have you seen the mining on westhash? ...
#crysx

Doing good, but the hashrate is fluctating alot
from
22MHASH to 55.52MHASH. I think the difficulty is too high. You might want to set a fixed difficulty f.ex -p d=0.04 to get a more accurate result.

Thanks for all the hard work, sp_.

Hey, what coin(s) are the buyers of hashpower at west/nice hash and yaamp mining? Specifically, Quark algorithm, as I believe DASH is one of the most popular for X11.

I mean, if they see it as wise to pay to have other people's rigs mine for them, I am interested in what coin(s) they are seeing as worth it.

Anyone? Bueller?

nah. I'll pass. I am on the other side of the globe in a different timezone. a proxy will just slow down the mining and give more rejects.

all good ...

it the donation stratum proxies im talking about ...

setup on aws servers - so they are on the other side of the globe for me anyway Wink ... probably closer to you ...

thought id ask anyway mate ...

have you seen the mining on westhash? ...

seems a great deal more stable than yaamp ...

could you pm me your ip address to allow access to something i want to show you? ...
it 'may' help in a small way ...

Why do you want my ip? I have many. Smiley

if it will help - i can allow your ip only to have full access to the stratum proxy itself ...

so far - only my ip is allowed from the office ( which is why i cant really change much while im on the road or home ) ...

from there - you can see each worker attached - each hashrate - changes settings ( which isnt really necessary unless you need to test ) - etc ...

it is limited to a few features as all the featureset is not implemented completely in this version - but it may help in the diagnosis of the miner ...

so i thought i would offer you the same access as i have for a period of time for testing ...

if it helps - then great - if it doesnt - let me know and ill close the ip and port ... Smiley ...

Though can i safely assume you are using the -g parameter on yours? ... i can only get about 5500KH - whereas you are showing about 6500KH Smiley ...

I used a stable overclock. If your card has a 6pin power connector, you can overclock it stable without any problems for 1MHASH per card extra hash. You can do the oveclocking in the bios.

extract the bios from this card:

reflash to this card:

ok tanx ...

the cards are the oc lp - non powered ...

ill leave them alone i think Wink ...

edit - just had a look at the miner - extranonce2 size=2 errors ... this is definitely from yaamp ...
#crysx

The problem is that yaamp is switching the extranounce too often. Here is an example the extranonce size is changed 8 times in 1 minute.
And when the change is only within 3 seconds the miner will get rejects with invalid extranonce size.

exactly ... i get very similar stats on the worker also ...

i have just edited the last post mate ... changed the link to westhash ...

i need to disappear for about 2 hours - but will be back to see how it goes when i get back ...

hopefully - westhash will be more stable ...

When I removed the extranonce support, yaamp is still forcing the miner to reconnect. this is slow and causes more errors.

When a extranonce is changed, the gpu needs to throw away all the work it has done, and restart. This meens lost hashing power, and lower rates on the pool.

will get testing done later this afternoon and see how it goes with quark ...

My tests didn't go so good. Both yaamp and nicehash seems to disconnect the miner to set a new nonce all the time. If you are on a slow connection you end up with 10% rejects.(mostly job not found)
I would stick with the non -g parameter for now, or solomine. Smiley

With 10% rejects and 8% fee you will earn 18% more just by mining the coins directly.

On the gigabyte oc 750ti(win32) -g 5 -i 21.8 is showing +250-500Khash in the miner, but on the pool -1Mhash or more because of the rejects/fees.

ok - tanx mate ...

via donate.granitecoinx.com:7919 - i manage to get around the 30MH on the pool - but the miner shows around 35.5MH ...

this maybe yaamp ...

when i get back to the office in an hour - ill change the stratum proxy to westhash and see if that makes a difference ...

so your suggestion is to just keep it at the 'standard' settings and leave -g out of it for now ...

well - ill get that sorted when i get back ...

tanx mate ...

edit - just had a look at the miner - extranonce2 size=2 errors ... this is definitely from yaamp ...

will change to westhash as soon as i can ...

edit - changed ... all running via westhash now ... stratum+tcp://donate.granitecoinx.com:7919/ ...

will get testing done later this afternoon and see how it goes with quark ...

testing will be done on westhash - stock clocks - single miner - one on donation address driectly - not through link ( as the link forces extranonce subscription which is what it should be - otherwise we get a higher rejection share rate ) and one on the donation link stratum+tcp://donate.granitecoinx.com:7919/ ...

can setup up two machines that are the same build - and run one with -g -i parameters while the other runs just the -i parameter ...

what are the best parameters for either? ...

i need half a day before we can start compile / testing ...

can we clone git and build it from git sp? ...

edit - pushed one worker through the donation link with standard -r -R settings ( no -i ) because it was just easy and took 30 seconds to do Wink ...

ill have the other worker setup later today with the -g settings and see how they compare ...

let me know if there is any other parameters that need to be set on the -g worker ...

btw - this is on yaamp ...

tanx ...

It looks like last commit has 10% rejects "job not found" even running without -g with extranonce subscribe enabled. nicehash ...

I compiled commit d064c7 (on linux) and I see no performance difference on Quark compared to yesterday's version (didn't write down the commit, sorry), without specifying -g 5 -i 22. 11380kH/s average for my 2 750Ti.
When I specify -g 5 -22, I see no performance improvement, but I get about 10-15% reject: Job not found errors on Nicehash.

@sp_

Just finally ran the re-compiled version for lyra2 and the rejected rate looks to be a lot better.

Turning off extranonce is not a good fix to the problem. Connection is reset all the time and we get a higher reject rate. I need to insert code that reset's the gpu's when a extranode request is changed. The current gpu code needs all the threads to use the same extranodesize.

For the 750 1mb -g 5 -22 will not work as it needs 1,8 GIG of memory.

For me no luck with -g again. Running without parameters gives significantly better results. But miner shows realistic rate with -g now, it's good.

New world record for quark on the 750ti Smiley

GPU #0: GeForce GTX 750 Ti, 9895
GPU #0: GeForce GTX 750 Ti, 8825
GPU #1: GeForce GTX 750 Ti, 6487
-g 5 -i 22 standard clocks.
too good to be true Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Build and try. Seems to be around +0.5MHASH pr 750ti average on the pool.

Nicehash is currently hashing 16GHASH of quark. At one point the quark hashrate was higher than x11.

COMMIT 788--

I cloned git and built 788 10 minutes ago.  Mining Quark with "-g 5 -i 22", the hash rates appear realistic, ranging from 5.7Mh/s to 6.6Mh/s per card, with variation.  30 mining threads are initiated at launch!  Build 782 produced a steady 6.3Mh/s to 6.4Mh/s per card, single threaded.  However my rig is getting about 37.3Mh/s with this configuration, instead of 38.4Mh/s with build 782, single-threaded.  Acceptance rate is about 90% for the 6x750ti FTW rig running build 788.

Mining single-threaded with build 788 brought the rig back to about 38.2Mh/s, but reaching full speed seems to take more time, as observed with build 782.  Acceptance at the pool is about 95%.

If the miner is started with the "-g" switch, extranonce subscription is turned off.  This is verified at the pool.       --scryptr
