vertcoin.  Should be what you need.       --scryptr
you give to rpcport to value you want...that's the interest of the conf file..

Latest git show on pool side 8 time slower hash... (verters pool)

I am working on it. Seems to be bether to return 3 or 4 nounces (results) when using a high intensity Since the pool loves to give low difficulty shares.
yep it could help, considering the low diff pools are using...

?
verters pool is oversharing.
Last two hours stat:
3989/5600 MH/s (pool vs nethash)
18/49 block found.
71% of nethash.
only found 37% of total found blocks.
Solo miners must have more luck.

I will gladly try to mine it solo. Will have to wait for the blockchain to download though.
Does anybody have it by any chance?

I have downloaded it from https://bchain.info/VTC/
There is a link in the lower right section...

Ty all for the advice - I think I will just stay on Verters - it seems to be finding blocks fairly frequently.

My cards:
GTX 970 = 10Mh/s, overclocked @1440MHz, TDP limited to 150W
GTX 980 = 10.9Mh/s, overclocked @1420MHz, TDP limited to 150W
In comparison, GTX 980 doesn't score so well  Sad
my 980's do 12MH/s you are doing something wrong

If both a 970 and 980 is limited to 150W it's no wonder they're going to be pretty close in performance.

So I have been mining Vertcoin since around 8:00am this morning on verterspool.  I found (2) blocks and earned about 42 coins.  Would you recommend that I solo mine or stay with the big pools?  What are my chances of finding a block solo?  Do you think it is better to mine with the pool in general?  Just looking for advice.  Tks - pokeytex
depends of your hashrate, but probably not.

About 80mh/s

With current difficulty (189) you should hit a block every 2.7 hours on average or ~8.8 blocks a day. That is if the difficulty wouldn't rise, but it does.

This is exactly what happened to me. Found 2 blocks and earned much less than calculated. I have much lower hashrate than You and I have allready gone solo... No blocks till now Smiley
