This is quite a welcome development for Bitcoin as this decision taken by the Citizens school in Dubai will will trigger an influence to her neighbors to also take this part, which definitely will bring a wider awareness and crypto knowledge to many.

On other way round, the school is definitely going to benefit from this process as it may likely bring much recognition to its name and increase it's rate of wealth creation for itself too.

[Nope]No hype delivers more than hope

I'm not seeing this that side but what I see is that a transaction in bitcoin that has been credited to someone that prefers the fluctuating mechanism of bitcoin. I believe that it is the end benefit that matters right now for the school. I think it is looking like investment for the school now that the expectation is looking bull for bitcoin.

I don't understand why educational institutions need investment to grow or get "richer" with bitcoin. In fact they can do that very easily by increasing the cost of education or creating a monopoly business that is visible and risk-free, eg dormitories, canteens, school supply stores and uniforms.

After all, bitcoin is nothing but to increase the visibility effect of the school name.

Let's be honest, this is nothing but a fantastic marketing trick for this school.

Yeah thought about it too. It is impossible for a school to be able to hold and tolerate bitcoin fluctuations while on the other hand, they need operational costs at all times and valid financial statements. After all, schools are not business institutions. As long as there is no certainty as a legal tender, there will be no spending in bitcoin either.

For a school to accept crypto for tuition payment then for sure they are fully aware about its volatility because they could not just accept nor imply such option or acceptance if they dont like that volatility
aspect but since they had accepted it out then for sure they had already accepted the real deal with crypto which having these kind of news is always been positive thats why we should be at least
having that hope that we would really be heading on more or bigger adoption in near future.

It’s a good thing that schools are starting to adopt cryptocurrencies for tuition payments. How I wish I can see that as well right here in the Philippines. I only knew that some top famous universities in my country are already implementing elective blockchain courses, and some are trying to adopt it into the curriculum of a certain department like Commerce, Information Tech, etc.
That would be good if that happen in the Philippines. It could also be good if the universities other countries could also accept students from other countries that will pay tuition using bitcoin if not a university but the same as university but only teaching English language to those who want to learn English language. Still, if that won't happen this time but still it's a good news that a school now accept crypto as tuition payment.

Citizens School in Dubai Accept Crypto for Tuition Payment.

The Good news is coming from Dubai stating that "Citizens School" now accept the payment for tuition fee in cryptocurrency (Bitcoin & Ethereum), this comes as the first of it kind all over the United Arab Emirates and the entire middle east region as to accepting crypto payment in schools with the official statement quoted below

Quote
The school promises to offer flexible payment options in addition to traditional forms of payments and interest-free monthly payment options that Citizens Schoolwill offer. As explained, payments in crypto will be accepted in a tie-up with a digital currency platform that processes cryptocurrency payments and automatically converts them to Emirati dirhams (AED).

It could be recalled on the recent booming of crypto activities in UAE and how the government provide a suitable regulation for the exhibition of "Crypto Free Zone" in the region and the massive relocation of crypto investstor from Russia to UAE because the atmosphere there promote cryptocurrency activities as well as being fully supported by the government, also Dubai is well known as the "Centre for Business and Commerce" as it hold annual "Biz Expo Summit" whereby different countries all over the globe mark the attendance.

The rate of digital technology development is fast increasing in the region while the founder of the "Citizens School" in Dubai made a statement with a commitment and interest to help the upcoming generations equiped in the era of digital economy in UAE at large.

It's a great idea, especially as it includes Ethereum as well as Bitcoin. There is no harm in giving that option, at least for some tuition options. Recalled or not, it gives a good idea and a stepping stone for others to engage in the same experiments. I guess they would only work for private schools because state-owned schools might have different rules about that.

Dubai has always been a place favorable towards crypto. I do not know what makes them so crypto supportive but I am not against it at all. I feel like it is certainly a way of getting a lot more attention towards crypto and I like that.

Tuition is also a very expensive thing when you are a kid, you either get it paid by your parents (thank God that my parents did that, I wouldn't be able to pay them like my friends did, kudos to all of them) or you would have to work hard during your school years to pay that back. This crypto version allows you to earn crypto money, meaning you could get a job in the crypto world, there are plenty of jobs if you could get hired, and you would be able to provide your tuition that way.

I know Who I AM
To be able to get this much attention already, Crypto is by far one of most revolutionary tec of 21st century.
And crypto adoption is unavoidable. Its just matter of time when almost any institute or big firms will allow all type of crypto base payments.
In case of Dubai, we already know how big market value it has and recent crypto regulations make it more suitable for crypto investment platform. Now many institute ate taking this as Chance and trying crypto payment system.
Let's see how successful ot could be for now .

This is good news for both Bitcoin and Ethereum and crypto in general. But this isn't surprising at all. Dubai, and UAE as a whole, have proved to be progressive in dealing with the rising popularity of crypto. I just hope that this is something that will somehow provide encouragement to their neighboring Middle Eastern countries which until now still don't find Bitcoin appealing enough. Aside from the UAE, Bahrain is also open to crypto. But their neighbor Qatar has yet to give the green light.

Not surprised by this news, because Dubai is one of the cities that are quite friendly to crypto so that in the future there will be news that this city will adopt crypto in many areas of life.
As usual institutions that accept crypto payments will not fully received crypto because all payments will be directly converted to local currency, and I think this move will make the crypto payment processor business will increase because it will be very likely that institutions that accept crypto rises but will convert directly to fiat.

The average summer temperature in dubai being what it is, one would imagine they would offer every incentive and option they could to offset the uncomfortable weather. Dubai representing arab oil sheiks attempt to prepare for a post oil future, implies the success of real estate in the region must be long term. This determines the UAE strategy being one to incentivize long term immigration into the region.

I would expect dubai's regulatory policies to mirror that of el salvador. Low taxation, deregulation with support for innovative and growing technologies.

What would be cool is if dubai partnered with Elon Musk's boring company. To attempt subterranean real estate development. Which could greatly save on cooling costs and create an environment which maintained comfortable temperatures year round.

Let's be honest, this is nothing but a fantastic marketing trick for this school. It'll most likely have all sorts of entry requirements but the key element is they are NOT actually accepting payment in Bitcoin. It's automatically converted into the local currency at the moment the payment is due, which removes the slightest risk for the school in not receiving the expected amount. It's just the same as them accepting gold or coal, which was instantly swapped for cash before they got their hands dirty. This is a bit of an illusion and a charade. The government in the UAE or middle east in general have not shown that they're particularly fond of cryptocurrency, their laws are barely developed enough to accomodate normal fiat banking.
So you mean on having that payment processor in between? Not that really much a surprising thing and just like with other merchants who do end up on having the same way which turns out to be

default on where it is not surprising yet volatility is something that they could just simply accept and since its business then every profit or revenue would count but still i do see this news
to be still relevant and something good and as long it do touches or do talks about crypto then it would be still considered as positive one which we do really need.

I believe a lot of institutions or organizations are just finding more ways of payment method, and crypto is a very viable option as it is digital. A lot are going cashless these days, so no surprise if they will include crypto specifically bitcoin. Volatility is not a major factor now of consideration because they can always convert the crypto to their fiat to avoid this concern. I think a lot more institutions or merchants will try to include crypto in their payment system in the coming days to cater the growing need of their community in terms of digital payment.

It's Dubai and one of the good countries that I've known and is very progressive.

They're open to many explorations not just from what their country is rich of but to every technology that could help their economy to go up. A school that accepts crypto.

Sounds new but it isn't really new since it can be spent to almost anything not just only for tuition payments.

This positive news around bitcoin and cryptocurrency is because it users are increasing daily and because they understand it now they can decide to accept it in their businesses. I may not be surprised the proprietor of the school or admin, whoever is in charge is already having some bitcoin or altcoins and that makes it easy for them to announce payment with it. UAE has shown to be positive and this a good direction.

Everyone is adopting crypto as they see real cash of every country had been inflating and Dubai I guess no blanket protecting them too. Its just unbelievable that some businesses are the first to act like schools when it should have been the online businesses like the Amazon or eBay that makes BTC known to online users. Adoption will accelerate faster if its those ecommerce announcing how open they are to accepting BTC.

Whenever I hear or read name of Dubai . . . .

I listen this back of my mind - “if you think money can’t buy happiness, Habibi come to Dubai”.  Lolz.

I am not sure how many of you seen that reel but it’s cool and gives you clear idea that Dubai is country with endless possibilities of money things.

Crypto currency in Dubai seems very cheap. I mean for the people from Dubai it’s just so easy to have crypto fees, payments etc. I’m fully confident that Dubai will surprise us with more bitcoin commercial projects in the future to come.

This could be just one of the starting point. Definitely big sea of crypto is luring upfront.
