As someone has mentioned before, this coin has become a mine and dump coin. With the latest huge drop in price the profits are almost equal to ETC now. Although  Zec is still not present ( Huh)  in http://www.whattomine.com/coins, for my small home farm of 280x and 390's (1200 sols/s) this is the reality. If we as a community do not learn how to care for our coins, sooner or later our profits will be gone. I mean, every time the pools pay to the miners there is a rush to fill the buy book in poloniex. I am not saying that we should wait too long but there is a way to sell in small portions with a minimal negative impact on the price. I do not consider myself as a good trader but I managed to doble my Zec profits selling during the spikes and not affecting the price in a negative way at all. Just a food for thought while squeezing another sols from your cards

I agree with you completely, there are ways of maximising profit long term but mining and dumping as fast as possible destroy confidence and reduce everyone's potential returns. Such behaviour only works when the demand outstrips supply, not with artificial scarcity and people panic dumping left right and centre. Part of the issue is many miners have a smash and grab mentality to mining. I love that commodity hardware like CPUs and GPUs allow mining to be democratised, however the flip side is people with no understanding of markets suddenly have assets they want to cash out to something they are more comfortable with like BTC. Part of the issue is volatility, part is the massively inflationary nature of the early mining phase, part is just mismanaged expectations.

Good suggesions , no cntr agrs , but agree , this coin met with CM and millions of VCs couht its destiny

@Claymore your miner is having a real strange behavior, I was experiencing a huge amount of duplicate shares, so we started some debugging to investigate what is happening, and I see this happening on all miners:
....

The Rig is running your v1.0

any idea why is this happening ?

v1.0 has problems with nonce after devfee mining until new main job is received. In v1.0 every hour after devfee mining nonce was reset to zero and miner checked same nonce range again until new job is received. So it could lose about 1-2% of shares. Fixed in v1.1, see history.txt or OP:

- fixed issue with rejected shares after devfee mining.

Thanks, Upgrading now.

So we waiting for 2.0 version with increased hashrate due to rewritten code?  Wink I think Claymore will show who is boss here...

If version 2 is not released today, it will be useless due to ZEC huge price drop. Unless it really increases hashrate exponentially  Grin

Fingers crossed!  Roll Eyes

FILES UPDATED TO INCLUDE MIT LICENSE DETAILS IN README.
People started asking me about miner package in PM and some people started to share alternate links for downloading, it's not a good thing because of possible viruses.
So according MIT license I added notice to README and uploaded new miner package back to original links. You can also see a license notice in original post of this thread.

Excellent!

Thank you for making a miner that DOUBLES anyone else's Smiley

You have always presented good stable work, sorry if others are offended.

Ask anyone if they use any other eth miner besides yours?

maybe?

thanks!

Do you guys even read??

480 does 50+ with the silentarmy kernel modded by nerdralph!!
I even posted a screenshot of this! Yes, modded rom, but the same gpu's only hit 47 max! with your precious claymore miner...

Btw, it even does 50 on a 390 nitro!

Without fee! Open source!

Sorry but you forgot what make Claymore miner value.

1) Stability
2) Remote Manager
3) Support old card like 7950, 7970...

Stability? Kidding me? Been running for 24hrs straight. 2cards, average at the pool 115 Sol.. yeah..

Remote manager, sure, if you like to manually enter all of your rigs in a manager. Great if you have 10 rigs, not if you have 200..

Support old cards, of course it does.. it's even faster on those. my 380 does 38-40 sol with nerdralphs mod ..

Eliovp, we all know that but we use windows, don't you get that ? Smiley

I'm mainly referring to the Linux users here..

But yes, you have a point. There is no stable windows release yet.

Let me personally try to change that this week.

Greetings

My experience with MSI R9 270X - under Claymore Win10 - 30h/s and stable
Under ethOS 1.1.4 (silentarmy) - only 24h/s and not stable.
on the same rig, with the same cards...

Well since you can't short ZEC, this millionaire must be buying for some reason.

Seems like a legit buy order, orders are getting filled.

P.S. In http://www.whattomine.com/coins now and then appears UTC on top - currently 3.5$ profit for 280x. I am afraid, however, that this coin is in danger of delisting in Bittrex and the buy offers are pretty small.

Come on genoil is crap for cpu usage.  Everyone knows it.  Only way I could get genoil to load at decent speed was to to click away from the windows once opened and then click back on it pulling focus away from it would kick it along.  At some point we will all have used someone previous work. who here thinks anything we do is original?  It's always based off prior people's work.  If you think the Wright brother invented flight your dead wrong.  Many came before that lead up to the Wright brothers taking flight.  All works are a progression from others past work.  To be able to copywright something as your original idea is disengenous at best. Fraudulent if you ask me.  At some point we just have to do for what's better for us all. Not bicker over the little shit.  It's like people thinking satoshi created Bitcoin. Well no. He took many others ideas and mashed them Together. Had they not come before him this would have never happened.  Do they get any credit? Never. Credit never goes to those that laid the road for you to get to where your going.  at some point everything will be open sourced. But sadly until that happens and we have the monetary system looming over us we will have the threats of being sued and blah blah blah.  We really have pinned ourselves into the corner on this one.

Anyway thanks for the great effort claymore.  No one else was going to release a stable miner until the they mined out the coin.  I'm glad you put pressure on the cloud ops and their returns.  But I'm sure they are butthurt about it.   Bragging about their super fast miners and now we are equal.  They don't like not being over the public. It's that power ego thing they have to stroke!

Best Regards
d57heinz
this is so Fucking sot on.

I don't usually stand up for people, but in this case your statement is not correct at all.

Mrb's silentarmy version 3 is faster and it was the first stable gpu miner.  A few hours after version 3 was released, Claymore decided to steal mrb's code, put it in his miner, then monetize the miner with a closed source code.

I find this unethical and likely illegal.
