Spreadminer #11 is complete and in testing.

- Fixed exit up on crash. (No more craszy hashrates)
- Faster default launch configs with a nice boost on gtx 750, 950, gtx 980ti, gtx 1080ti, gtx titanx
- Improved OC capability (seems to like -500 on the memory and boosted core clock)
- optimized at least +2% on all cards.

Does it mean we will receive it (who bought)?

how many rigs mate? ...

ie - how many gigabyte aorus 1080ti ( or Xtreme ) do you have to get these figures? ...

Only 6 rigs so 24 x 1080 Ti (half of them Xtreme) running at 150 watts each as I'm heavily power starved for now. 4080 Mh/s total. Do note that even without a power limit this algo doesn't use more than 190 watts on these cards.

100% CPU usage.

Adding some explanation to difficulty and how it works, let's say the difficulty is 1000. Then it means 2^32 x 1000 or 4294967296000 hashes are required to find a block on average.

So if someone's doing 1000 Mh/s, that's 1000x1000x1000 hashes per seconds.

4294967296000 hashes divided by 1000000000 hashes/s equals 4294 seconds.

So with 1000 Mh/s and 1000 difficulty a miner should find a block every 4294 seconds, or 71.5 minutes on average.

But for this coin with skminer this isn't accurate. Maybe because of the CPU usage, maybe because of something else in skminer, maybe because of the wallet, I don't know.

Variance (or luck) of course can heavily skew the results. But I do get 75% fewer blocks consistently.

The same question here. Your cpu is not so fast with 2 cores, can you tell us the load?

I've mined 50 Nexus blocks in the last couple of days and never once had a single orphan. But I see a lot of people having them. I also never had the miner crash on any of the rigs.

Not a massive sample size, but from my experience both majoh's and sp_'s miner only finds about 1/4 - 1/5 of what the diffculty and miner's hashrate would dictate. That could be an issue with the wallet, I'm not sure but the fudge factor is huge with this one.

As I've said before. Nexus has POS blocks, prime blocks and SK1024 blocks. My mod can only mine the SK1024 blocks. The weight of the SK1024 blocks is not 1/3rd of the found blocks, it's less.

Yes but the difficulty is what causing the difference.

Unless that's not the real SK1024 difficulty (seems to be real because the miner also uses this), that number is all that matters regarding how long it takes to find blocks with a given hashrate. It's just simple math.

50 blocks is around $640 in two days. Nice.

What cpu do you have in your rigs. Os / memory ? And cards?

Win7 x64, Pentium G3420, 8-16GB RAM (8GB pagefile) 4x AORUS 1080 Ti per rig.

In 67.1 hours I mined 54 blocks. Taking the average difficulty, I mined exactly 25% of what I should have based on the difficulty. Same difficulty calculations that work accurately for every other coin, including multi-algo coins.

I am working on a version #7. Free update

I have 40 GB virtual memory. It crashes with both included test bats, maximum time I got it working with 6 cards was 10 minutes. I tried intensity 30 but it doesn't help, just lowers hashrate. Also tried the #6 version you sent (it was faster at 900 total)

I sendt #5. Can you  try it please.

the only way to mine nexus is with the skminer. All other public miners have the same "bug". I am working on a bether fix in #7.

How big is your psu, and wich tdp settings are you running at with 6 cards?
Doesn't work, crashes too after a while. I'm using G2 1300 or double G2 750 with powered USB risers. The TDP I set depends on the algo but for this miner I tried everything on stock to try and get it working. I tried the "official" mumus-mod3 miner and it works without crashing but only at 500 Mh (still uses 100 % CPU though).

And yeah, you could of mentioned that this miner actually doesn't even work correctly without enough cores for all the GPUs if that's true.

SK1024 is only 1/7 of the found blocks. (There are 1 CPU block, 1 GPU (SK1024) and 5 PoS blocks)
As I understand, we should multiply current difficulty by 7 for profit calculations.

Then you leave the difficulty as it is and divide by the profit calculator result by 7.

@shubaduba thank you, restarting the miner shows new blocks being found on the network (not by me).

Wait, so the hash rate being shown is not actual what is being sent?  We need an 8+ core CPU to mine with 8 GPUs?  Man, I had no idea.. I wish he would have said something about this before.  Is there no way to check the actual hashrate that is valid?

Wonder if it would be worth it to upgrade from an i3 cpu to an i7 to mine nexus?..  for now I guess I have to abandon it and consider the time I spent and the .05 btc a lost cause Sad

Glad that is worked for you.
I'm not sure it worths to upgrade CPU only to mine Nexus.
First, there is a possibility than some serious rework will be done to miner and that CPU issue will be fixed.
Second, Nexus can drop in value.

But in general, upgrading to i7 or to Rizen CPU could be good investment in future, when new algos or miners will be better optimized for top GPUs like 1080ti and CPU usage can rise significally.

SP forgot to say, that Nexus miner uses full CPU thread per GPU. Miner shows good hashrates, but it is not valid.
If there was Nexus pool, then you would see your actual accepted hashrates.

Actually, with 4 cores CPU like i5 you can mine with 3 GPU maximum. Each miner thread will take 25% of CPU (100% of each core), plus 10-15% more. So with 3 threads it will be 25+25+25+15=90% CPU load. It's not good idea to launch something like teamviewer, Nexus wallet or other miners since system will freeze and lock up.

If you have more than 3 GPUs and willing to use others to mine something else, then you can use only 2 GPUs to mine Nexus, because 2 miner threads use 25+25+15% GPU.
I've tried to mine with 8 GPU's (1200 Mh/s total speed) with manual CPU affinity settings set to use only 3 of 4 cores, but miner did not find any blocks after 24h running.
I have only 2 GPUs mining Nexus with 370Mh/s and found 4 blocks after 24h run, using 2 CPU cores with 65% CPU load.
Other 6 GPUs are mining other coins without issues.

That means that 0.05BTC donation for private Nexus miner with CPU issues same as in opensource miner will make profit only after couple of weeks (if diff/price will not change) unless you have something like Core i7/i9/Ryzen CPU with many cores, because mining with more than 1 GPU per CPU thread will not find any block.

I started mining Nexus today with SP's private miner.  Been going for almost 8 hours with 6 1080ti's and 7 1070's.  I haven't found any blocks yet.  Here is a screenshot from my 6x1080ti rig:  http://prntscr.com/ftdndy.  The "Diff" never changes.. I wonder if I'm doing it correctly?  Anyone else familiar with mining nexus, does your miner screen look similar to that?

Compare your last found block with http://nexusoft.io/platform/
I had same issue and needed to restart wallet after finding orphan block.

If anyone wants to purchase the SP-MOD spreadcoin private miner at a discount price I'm selling it for half price 0.025 BTC

my btc address: 3Dt62uBuNCDxHcA8cFxaaJHZjtAufoq7EP

Send me a PM with your email and I will send it out to you.

Anyone that buys this is risking a virus and also guaranteeing that SP will no longer produce software for us to mine with!

MAJOR DICK MOVE!

Isn't this what sp is doing though.

He already posted in Epsy's thread to release an algo that is being worked on so he can take it and "improve" it so he can sell it.

Funny how he has not added any algo's to his version but only after someone else releases theirs.

Mining with noise and without noise is all possibl
24h spreadcoin report:
3 blocks, eqv 12.4 coin = 14.8$ current price

24h more:
3 blocks, zotac gtx 1070 x8 now, avg 8.5 mhs per card. Huh.
12.38 spr * 0.98$ = 12.13$

Gonna test miner 1 day more and forget it as a terrible dream.

Most shit coins are like, that, unstable network with ULTRA crap wallet... they have few or a lot orphans, also luck can be a bitch...... but be sure lots of crap alts are producing a lot less then what a math/calculator says!
+ if few-dozen ppl buy SP miner on weak coins diff with just sky rocket, as most if his optimization are on almost dead coins so network is weak

@ eriksin3
I would give you 5% from original price, sorry but more interested in a test then in a profit where is none, also no one will sand first to someone with new account, PM me if interested  Grin
Also you can not ask 50% as sp_ offer "support" and new version "free"   Cool

0.025 x 100 is 2.5 btc... why mining... its a better biz to "resell" it... as you point out correctly, too many unknown. lol
