pc keeps restarting, whats that normally from?

Thanks

Modded bios ?

No everything as defualt

Too weak PSU.

I only have 4 470 8gb and 1000w psu.....Everyone is saying they have 6 cards and only like 750w or is that only because of moded bios?

1000w psu doesnt give 1000w, it gives 80-90% usually. same with every psu. even if somebody says it has 6 cards and 750w psu, even if pc start, gpus won't mine.

in your case it possible that psu is really shitty, and it gives you even less than 80%, if not than search for problem in settings or elsewhere
had the same problem, just today change for a new psu also 1000w, but better one, works perfectly with 4 even 5 gpus rx 470.

Ok Ill try that, thanks so much for the help.

6x380 Asus 4G moded bios = 200h/s
6x470 Nitro 8G moded bios = 300h/s

Claymore, you are the best!!!

What's your bios mod for the 470 Nitro? Just tighter timing straps? Overclock? or both?

are you sure those settings are for 470?? I gone thru them and it seems its for 470 cards ... my card at 2200 will just not boot..

try disconnect one gpu and run miner, if it runs, it is psu. to make sure it is not the disconnected gpu, connect it back and discconnect another one

Miners developer
Miner reports locally 340H/s across 2 rigs, nanpool reports average 6 hour as 36sol/s LOL.... (this is after at least 6 hours hashing on nanopool)

Looks like you are mining to wrong wallet address.

I also noticed the miner says remote management is enabled on port 3333 so running this may open our computers up to remote access by someone other than us. I will be only running it on mining rigs that have no account details or financial info and monitoring my hash rates very closely.

Read OP or readme "-mport 0".

put -3333 so you can monitor but not remote access

try disable the gpus with 0 1 2 3 and then test them one by one by enabling and disabling see if any of them causes the problem what driver and os are you using ?

Latest drivers and windows 7 64x

The 7950/7970/280x were always the best mining cards due to their large memory bandwidth.

If it wasn't for the DAG file in ETH they would still hash at 27MH/s.

During the Litecoin days they hashed at 80% of the speed of a 290 and cost only 60% of the price. They were forgotten with ETH mining but are now back and killing RX480s.

Very well said, ( you forgot  280 without x) anyway 7950 is the winer. I'm getting almost 40-42 sol with 7950 ( sadly because I've sold few of them, 3 months ago)

anyone knows how to fix this ? using equihash.eu.nicehash.com:3357 these short disconnects happen quite often.

ZEC: Received unknown response: {"id":null,"method":"client.reconnect","params":[]}

ZEC: Stratum - socket send failed 10053, disconnect

Yeah I have a 7950 sitting in the shop unused, just ordered some risers and plan on putting that on a rig.  I have room for 2 so I may buy up another one on ebay, that will give me close to 80 h/s more on zcash for about 100 bucks.  The watts won't be that bad either, certainly better than the 290s.

Pretty hard to beat that hash/sol to $$$

Did 4gb 480 get same speed as 8gb 480 on zec? and eth?

I'd love to know the answer to this question too!   or ANY comparison of the two 480's with 4 or 8 gb memory... to see just what difference it makes.

I have a Rig of 2 Sapphire RX480 4GB + 2x 8GB Version of them. All mining with claymore on stock BIOS.
4GB get around 35sol/s, 8GB around 40sol/s

Went from 160 to 255 on a 6 GPU RX480 4GB rig...
51 H/s on a R290 card  Wink Wink

What settings are you using on the R9 290?
