Hi,
I am a little miner (since only 4 month) with only 1 GTX 750 Ti, i win about 0.1BTC => 0€ with french energy price , Currenlty optimize algo is like a game for me.

Welcome newbie.
I want you to work on the quark algo. My private kernal is doing 8.2MHASH on the 750ti on the factory clocks.

Hi,

I am a little miner (since only 4 month) with only 1 GTX 750 Ti, i win about 0.1BTC => 0€ with french energy price , Currenlty optimize algo is like a game for me.

I follow this post to speak about evolution / optimization / news but since week this post speak to many of donate BTC(too many BTC SP  Roll Eyes.
I understand why dev ask donation, in my case only one card to test, i must chose : "win something ...  " or "past time may be for nothing").
To continue every body must win else "game over".

Now, in my game i found some optimization for GTX 750 (no other card available) the main result :

Configuration
MSI GEFORCE 750 TI clock Freq 1403/2920 Temp  < 45°C
-a lyra2v2 -o stratum+tcp://lyra2rev2.eu.nicehash.com:3347 -u xxx -p x -s 60 --cpu-priority 5 -r 5
ccminer1.74.exe           => 10 min => 96 ack / speed = 5025
ccminer1.78.exe           => 10 min => 68 ack / speed = 5009
ccminer1.78My.exe       => 10 min => 98 ack / speed = 5170

-a x11 -o stratum+tcp://x11.eu.nicehash.com:3336 -u xxx -p x -s 60 --cpu-priority 5 -r 5
ccminer1.74.exe           => 10 min => 26 ack / speed = 3357
ccminer1.78.exe           => 10 min => 20 ack / speed = 3374
ccminer1.78My.exe       => 10 min => 32 ack / speed = 3435

few progress on quark / X13 / qubit, i have also done +50K on 1.78 neoscrypt (need again time to restaure perf).

I can share my work now, contact me.

if you want donate for my contribution (and continue to play) give me "hash time" on nicehash or directly to 1KBoMS5muurXtqymNKSFRyr3snYBfD9vpU

PS : I 'm french sorry, if is difficult to follow me.

Regards.

Djm34 is always complaining when somebody else is optimizing his opensource code. Me and Pallas optimized the neoscrypt kernal 20% faster, but it slower than the djm34 private kernal. I look forward to see the new code.

f he used a all-or-nothing funding service like Kickstarter, but for bitcoin or a escrow service so we get money back if he doesn't release it I would totally help chip in. I haven't found anything like that though.

You should look into Burst.

I used to mine burst. Unless it's changed a lot in 9~ months, the smart contracts were a huge pain in the ass to use. Plus there is the whole exchanging to Burst for the service.

looks like you don't read what I post... tpsp is a join Tanguy Pruvot/ SP release.
Considering you stole the whole Tanguy Pruvot release last year, and you use most of the new the algos I wrote,
considering the only thing you did in neoscrypt was to unroll a loop by hand...  Grin
If you call that stealing, I am not sure how either epsylon3 or myself should consider you  Grin

Bitching about something you made open source and people use it is so stupid. It's like you don't understand what open source is or what you do in the first place.

You should just add in the comment that the checkin was done by me. Tanguy Pruvot and Klaust always does this, but you don't.
tpsp is really not your release (but rather epsylon3), and it is probably already in the comment when I committed it.

I made it 7% faster. That is the only thing that matters. I added another 3% in other checkins, and then Pallas added another 10%.
The SP-MOD fork is at least 20% faster than your first attempt.

As far as I understand (please correct me, djm34, if I'm wrong), the 50% gain is based on the latest opensource kernel by djm34, NOT the one on the sp_ fork, which includes about 10% improvement by sp_ and another 10% by myself.
So the gain at the end should be about 30%.

Looks like he has stolen some code from my fork. Smiley

1-may-2015 (Djm34 release his optimized opensource neoscryopt miner)

here is my checkin 3-may-2015 (neoscrypt 7% faster):

https://github.com/sp-hash/ccminer/commit/48072790339fc021f096e20765ed8cd03701c155

(release 49)

Here is his checkin 17-may-2015 (without crediting me):

https://github.com/djm34/ccminer-tpsp/commit/817bcae908684edfb3e4639b0af65968e87f244f

So some of my 10% faster optimalizations has already been included.
looks like you don't read what I post... tpsp is a join Tanguy Pruvot/ SP release where I tried to use some of your algos (agree) with latest SP development at that point, but that was to make the stealing of my algos easier for you... (but actually you failed for neoscrypt and lyra since you forgot to implement the wallet mining part Grin)

hey sp ! can you make your private cryptonight optimizations also on this cryptonight-light algo miner ?
https://github.com/moneromooo/ccminer-cryptonight
Are you paying 0.1BTC? Please donate to my adress below and I will see what I can do.
man Cheesy im just askin that can you do or not
you know code is open and very similiar to cryptonight algo.

I can make it 10% faster. It is easy. I just need some motivation. 0.1BTC will do

As far as windows 10........ I will never..never....never..install it on any of my computers...NEVER!

I'm with you there. I'm win 7 all the way and if that gets utterly obsolete, I'll join team linux instead.

Are you talking about the 6 980ti's on one rig?

yup ...

so far only 5 x gigabyte 980ti g1 / extreme will work at any one time - and the 6th kills the drivers for some reason ...

the system is 4 x gigabyte 980ti g1 + 2 x gigabyte 980ti extreme ...

it doesnt matter which pcie you remove from the collection - it will only work with 5 cards - and the as soon as the 6th card goes in the driver refuses to load ...

#crysx

Perhaps your mainboard or PSU(s) is not able to supply enough power to the cards?
Check your power draw when 5 of the cards are mining.

@crysx

I have a vague memory  of a similar issue being discussed a while back in this thread, specifically the part about
adding a 6th card. I also recall some mention of pagefile/swap space. Might be worth a look.

It spells "devs" D E V S
while tards is rather spelled "bensam123"  which can also be spelled "troll"

but thanks anyway  Grin

ps: and you wonder why we don't want to sell to you Grin

Beautiful come back, totally addressed the argument and the situation and made a witty retort... /golfclap

You don't sell to anyone! You've already mentioned that. And by 'we' you mean you and Wolf0. You don't even sell anything, so that doesn't even matter. Wolf0 basically just sells AMD stuff and doesn't market Nvidia kernels (at least from what I've seen).

That's kinda the problem... Lack of kernels to buy. A open market would help with that.

An open market wouldn't help. Same issues as there are now.

DJM34 is releasing the sourcecode of the optimized neoscrypt kernal for a small donation. Please support him. here is the thread:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annpledge-for-the-release-of-100-faster-cuda-75-nvidia-miner-for-neoscrypt-1317772

So is there a escrow or some sort of service that will hang onto the BTC until the goal is met and return it if it isn't? I'd definitely donate .1 if this is like Kickstarter, but if it's not and we just get screwed at the end of the donation goal if it's not met, I'm not too keen on that.

That aside, this probably means Nicehash was unwilling to pay him the full amount for a Neoscrypt miner because they didn't consider it worth it and he's attempting to make more then Nicehash is willing to pay for his optimizations. Food for thought as far as greed goes or am I supposed to worship him for even offering any such 'deal'?

Haha, got to admit. I think you're dead-on with that last part there :p

I'm actually guessing that he has a set amount that Nicehash is already willing to pay him and he will release the code no matter what, but this is an attempt to get even more money out of things and Nicehash has agreed to give him a time period to raise money as well, as he doesn't mention anywhere how much Nicehash is willing to pay him and how much we need to 'fill in' for Nicehash.

If he used a all-or-nothing funding service like Kickstarter, but for bitcoin or a escrow service so we get money back if he doesn't release it I would totally help chip in. I haven't found anything like that though.

As far as a open market goes. I think it would. There isn't a marketplace to sell kernels and the devs always appear to think they'll get ripped off in someway, none of them seem to be interested in actually making a place to sell their stuff too (like a thread). A open market would also attract competition if they see how much people are selling things for.

Although I don't have the resources of Nicehash, someone would have to commission a 'lockbox' miner system, where kernels could be safely inserted into it and are much less likely to be reverse engineered or the devs will bitch.
