Just a fyi guys. More power plugs on the card does not mean the card will use anymore or any less power. That is determined by the core voltage. You want more auxiliary connector as it gives you more methods to supply power to the card. You can always use a four pin molex connector/adapter. I just bought a 970 Asus strix for instance and despite it only.having a eight pin power adapter it uses more power then a different brand 970 that has a eight+six adapter. This means more voltage is being drawn through.the eight pin then should be and as a.result its.triggering over voltage.protection on my psu. I'll have to change it with a dumber psu.later tonight which should be fine.

This happens at stock clocks after moving tdp over 100 which immediately triggers it. I haven't even tried over locking it yet. I am debating on sending them back for a.different model as even if I use a different psu its stressing the connector more.then it should. Having seen melted connectorrs with my 290s while mining scrypt (psus fault) its a good idea to errr on caution. This applies.to.750s as well.

Tldr more power connectors the better.

The card is rated at 145W, the 8 pin can handle 150 plus 75 from the slot. I don't think the problem is the
connectors. I'm also not sure about an over-volt fault. If the card is drawing too much power it would
cause a volatge drop. An over-volt might be the PSU or the mains. If you're confident about the power
send the card back.

sp_, maybe you miss my previous post. ccminer continues to hash even if i lose internet connection to pool resulting in unused power consumption and heat. Can it be avoided?

I have found the bug now

change from &foundnonces2[thr_id][0] to &foundnonces[thr_id][0]

like this:      quark_jh512_cpu_hash_64_final(thr_id, nrm2, pdata[19], d_branch2Nonces[thr_id], d_hash[thr_id], ptarget[7], &foundnonces[thr_id][0]);

Only half of the hashes where messured resulting in a 50% drop...

Quark.
ps. Whithout extranonce hashrate now is going up. Later look on it. Whith extranonce all night hashrate is low.
pps. Stuped westhash. All time on 2 from 4 miners stratum conn is lost... restarting

Thanks for the beers guys. I am working on an improved bitsclice in groestl. Managed to reduce the number of instructions... but
Byteperm is faster than the funnelshift.
Submitted a tiny speedup in most algos.
Hi, on my 4 GTX 750 Ti rig (Ubuntu 64), commit 420febd33 reports a little less: 22860 kH/s on quark, compared to the 23000 kH/s of 1.5.51
That's a very small difference, about 25kH less per 750Ti, but it is measurable.

Yes, but it will show higher rates on the pool. I need to test some more.

Thank you sp
I think once you start your builds on the 980ti the performance will go way up....and so do the donations.  Wink
I think the 980ti card is to expensive for me to buy. Please ask NVIDIA to send me a card for free  Grin Cool
And continue to donate some beers. Smiley
A few bucks is bether than nothing..
How about a donation address for a 980ti for you sp?
Put it on your signature.
You seem to never have experienced programming for free and expecting donations...

When I started last year the gtx 980 was doing less than 6 MHASH @x11 ccminer djm version. Without my code the gtx980 was slower than the AMD 290x. (6.2MHASH).

Now in May 2015 we are mining x11 at 10-11MHASH. quark at 20MHASH etc etc.. I haven't done all the optimalizations myself, but most of them are mine.

So keep sending some beers guys. Without development the private mining will die slowiy and private kernals will take over..

I will vouch for this. This single handedly brought down my AMD mining operation around me and I didn't even know it was happening because the private kernels were being kept on the hush-hush. There wasn't even a opportunity to 'buy' the said miners as they weren't being talked about or prices were being posted anywhere. I should've sold my cards the moment I saw what was happening and went with Nvidia, but missed that window. The shit part wasn't that it was private, it was that you couldn't buy it or even knew it existed.

Crowdsourced developer on staff definitely helps with this. The Maxwell hardware doesn't hurt things either.

This aside, everyone still mining Quark? Still seems the most-profitable, followed by Neoscrypt.

The point is that the altcoin marked generates around 100 Million dollar per year in revenue for the miners, and there are players who are willing to take the risk and invest.. Some of them will get very rich...
So keep sending some beers guys. Without development the private mining will die slowiy and private kernals will take over..

Just sent you one : f848807d9b24ae08b4f568beb102aca00d9c0bc9a897e3c34784da7595d9be2b
I try to give you one day's worth of mining every two weeks, that's about 7% of what I earn.
Keep improving the miner if you want my rig - and your cut - to grow  Tongue

If I ever finish my controller program, it will be automated. But I am particularly lazy these days... So, manual donation it is.
Bought you a beer. .02 BTC donation.
