alright, so is this coin broken or not?  Carry on mining?  The difficulty is clearly not adjusting correctly and dev has gone absent.

The blocks per day and the difficulty retarget did not work as expected, but the total coin count should be the same. It'll just happen much sooner.

Keep mining it if you want.

ok, well i shall proceed to hash rape this coin for a few hours then.   Wait for it.........

Maybe I am just an idiot or the fact that I am still new to the crypto game(about a month) but I cannot get the wallet to sync up.  I had it open over night and it still says it is out of sync.  I wouldn't usually care but I have coins that should be in it and obviously they are not.  Any help?

Hi,

Did you convert the file to .conf? Right now it is just a text file.

No I did not Undecided how does one go about doing that? Like I said in my first post, rather n00bish

open txt file, go to save as, rename omcoin.conf, select "save as type" all files, save

Thanks! That worked (obviously).  Now I know for future reference.  Grin

All cryptos are FIAT digital currency. Do not use.

nope. No dice on that one. I don't get why it is not working.

Delete the peers.dat and debug.log files. Wink

I don't know if it's required, but I always make my own conf file in the roaming folder, and change the rpcconnect info to my own IP, and then add allowip=myip, as well as the addnodes. It is synching up ok for me.

I'm thinking if you have any friends not mining this coin, you should get them on this coin now, before they miss the boat.

I don't think the difficulty is adjusting correctly.  I am thinking this is more like a week of mining.

1180 blocks are down of the 9000ish total blocks that will ever be found.   This coin is going to be 90 days of mining.  I understand as the difficulty rises it will be harder and harder to mine.  But 13% of the coin has been mined in the last 11ish hrs.  It may be minable for 90 days but all the meaningful mining will be done within a few weeks at this rate right?  I am fairly new to coins like this but I would like to know if what I am thinking is correct or if I am wrong.

This will be the plan...

Total Coins: 258,490
1,000,000 originally, 741,510 destroyed (99% of the 749,000 from the IPCO)
Premine for future support: 7490 coins (2.8% of 258,490)

Keep some for the exchanges. They dont list your coin for you unless you pay them in BTC or your coins.
I think you should allocate about 5-10k for every exchange you intend to list the coin. If its only Mintpal, its well and good.
