After much testing. The most ideal speed is at 1070/1375. Going any higher frequency on the memory results in no speed changes. Same with going to the previous or next memory strap. I think my limitation is this CRAPPY Sempron single core processor because I was able to go above 50Sol/s in an i3 rig.

Here are some benchmarks

Only 1 I left stock the rest are modded.

Try it and let me know what speed you guys get. Maybe with an i7 you can get 60Sol/s on a 280x.

EDIT: Now they are all running at 50Sol/s. I think the way Claymore calculates speed isn't accurate sometimes.

It seems the Calymore ZCash miners use very little CPU. So why would that affect the CPU so much?
[/quote]

No idea but its a crappy old $5 CPU, so it affects the mining speed in some way. I'll put the GPU in another i3 and see what speeds I get.

So quick question: This miner says that I'm mining at 192 H/s. However NiceHash is reporting 140 SOLS/s. My question is does 192 H/s translate to 140 SOLS/s, or should NiceHash be reporting what the miner's saying which, again, is 192 H/s?

Miner H/s is the same what Nicehash names as Sols/s.
Thing is that current hashrate can fluctuate. Make sure to check the average speed on nicehash.

What is this? H5GQ2H24AFR MEMORY  and how to use it is this on linux? I am on windows 7 with 280 and 280x cards and 1 390  how i can boost more than 45 or 50?

Hi Claymore,

Do you intend to have a "-ethi 16" equivalent for your zec miner?

My 390s are running at full speed but since its has 8Gb Vram, I am sure you can push this miner to squeeze the last bits of that 8GB.

Perhaps a switch to do turbo mode?

Thanks

Claymore's miner currently uses less than 1GB per card, so he'd have to make some fundamental change for it to require over 4GB and therefore make your 8GB card "more useful".

can someone please help me

I was getting 33sols before using other program

I switched to claymors and started getting less because I had really new drivers

so I downgraded to the right driver (brand new GPUS)

I had some issues getting my PC to recognise my gpus

however now its up and running

1gpu gets 40 solds and the other gpu is only getting 10 sols... whats happening?

i then switched it to etc to see if it made a difference

an now i have 1gpu hashing at 25mhs and 1 gpu hashing at 4mhs

why the hell is one of my cards going super slow

its temp is 55 and fan of 14% (looks to mee like its not working)

if anyone can help me i would be forever grateful

at moment im using this to mine zcash calssic... better profitability than zcash  as also there is not even dev fee for them... but  only advantage of this miner is coz it is win and is very easy to downlot graphic card... else linux miner was way more stable and faster

Where to mine zcash classic i cant find a pool not even the coin..  Thanks you in advanced

All this talk about price drop is irrelevant at this point.  Do you really believe it would maintain above Bitcoin?  It's supply and demand.
I get tired of hearing short term speculations.  How about all those die-hard souls who mined Btc from the start, where are they now?  It took a couple years and that's only because it was the first and unknown at the time.

Claymore, hope all is well and thanks for your candidness of the situation.  Looking forward to more optimization to get us closer to your original goal.

I sold all my r9 280x's, 290x's months ago but I'm sure efficiency will run the game looking forward.
Are rx470's, 480's still the way to go for efficiency?  Restocking my rigs in the coming weeks.  (Much rather run a rig at 700w instead of 1100w).

I mine for profit but I don't just dump. I currently have 37 Eth coins takes me 3 days to make a coin so I been sitting on them for a while. I mine for a profit but also hold for a profit.  To many miners with mine and dump mentality and does not even care what they sell for.  These type of people could never be a successful business man as they would put themselves out of business under selling everyone else where they don't make a profit.  Guess we can be glad these idiots don't run business or they would put others out of business before they collapsed themselves.

Only in mining have I seen such horrible business mentality from so many they don't even consider it a business and just out to make a profit and destroy the coin in general as they have no interest in currency.  This ruins it for everyone.

The only reason anyone gives a shit is because they think not having a stable windows miner would earn them more profit.
This.  Tons of posts about how "greedy" Claymore made a stable miner for Windows.  Now mining is more open to the masses, so it's more fair, and mining is less headache.  People claim this miner is the cause of price drop.  But they don't realize it has been dropping since release, price was way to high due to scarcity, now it is just correcting for higher miner reward, and as time goes on more coins get mined, even without slow start. I think all the posts are just greedy people themselves, that don't want to share any profit.  Even with price drop, it is still more profitable than any other coin.  Ethereum is good to mine now also if people don't want to mine this coin that only has 3.5 month ROI. 2 week ROI was totally unsustainable.

So quick question: This miner says that I'm mining at 192 H/s. However NiceHash is reporting 140 SOLS/s. My question is does 192 H/s translate to 140 SOLS/s, or should NiceHash be reporting what the miner's saying which, again, is 192 H/s?

Angry Angry Angry

I understand that claymore has used some of the code to another developer, but it seems exaggerated to make a controversy and point the finger at a person, I remind you that if there were no developers we could go to extract money with crappy programs that create , not optimized, then I remember, and also the fastest miner that there is at this moment, I have not tried the silent miner, but I tried just to Genoil, I get 25 hs per card, while I get claymore 52 per card, then I saw that claymore and the only updates its miner, others do 1 max 2 updates and then stop, so do not always complain and thank those who work to make the miner home available for us fans ,.
Unfortunately, the human being does not understand what it means to be a community, and help each other, greed is rampant in our Veneda centuries, so I'm not surprised at all, find me some other miner for windows that exceeds 52 h / s of 390x on a single zcash. I say it does not exist.

sorry for my english.

google translador rulezzz   Grin Grin Wink

You are missing the point.
Claymore is using his good reputation (because of his other good miners) and he is stealing, and rebranding someone else's code.
It makes no difference if there is no other Windows miner at the moment (genoil called his own miner "a piece of shit"). You are still paying 2.5% of your hardware and electricity bill for a global replace and a compilation... to someone who admitted that he stole the code when he was caught...

And do have a look some posts before... some are reporting some "strange" behavior of his miner

Newbie account.

Claymore directly took control within 24 hours. New version is in the works with copyright notices included.

This is no longer an issue.

Not sure if this was reported before... Looks like the miner will not switch to a failover pool specified in epools.txt if he can connect to the main pool and there is a timeout:

P.S. In http://www.whattomine.com/coins now and then appears UTC on top - currently 3.5$ profit for 280x. I am afraid, however, that this coin is in danger of delisting in Bittrex and the buy offers are pretty small.

Yeah I have delisted it again as it was misleading.
Sometimes the diff drops to the super low values and coin boosts on the ranking, but there are not enough buy orders for this to be sustainable.

Btw anyone got their 380 faster? 30H/s is pretty slow  Tongue

I do not defend anyone, you and true claymore was wrong, but he amesso which used some of the code, and withdrew its release, now he says he was not aware of that code, we want to give the benefit of the doubt? Now we see the next version that releases,.
for the problem of the 2.5% fee will have reason and a little high as a fee, as well calculating the fee of pools, also he said that this tax will bring it to 1% just believe?
