Indeed, there is a lot of panic and contradictory rumors due to a poor translation from Chinese into English and other languages. Because of this, all this confusion. It is necessary to wait a while and everything will fall into place. Better yet, it's time to buy bitcoin and liked altcoyins.

China is laughing all day for the past few days because the whole world is under its control and influence. The recent news and rumors of new are all testifying to the fact of how powerful can China be in almost aspects of global play...not just in cryptocurrency really.

Why it came to this sad state? Well, China knows how to plan and it has a long-range goals and one thing is for sure Bitcoin and cryptocurrency may not be included in that global domination vision.

Right now, China can show a tantrum and the whole world can shake. Can you feel now the power of China all over your body (hell, am even using a body wash Made in China!)?

Sad  To say but you are right they are making dominance in almost all aspect in the economy for each country. They can dectate a war by simply not exporting their products in your country and whats worse is that it is  a part of your daily needs. Yet it doesn't also mean that those countries are not capable of providing it is just that they decided to buy from china because of its low costs.

Their influence isn't as big as you think. If you take a look at price charts we'll see that Bitcoin has lost only a couple hundred USD in value when the news from China reached the media. It was not more than 1/10 of its price! It means most people decided to sit and wait instead of rushing to the exchanges. You can't keep spreading fake news forever, people will finally learn to ignore it.
I know a lot of people who has only bought bitcoin and they don't care about it at all (real hodlers Smiley ). If there is a FUD, they don't read anything, so they won't react. And there are a lot of people who read news only once per day or on weekends because they are really busy in real life things, so FUD can have impact on people but not on all of them. Or, if somebody is on holiday, they won't care about FUDs, just when they're back from holiday...

China banning ICOs affected the bitcoin market too and hence the price dropped instantly on all exchanges. It does control a significant part of the bitcoin market which is why a single negative move can just ruin the market while the FUD that kept spreading about the news made it even worse. This is a huge drawback when it comes to bitcoins. Now they are claiming to shut down the local exchanges and don't know whether this news is right or not as it was just some kind of speculation made by the regulators.

this bad news only to let prices down so many can get rich fast ,dont worry by the end of 2017 price will be more than 7500$
Yes it's a bad news by china, by the way i hope that what you said it become true be the end of this year. I believe that bitcoin price will increase again after this fall, It's too powerful now than rest stable in 4000$ level for a long time. I think it will increase again in few weeks later and achieve quickly the 5k$.

This price drop should only be temporary. Not all ICO's originate in China, although perhaps the majority do. How possible is it to use  vpn technology to overcome the ban? There is sometimes too much hype ,or fud as it seems to be called these days, with cryptocoins. I do not see China's action being the end of ICO's. I am still adding to my coins.

On balance I still find myself confused as to which media stories to believe about China and which ones to ignore.
It would take me days of research and reading around to try and work out which bits of information released by the media are true , which are misleading and which are just down right lies.
There was clearly money to be made off the back of the news from China though.

Yeah this was a sweet cash grab for cheap BTC, THC for the Chinese. Hmm state sponsored mining farms - methinks this is not going to be banned.

The best way to counter manipulation is to do the opposite - if you hear FUD rumors, buy Bitcoin instead if selling. Not only you will be likely to profit, you may also deny any profits to the people behind the FUD, and also make them lose money, because they usually open short positions before launching FUD. Alternatively, you can turn from trader into hodler, thus decreasing Bitcoins volatility and lowering available supply on the market.

China would really give an impact into everything knowing that they do really have the power or influence on anything since they do have the funds specially on this kind of field. Im not totally shaken of but accepting the fact that they do really have the power on most thing exist on this world and as you said maybe they are just laughing now to see how cryptoworld did react on such movement made by china.

With China's population of over a billion it's not really a surprise. Their people live in a state of poverty and depression so the political entities in China might be laughing but in reality the country really isn't that great. They're too invested in finance and resources / government than their own peoples happiness..

Yeah i saw a lot of failed FUDs in the last days, but people is still believing them.. If one user in this forum says that bitcoin will drop to $2000 tomorrow, then maybe 1/5 people will dump his coins, and this is how the fud works in this forum... that is so sad, but it is real.
And as you said, China is not "spreading" fear only in cryptocurrencies, they are doing it global, and that is why their local currency is going up.

I am laughing too, but then at all the people taking everything for granted without thinking about the massive possibility of this being an attempt to halt Bitcoin's growth by people with deep pockets targeting discount levels.

It's not for nothing that the western market hasn't gone down as much as China ~ if China was as big as it has been previously, we would experience a massive blood bath due to the entire world selling like mad.

Japan and South Korea are generating more volume per country than China, and that while they are quite new in this market ~ China lost a major part of its importance, but clearly not enough for people to discard this fud news.

That may be true though like I stated before, there is an opportunity to make some money from this. Since the coins are all falling in price, the people that were selling the coins on and off aren’t doing it any more. They prolly wanted to get their coins out as soon as they could because they knew their coins would be transferred over to the people that are in charge of the exchanges.
Bitcoin will go up in value because of this because the government will find that they can’t really do anything to make the people stop purchasing a digital product.
