It's good for fun! But it doesn't increase the value of your Satoshi in any way as you can't control the Satoshi at your end. But keep security at the top and you may not want to disclose a lot of information about you. It's good to use a multicity VPN for such fun platforms. I see someone has recommended using TOR. But I believe that's not really required to have such complexity.

@nakamura12 - how do you ensure that you are sending only rare Satoshis to the receiver in case you find a buyer? I would like to know.

You can use coin control to move an especific satoshi. You can do it in electrum wallet.

ORDINALS, are the new ICOs, people it's a scam, they are showing you what you think has any value because others are telling you, but it doesn't have any value. Just like OP says, they worth nothing. This is the same as water molecules, why would you be needing a tracker to know whether the next glass of water you are drinking has any molecules from someone's piss from 200 years ago or not?

Imagine if we had that as pissdinals, I wonder what could go wrong in that scenario.

Honestly, that I am not sure on how or what to do but if the website that OP found is helpful or useful then I would use it to know if I have rare satoshi and I think it will only let you know if you have rare satoshi and ensuring that you send the rare Satoshi is that I don't know as I have said earlier but if that's the case then it's better to send all the Satoshi if it's in small amount. Anyway, it is only "what if" about some people being a Cryptocurrency collectors that collects rare Satoshi. In short, I can't answer on how to ensure that it is the rare satoshi that I have sent if I found a buyer.

I checked a few addresses with no luck, but I think it would've been better if it wasn't limited to UTXOs only.

but I wonder who are the people who are willing to pay for something like that?
They're probably the same people who also pay a certain amount of money to get their hands on testnet coins Sad

I agree with other forum members that even though you have rare Satoshi or Bitcoin for example, it's value won't be higher or lower but if there are people who likes or wants to have that Satoshi like a collector then maybe he/she might/will buy it much higher price (who knows). For me, it doesn't matter if it's rare or not because Bitcoin is Bitcoin even though you have rare Satoshi or not. There could be people like that in Cryptocurrency or maybe not unless someone will tell us if there are people like that.

There are more crazy people than we imagine out there who is willing t spend their money on useless things. And we can find hundreds of lists like this

10 Worthless Items Sold for an Insane Amount of Money

So, you never know there may be rich guys out there who want to buy the piece of stats for more than its actual market value.

For curiosity, use it is acceptable but use it with Tor connection. Security wise.
~snip~

That site doesn't seem to be very privacy friendly when it comes to Tor, at least as far as I'm concerned it refuses to connect because it can't pass the CF check.

I just discovered this nice web site which lets you know if you hold any rare satoshi

I don't even know where to start with such a check, and somehow it doesn't seem logical to me (for the sake of privacy) to enter my addresses or transactions in that site. I have to admit that there are some really smart people who sell literally what should be worthless for a real fortune - but I wonder who are the people who are willing to pay for something like that?

Even if I have some hidden treasure, I'll leave it buried for now Wink

I agree that this is not privacy friendly. However,  you can just enter some addresses you have (like the ones you share here, which already have zero privacy) and see if you have some interesting satoshis.

I think it is amazing to have a satoshi from this 10,000 pizza in my wallet, which traveled a long way before reaching me...

You may also have some sats mined by satoshi himself, and things like that.

I agree with you, checking and get some information from it, even you have rare satoshi, it does not make your satoshi has more value.

When I visit the website, its landing page, my impression is it a website to shill Solana.

Next it is like a website to shill Ordinals. If you want to buy rare satoshi, there https://magiceden.io/ordinals/marketplace/rare-sats
