This is the lastest version or still 9.8?

Latest version of the claymore's ETH dual miner is 10.0

I think these issues may have to do more with the fork and sliding difficulty and mining than anything.

My miner keeps crashing. I have 5x asus dual rx 480 8gb, and since this morning looks like drivers crashed, I reinstalled drivers (blockchain) and patched it, reinstalled MSI AB, everything started working and again it crashed. I use Claymore 10. Any idea?

Same problem here, average hashrate seems lowered and getting low ...

In counterpart my reported hashrate not moved ...

Issue with claymore ? Maybe i have to soft reset miner ?

Your miners work ok after fork?

Actually difficulty on Eth has dropped drastically. I'm noticing my profits go up by the hour here. This is awesome news for us miners. Anyone else notice?

It was the same for me too before 10 hours but the profit dropped almost 50% instantly? Is it the same for you too?

Have you tried the block chain drivers?

I have been using blockchain drivers and still got an issue but I fixed it.. just removed with DDU and then reinstalled the same driver and wuala it went back to 207.2 mhs/s

Blockchain drivers I have tried to use when they came out, but I switched back. I am currently using driver Version 22.19.659.1 (Device Manager).

@ doodleza reinstaling same driver worked?  Nice. What cards do you have?

For me the hangs and miner restarts was because undervolting too much gigabyte gamings. 850 for memory not liked, back to 900 seems better. less or no opencl hanged. not problems from driver or claymore, i think.

For those who experience OPENCL hang - guys, i recommend you to try lowering you cards temps. However this is kinda tricky with some cards. I will explain below

For my Gigabyte rx580 g1 4gb i experienced same problems - no overclocking at startup sometimes (also - try to delete afterburner profiles for this cards and apply overclocking via Claymore) and after 4-8 hrs mining - opencl error, claymore restart or system hang - especially day time when it gets warmer - so all hangups i got at day time.

The thing is - the card was undervolted and overclocked - no HWinfo errors or something, doing 29.5 mhs ETH and 64 LBC in dual mode, but still this error with opencl.
Then i checked the average temp during mining - it was about 73-75 degrees which is pretty high as i assumed. I have installed the 120-120 fan for additional cooling - but the RX580 series uses some smartass cooler management - so basically the card just lowered down it's fans RPM, keeping the same temp - about 73 degrees.

After some research - i have decided to go risky way and modify BIOS as no other means of controlling fan-temps  worked for me - even claymore temperature control was causing system hangs.

I have used SRBPOLARIS editor to make changes to GPU "Target temperature" settings - i have put 68 degrees here and flashed card. (No other fan settings affected the fan behavior)

After that, the card works perfectly fine for more than 72 hrs .

I think the card was heating up way too much due to Gigabyte ineffective cooling and stock fan settings  - especially memory chips, what caused driver reboot and overclocking reset.

For those who need help with this mod - contact me, also i can help with memshift mod.

My friend and I lovered temperatures with fans on MSI 570 (Hynix) and it worked. But I rather do something about it, because holding temps under 60C is not a long term solution.

I have 2 issues with Claymore 10.0 (Win10, blockchain drivers, 6card rigs running 570 and 470 cards)

1) After initial rig start (i.e. after powering or resetting the whole rig) Claymore 10.0 runs with lower hashrates (for example about 23-25Mhs with 470/570 cards). After stoping the miner and re-run .bat, I getting normal rates (i.e. miner has to be restarted and operates as expected only after 2nd run, never from the first)

2) Unpredictable hashrate drop during mining for some cards in rig (usually 1 or 2 of them). Rate drops and keeps at 23-25. The only solution I found is to restart Claymore.

Any comments guys?

Same issue here...as mentioned 470's and 570's
Has anyone found a fix for this ?
I have as instructed tried the timeout and it does not work
Thanks in advance

Are you talking about problem numbered 1 or numbered 2?
As to No.1 I was discussing with few people and they have similar problems, not solved. I am not worry too much as it happens only at first start.
But No.2 really makes me headache, because unpredictable.

I am having a # 1 issue....but

on #2 add if using the .bat file --tt 70 --fanmin 50

the reason is that the cards are throttling down due to temp

see if that helps

Put these in the config file:

-r 0
-minspeed

by using those commands, miner will restart if it cannot reach X hashrate in 5 minutes.
this is tried and tested as per my experience.

Friends and my MSI 570 with Hynix chips are snaping today like crazy.
We use Claymore 10.0, AB 4.4.0. beta 16, Driver 9.14.10.01293. Crismon BETA
Until today everything was ok.
What's happening?

We tried to push fans more in order to drop temperatures on cards and it worked. I think critical temp. is near 60C, which is stupid. Is there any other solution for this?

I have been mining 207.2 for weeks, after driver fix and I have tuned all settings well, and my miner was very stable until now.. I just opened anydesk (remote desktop) and meanwhile GPUs hanged and miner was restarted after all, overall hash rate dropped down to 175, each GPU 25.2 hashrate, what is the problem? RX 580 8gb x7

Your miners work ok after fork?

Actually difficulty on Eth has dropped drastically. I'm noticing my profits go up by the hour here. This is awesome news for us miners. Anyone else notice?

Difficulty dropped, making block time shorter. So, more blocks.

Reward also dropped, so, less revenue per block.

Net result is almost no difference in mining profitability - as intended in the upgrade.

You got it wrong sir Smiley

Why is that? Explain please  Grin

hi dude

1. uninstall afterburner
2. ddu through safe mode
3. install blockchain beta drivers from amd site
4. Download afterburner beta 16 , uninstall the current afterburner and install beta 16 to another folder just to be sure.
5. restart
6. use claymore v10 with    -di 012 only
then another batch file with -di 345
then another batch file with -di 67

try and lemme know what happens

PS this problem you are having is also prob something to do with what i have been complaining in this thread....

hope you come right.

Guys

Need some help

I have one rig thats driving me nuts

8 x Gigabyte Aorus 4gb Rx570's some with ELPIDA and some with Hynix
Asus z270-a
g4400
ddr 8gb
windows 10 fresh install
Blockchain drivers

My biggest issue is that when i make changes to the batch file the computer freezes..i get the blue screen with an error "Thread stuck in Device Driver"

I have swapped out motherboard with a new one...added more power...re installed windows several times....did clean DDU driver uninstalls several times etc...ONLY after i make a change and reboot it it MIGHT start hashing correctly....by correctly i mean it will always hash but at the stock clocks. I then need to resstart Claymore several times until it gets the overclocks.

I normally use the claymore batch file for all of my overclocks and undervolts...so i have tried several versions of MSI AB and its the same thing....

Am i doing something wrong ir is it these particular cards ? I even changed to Claymore 9.8 but that lowers the hash every so often to 14mh acroos all the cards ?

Also Compared to my other rigs this one is using a lot of electricity over 150w per card

I have used Polaris Editor 1.62 to change timings

Im at my wits end and can use some help if someone has run into these issues before

Thanks in advance
