Deals and Promo code for Ledger wallets

Instead of going for the cheapest nano ledger you should always focus on quality and the best way to do is to order Ledger wallets from their official sites. only this way you will be  sure that you get the most secure wallet. These days many scam wallets are in the market which are a copy of Ledger wallet and they sell in cheap to get hold of your private key as virus is already inserted in them.

Try to buy from Poland - for example cost of the Ledger Nano S there is £70 - shipping to UK from Poland via DPD or GLS standart is £16 =   £86
lowest price on ebay.co.uk I found was £96 including delivery from locals. Check Ledger retailers

Dude don't dig the old thread which is been already answered. I have informed that these kind of information many times in multiple threads which can be spread in many sections. Next time keep on mind if the answer already got by the op, you should not reply again and again.

Another suggestion I could give is that find some service where you can look for travellers going to your country who will be coming from the country you want to purchase the product from. They can buy it and bring the product to you and you just pay them the amount plus tips. I forgot what the name of the service is, but if I do find it I'll keep you posted. Since you just give tips, probably you won't spend too much.

The shipping could be high due to import tariffs being passed on to consumers.

(I don't know if this is true btw.)

I heard it from a brazilian who said brazil's import tariffs made it impossible to order things online, without paying a ridiculous sum of money.

If its true, buying a ledger nano s, could be a question of how to best avoid those import tariffs.

It's not high because of that, they are offering only USP Express which have a high price by nature and that's the case for all countries. Unlike other countries, I don't have the ordinary shipping option on the website and that's the issue I'm facing right now.

A quick google search found some info(bolded parts):

Import duty & taxes when importing into Algeria

Import duty and taxes are due when importing goods into Algeria by a private individual or a commercial entity. These are calculated on the CIF value, i.e. the sum of the value of the imported goods and the cost of shipping and insurance. In addition to duty, imports are subject to Sales Tax, and various product-specific taxes.
NB: Algeria is not a member of the WTO. Imports from non-WTO members into WTO Member States may be subject to higher duty rates than the MFN duty rates. While DutyCalculator does provide import duty and tax information for imports into Algeria, it does not cover information for imports from non-WTO members.

Duty Rates
Customs duty is levied at rates between 0% and 30%, with most products subject to the highest rate of 30%.

Sales Tax
Imports into Algeria are subject to a standard VAT rate of 17%, levied on the sum of the CIF value, duty, and other applicable taxes. Some goods are exempt from VAT.'

Minimum thresholds
Personal imports which do not exceed 50,000 DA in FOB value, i.e. product value excluding shipping and insurance cost, are free from duty and taxes.
Commercial imports pay all duty and taxes regardless of their value.
Other taxes and customs fees
Various products are subject to additional taxes at specific rates, i.e. based on units of measure. They include the following:
Additional Tobacco Tax
Alcohol Tax
Cereals Pulses Tax
Duty on Broadcasting Equipment
Duty on Battery
Fuel Tax
Internal Consumption Tax
Meat Health Tax
Oil Lubricant Tax
Plastic Bag Tax
Tax on Petroleum Products
Tyre Tax

https://www.dutycalculator.com/country-guides/Import-duty-taxes-when-importing-into-Algeria/

I don't know a lot about algerian imports.

The 30% tax on customs duty and 17% compounding VAT tax could be a big part of why shipping is expensive there.

Thank you for info!

My friend could bring me a Ledger Nano S when we meet next time.

But he also could bring you a Ledger Nano S...

...If you are willing to travel here or if it is not too expensive for Us to travel there Smiley

I appreciate that you are willing to bring me one, I really do. I'm afraid that I can't travel there though as I will need a Visa and It's not that easy to get and the process takes time. I gave up for the moment to buy online, hopefully It will be available in my country soon (or one day).

I don't understand If you want to do a transaction with me or your friend, little bit confused. If you have a friend in France however then this shouldn't be an issue as Ledger are based in France and they have some resellers there, addresses:

I've seen them up for auction on eBay before and used ones usually go relatively cheap. Right now there aren't any good deals though, just buy it nows only and they're at least $80. Keep your eye on eBay though, save a search and set up alerts when something new shows up. I'd suggest searching for your specific price range then if something shows up you'll get an email and you can jump on the deal asap.

I do not know if OP can pull this card, but I have a friend in France, EU. He should be able to get a Ledger Nano S easier, shouldn't he? He will visit me soon. Now, do you know any good offers to order Ledger Nano S in or to France? @OP, not to rip off your discussion. If you are not too far from me and my friend really can bring me Ledger Nano S, why wouldn't we meet for a good deal? I mean, personally.

Maybe what you can do is find a freight forwarder that is based off france or londo (UK). You might get better deals there as they could ship it directly to you when they do get the goods on their warehouses. Usually, this is what people from my country (philippines) do when they buy stuff from amazon and ship it here.

I mentioned above that scenario and how It could result into basically the same results. Reship companies use FedEx, DHL and USP Express which are expensive as well.

I think if bought directly from the company was better,
and will be good again looking at the site or the internet in order to give a discount code.

I know that's the recommended thing to do but I thought I could find a third party who get supplies from the company Itself. I found discount code but It really doesn't do much. (like 3% off)

Although there are helpful people everywhere, there are malicious intentions too and often it is difficult foresee the malice in someone we do not know. In spite of how I love BCT community, I too would not trust in a wallet product ordered second-hand. Unfortunately, I have not ordered my Ledger Nano S yet due to similar reasons. So my only wish is you would post the option in public if you happened to find a way to resolve this question.

Really if you have enough bitcoin to need a Ledger Nano S you can afford the shipping. You should also buy two while you are ordering in case one malfunctions so you have a spare. You could also check the Trezor shop to see if they have more economical shipping.

It seems like almost all companies charge hefty prices when shipping abroad.
Your best bet is to find a member on here selling the Ledgers themselves or to have one sent to a member and forwarded to you. You'd probably have to pay a little for the service but at least you'll still get the actual shipping cost...

It's probably the worst bet? I mean, It's probably possible that whoever sold me the wallet did something to the wallet to steal my bitcoins later at some point.

There might be a problem with their shopping cart; you should have the option of a less expensive method of shipping. Why not visit their help center at http://support.ledgerwallet.com/help_center click on help at the bottom and send them an email, see if they can program in a less expensive option to ship to your country. Hope this helps.

I have contacted them and they told me that USP Express is the only option they provide for Algeria, that's why I'm looking for an alternative legit third party option.
