Is there a particular reason Decred is tanking? I assume someone else has a better private kernel out there, it's no longer on par with Ethereum. Maybe even perhaps 40%~ better then SPs release. Could also be getting raped by FPGAs already.

if you look close they are following the same cycle of pump and dump, between 0.004 and 0.006, i would buy massively at 0.004, it will probably return once again at 0.006, but don't forget that pos miners are dumping for free

Hi!
Question!
what intensity (other than default) is recommended for sp_'s ccminer on DECRED?

because with standard diff (which i don't know what it is) my hashrate swings up and down all the time in zpool.ca, but usually the average is 10% lower than it should be.

thanks.
indkt

depends on the card mate ...

but i found that 29.6 seems to work REALLY well on most of the cards of thefarm ( gigabyte 750ti oc lp and gigabyte 980ti g1 ) ...

though i have not tested any of the later decred versions since #5 - as im still settling in after my move ...

Thanks chrysophylax

I don't think -i is the only thing you're looking for.

If you have infrequent share submissions which causes the to pool report a widely fluctuating hashrate you can smooth
it out by lowering the diff encoded in the password argument on yaamp clones (ie "-p d=0.5"). This will also vary
by card with bigger cards being able to handle a higher diff. Too low causes excessive network traffic and rejects.
It's easier to verify hashrate when it's more stable.

Edit: more specifically diff varies by rig hashrate and bigger rigs can handle higher diff.

-i, or intensity is a way to max resource usage on cards and, as crysx said, varies by card. SP has tuned the defaults
for most maxwell cards pretty well but you can play with it to see if you can squeeze out a bit more hash. If it's
set too high ccminer will crash. Just try with a lower value.

what intensity (other than default) is recommended for sp_'s ccminer on DECRED?

That's 20 btc trade volume vs 10000 btc trade volume and you guys think the exchange rate has anything to do with mining?  Grin

Seems to be a common falacy. There's lots of FUD about the BTC block halving in a couple of months driving the
price down.

The Chinese can program too. Most hash comes from them. Undecided

Working on decred #8.

gtx 750ti +10MHASH (+1.8%)
gtx 980ti +55MHASH
gtx970 + 30MHASH

hi sp ...

im back online ( though still not with my original profile ) and will be setting the test machine up very soon ... ie - 1 x gigabyte 980ti g1 + 1 x gigabyte 750ti oc lp ...

thefarm will not go back online yet - but i am looking at a very nice candidate to house thefarm and thegrid ... so im hoping within the next month - we should have thefarm back online ... im also working on a better cooling system for the machines - which hopefully will be successful - and as such - be beneficial for the operation of the systems ...

if decred #8 is working well - i would definitely be interested ...

tanx ...

is this with faster vcash and can mine decred?
Not faster. For a faster Vcash kernal. donate 0.2BTc. (15% faster than  the Provos Alexis kernal) And get decred #7 included. (25-30% faster than 1.7.5)
i can get 3000 mega on xvc with 1.7.4(1450 core) is your version faster?

I get

3150 on 1450
3300 on 1466

with decred private #4

what card? i get 3k mega on a 970 mining XVC not decred

Gigabyte g1 gaming coreclock 1366. No trottling

Hi sp_
testing 1.5.79, seems a liiiiiitle bit slower in quark on the GTX970, results:

Mining QUARK

(power measured at the wall with an professional TrueRMS clamp meter)
started the miner and wait 10 minutes to take the readings:
stock speeds, cards are ALL gigabyte.

1.5.78 on 6x750Ti = 35320 Kh @ 353W (100Kh/W efficiency) Power target: 34W on all cards
1.5.79 on 6x750Ti = 35330 Kh @ 355W (99.6Kh/W efficiency) Power target: 34W on all cards

1.5.78 on 2xGTX970 = 32300 Kh @ 310W (104.1Kh/W efficiency) Power target: 140W on all cards
1.5.79 on 2xGTX970 = 32150 Kh @ 310W (103.7Kh/W efficiency) Power target: 140W on all cards

so it seems that in quark there is no difference.

Lubuntu 14.04 x64, 8GB RAM, OS on flash drive. (no hard drive)

SP_MOD doesn't have it.
TPruvot 1.7.5 has it but I haven't tried it.
I know it works in my cpuminer-opt. Wink

I'd be careful downloading from CMB, best to get from from dev's DL links.
