The price is decided by the free market. We have much cheaper hashing power and lower maintenance costs + silver. However no proper liquidity yet.

Can anyone enlighten me as to why GHs are trading around .0036? I am currently valuing them at around .0005. Why the huge disparity? Is there some value there I'm missing in my analysis? Even if you trade in for the hardware and cut your maintenance cost to $0.05/KWh (and assuming 1W/GHs), that value only goes up to about .0018. So best case, I'm seeing shares overvalued by a factor of two.
I'm using 12.7% as the difficulty increase per period, which is the average of the last 6 increases, plus the expected ~20% increase on 8/19.
What am I missing? Does someone have an analysis of their own they'd like to share?

The maintenance is too high, 0.18 US$ for 1 Ghs per month. I don't know if 1Ghs can make 0.18 US$ per month.

auto-payout is still not working. My BTC balance is twice my payout threshold now and still no payout. Can you please provide an update on when this will be fixed??
I was going to enter another support ticket for this issue but your support also does not work. lt launches and then redirects to your sign-in page but never gets past that - you can enter your login credentials over and over again but it never lets you in - it just keeps prompting you to login again even though I receive emails from you telling me I had a "successful authorization" each time. Can you please fix your support page. I have also posted this on your GHASH.IO thread yesterday.

Hi there, we have seen the issue you raised on GHash page. It seems the access issue is specific to your situation.To identify your account name and email for security please can you email the access problem to [email protected] then we can identify what the fix may be. Auto payout issue is currently under investigation.
Thanks for the reply. My auto-payout did finally work today, although it was more than twice the payout threshold I have set.

I was trying to value a 1 GHs share at CEX.IO, and I came up with about 0.0008. They are currently trading at .0032, which seems incredibly overvalued. Too bad you can't short these, as they are destined to go to 0 sooner or later.
My methodology:
Maintenance cost: $0.18 per month, which is the equivalent of 1W/GH@$0.25/KWh. (e.g. .001Kw*24h/d*30d/m*$0.25=$0.18/m)
At Genesis block, plug in 1000 GHs, 1000W, electricity $0.25, all other costs 0, 35% month-over-month difficulty increase (1 GH does not give enough significant figures). To make it a little more accurate, you could price in transaction costs...which would slightly lower my valuation.
Monthly profit goes to 0 about December (e.g. 1 GHs will produce less than $0.18 worth of BTC in a month).
Cumulative profit is $492 at that time, which works out to 0.83 BTC/TH, or .00083 BTC/GH.
Why would anyone pay $.0032?
This also implies that CEX.IO will shut down operations by the end of the year, unless they can continue to lower maintenance costs. Even at $0.09 per month, that only gives them until about February until the market collapses.

Today Aug 4th GHash.IO celebrates the date of it's first ever mined block (4th Aug 2013).
Since then we have hit many milestones. As of now close to 414,000 BTC has been mined on our pool.

just check out huntercoin, is it like a video game we can play and win hunterscoins?, i see snes like graphics, which is nostolgic ,is it even fun. ill vote yes , i like this coin video game concept.
Thank you first off for the vote. It is like a capture the flag World inside the wallet. Yes, you can play this game and earn HUC for very little electricity (bot or manually play.)
The only thing it is bloated and takes a while to Sync, but even DOTA took 30mins per game to start up! This will get fixed I believe. (I'm not part of the dev or anything.)
I like the decentralized game concept as well and it will be interesting to see where it goes. Dual SHA-256 and SCRYPT is kind of cool as well.
The lead developer (Snailbrain) is from the UK too. So hopefully...
