There will be no hf for Eth during a month

No hardfork in 2018 it seems. None of the miner-devs is supporting the fork. I vote for POW change to progpow (bitcoin interest) or another algo..

After the fork, there are no asics and fpga's.
In the days after the monero v7 fork the profit was 5-10x before the fork and NVIDIA hardware was profitable. So you might get a few weeks of good profit.

btw:

Next week Ethereum will reduce the pow per block from 3 ETH to 2 ETH. This might decrease the profit on the other algos.

They just decided they won't hf in next week or anyother week of 2018.

Last time on XMR gpus were almost kicked out by asics, now there won't be a 70% hashrate drop.

What's the point? AMD does 1kh/s with 100W, even better on Vega.

I have made a fast cryptonight v8 miner. 0.1 btc. it also a includes v7(Monero,Graft,Stellite) miner 1.1KHASH on the 1080ti. The speed of the v8 is not yet completed but looks to be 1KHASH+ (1080ti). 1060/P106 500-600h/s,1070 700-800h/s

Monero will fork in 4 days.

Any Progress on the x22i algo ? We need faster miner programs Smiley

I'm working on a faster keccak miner. Have managed 1700MHASH on the 1080ti. Should be able to do 2500 on the 2080ti. (FPGA speeds)

A single FPGA card does 17 Gh/s.
Same power consumption.

what about the cost? fpga is 4x the cost of a 2080 ti if i'm not mistaken, but consumption is equal

costs 4x and is more than 4x faster, same power usage.

yes but with no possibility to mine zero day coin because the reprogramming thign is slower than adding a new algo on ccminer i believe

indeed.
but zero-day mining is something that will probably be less and less possible in the future, as people realise that taking bitcoin and just changing the pow algo (by shuffling the x17 chain), adds no value.

In the hunt for blue/red october we have all your names and adresses. Just exploit my opensource work and add the latency timings. fucking noobs...

It seems that some heavy drugs you are using are stopping you from releasing the "fastest x16r/x17 miner in the world .... with stolen kernels".  Grin
Almost a month since the claim have passed.

X22I: x17 + ghost and a few other algos...In the opensource around 50% of the time is used in the swiftx algo.
4 times more memory usage. +20% boost is easy. Just copy paste the x17 from my opensource, and add the other kernels.

PSA: FPGAs and ASIC are NOT natural progression. Software evolves, development evolves - If you have a coin that has any other algo then sha-256, YOU should be fighting to keep your community EVEN if it just means forking to something like ProgPOW. At the most basic level other people have made solutions, even if your development team doesn't want to take the time. And if you think mining is all created equal? No, no it's not. ASIC and FPGAs are ruled by the elite few, either those with a lot of money or those with access to those who make custom pieces of firmware to run on those FPGAs. It's not the same as 'plug it in and work' dunder heads that come with GPUs.

A lot of miners are idiots, it's true, but when they mine your coin they talk about it, they gloat about it, they give eachothers handies (even though that means more people will talk about it and ruin their profitability), they drink the koolaid, in general you have a active community. Even if that's not the community YOU want and they may not have enough money to raise the price of your coin, they will talk about your coin in some way, shape, or form. And that's a start. Ethereum would be no where close to what it is today if there wasn't a firm mining community behind it, especially considering the specialty of the Dagger algo.

Can Ethereum fly on it's own now into the PoS sunset? Sure. However, they will lose that epic building block of a community that built up around it. When we live in world where people still have no idea what to do with crypto, losing out on people that want to work with it is a major pitfall. YOU as a developer are responsible for your coins, YOU should be watching out for your community, YOU should try to keep it healthy. ASICs and FPGA are about as healthy as botnets and AWS are on CPU coins... Which is to say, there is one guy that comes by your chat/thread on occasion to make sure someone hasn't released a miner that's remotely competitive with his hardware, then goes back to counting his money.

Protect what you believe in.

A single FPGA card does 17 Gh/s.
Same power consumption.

Still above $1 profit / day with 2.5GHASH

LOOK UP SQRL MINER--

There is a new miner that utilizes an ACORN FPGA like a co-processor.  The ACORN is an M.2 PCIe device designed to assist the GPU in mining.  Squirrels Research Labs is about to launch this FPGA device along with with a proprietary, free, no-fee miner, "SQRL Miner", and it boosts GPU performance in a number of algorithms.

CBuchner was toying with an Intel co-processor board just prior to retiring from crypto.       --scryptr

Yes I remember CBuchner talking about it scryptr.  Smiley I wonder what he made of it?
Could send the hash to ck's pool too to hit a block.  Wink

Where is the info on the bounty?

Bounty Thread: Coming Soon

Not yet i guess. Zjazz made the first miner 50% faster.

There is a bounty for the fastest OpenCl miner here. And there will be a fastest CUDA miner bounty too for open source.
Since you chose to be open source show everyone who is the fastest Smiley
