As long as you have your private key you can gain bcc. You only need to have bitcoin before the hard fork. You can export your private key to grab free bcc as I understood.

I don't think that Blockchain provides private keys. When does the fork coming? Is it too late now or not? (i mean they said 12:20PM - but in which GMT (+0?). I've curently 13:16 PM in my country)

Hi vk279,

Feel free to use the method outlined here at http://www.coinpurveyor.com/how-to/how-to-claim-bitcoin-cash-from-blockchain-wallet/. I find this to be the easiest.

Although it has worked for many people, please proceed at your own risk. Read the security caution at the end of the article.
Thanks Devon.  I will do it this weekend and will update here in this thread.

I've wallet provided by Blockchain.info. As they wrote, they will not support BCC. My question is: How do I get safely BCC when I have BTC in my blockchain wallet? Is NOW there a chance to get it or I am too late?

trying to figure out how to claim BCC using my private key. I came across an article that basically stated that I can get my private key, transfer my bitcoin to a different wallet and AFTER I moved my Bitcoin use the private key to claim my BCC. does anybody know if it can be done that way?
would hate to miss out on the free BCC but don't want to risk my Bitcoin getting it

Any one could get bcc for the amount that you had in your blockchain wallet?
Still no clear ways....
Some say first we should transfer the funds to any other wallet before attempting to get bcc and some say not to do so because any incoming or out going funds will affect amount of bcc we get.
Still confusing.

Hi ilvbtc,

DO NOT transfer any "old" bitcoin (BTC) from prior to 1st August in your Blockchain wallet. Doing so would make these bitcoins as new transactions after the 1st, and this amount will not convert or split to Bitcoin Cash (BCC) when you perform the procedure below. I learned this the hard way when I thought I could consolidate my bitcoin and get a higher BCC amount. Even those sitting in your sub-wallet address in Blockchain appears to be held by a different set of private keys, and when I moved those from there to the main core "My Bitcoin Wallet - default", the amount that was moved ultimately didn't become BCC. Only the original unmoved ones in the core wallet split into an equivalent amount of BCC.

For the complete step-by-step guide with screenshot on how you can claim your Bitcoin Cash with the existing bitcoin from your Blockchain wallet, kindly refer to http://www.coinpurveyor.com/how-to/how-to-claim-bitcoin-cash-from-blockchain-wallet/.

Yes. Definitely do not transfer. Does anyone know if you can just restore a new trezor with your 12 word passphrase from blockchain.info?  If you can do that you can use their coin splitting tool no problem. Claiming BCH from a trezor is Agosto foolproof

There are many tutorial that explains how to get your BCH out of your btc balance provided you had it at the time of the fork at 08/01/2017.

You will get a lot of information at this thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/aug-1-summary-2059111 and i hope you get a solution to blockchain issues.

The question is the transfer/emptying of BTC from block chain to other wallet is done after 1st Aug.Does it make any difference on the amount of bch we claim now?

Hi .. Think of it this way:

you send 5 btc after fork your transactions are in the new only btc blocks, the bcc doesn't see your 5 btc anymore so you can not claim those 5 send btc to bcc. Only the 5 before fork coins are in the bcc history blocks

So you can only get 5bcc if you now how to

No I dont think you are right, becuase if you see and read the steps to get BSH even from ELECRUM's official website. they recommend to first transfer your coin to some new wallet.
See step-3 on this page: https://electrum.org/bcc2.txt
Please suggest if anybody knows it for sure!

So that means If I had 10 BTC in my Blockchain wallet before segwit(1 aug) and after segwit if i already have transfered 5 BTC to some other wallet, so in My Blockchain.info wallet i can claim only for remaining 5 BTC's BCC?
If yes then what will happen of my rest 5 BTC? which were available in my Blockchain wallet at the time of Segwit activation?
Please reply.

If you had 10 BTC in your wallet after 8/1, and then you sent the BTC out (after 8/1), you should still have access to the 10 BCH that was there from 8/1 and forward.    Claiming it gets a little dicey I think...I don't quite understand what to do yet if you made transactions after 8/1, and you are trying to import like 10 BCH to one wallet but have your other 5 BTC in the blockchain.info wallet.

I am hoping that blockchain.info just changes their stance and ultimately ends up adding BCH.   I haven't seen any newer comments on it yet...have you guys?

So I can see my 0.78 BCC now using electroncash wallet, but it keeps saying unconfirmed beside my amount, and says insufficient funds when I try to send it to another address. Just keeps saying waiting for fee estimate. Anyone know what this is?

I think you can't send the whole amout but have to consider the transaction fee. As far as I remember there is a bar, with that you can reduce or increase the fee. I just reduced the amount to be send step by step until it worked.
I don't think you are saying true , because electroncash.org is scam wallet .
Actually the reality is what , i know very well . That wallet is showing only btc amount not bcc amount but the devloper made the development of the app such that symbol of the btc innthe head is replaced by bcc ( by view in top) .
When you will withdraw your btc to another adress then you will find that bcc also get reduced by tye same amount but it should not be according to the guidelines of the official announcement in this forum .
So here i would like to suggest you to get your ohrase backup from the blockchain wallet and then put the phrase backup words in the coinomi wallet ( available at playstore ) and then there you will find the steps to claim the bcc coin by simple method by add cash and with change of additional settings .
