Has anyone noticed that in just a few days we've put together the majority of orders for 8.6th worth of chips? Anyone have any thoughts about how adding that to the network alone will multiply the difficulty? Let alone if BFL finally ships? Will the 8.6gh rig I ordered even be able to pay itself off in a year?

Are these batches going to ship sequentially or simultaneously?

this. Are there 9 weeks of waiting between each batch delivery?

Is it too hard to read ?

The two not yet claimed orders of 10 chips are from folks waiting to get released from newbie-jail.
Kicked my buddy again to make sure to post here.
No worries, he has still 9+ weeks time to confirm.

This peace of mind commission is going buy zefir a whole lot of afghan kush...
Huhh kush?? Uhm... Zurich... thats fine... Zefir can I come pick up the chips with my buddy personally and we smoke some kush? I'll make sure to bring some Dutch Kush ;-)
A local pickup is for sure doable. But keep the drugs at home, I'm too old for those things. It'll be summer and we can have a cool beer instead Smiley

Hi
I ordered 40 yesterday, is it still possible to have them be shipped to burnin, if not could you refund please?
1PvYMQjpJeUvoDY5SjtHHCfJ5iHwbFhenX

He didn't read in burnin's thread either , you expect to much.
Yes I didn't read this thread very good, but I am still confused:

zefirs thread:
If you want to buy ready-to-mine boards as developed in the original DIY thread, please do not order chips from me, but instead contact the developer of your choice (burnin, allten, or whoever decides to work on a ASIC product). There is no need to reserve the chips by buying from me, since I will ensure that those developers will have enough chips they need for their products.

burnin's thread:
You order your chips from Zefir or other group buys.
I have an agreement with Zefir, who will ship all chips that
are to be mounted on my boards directly to me in one big delivery.
You don't need to send Zefir a message that he should ship your chips to me!
For other chip sources you'll have to figure out yourself how to get the chips to me.

Take a look again at zefir's OP, section "Who should buy and who should not", it has been edited 2013-04-17:
Quote
You can order chips either if you plan to develop your own mining board, or want to buy a ready-to-mine assembled from other developers / manufacturers. In the latter case, with your order you secure the chips from the current batch and decide where to send them for assembly when they arrive.

Additionally burnin is not yet taking orders. Neither per Mail nor per PM.
Be Patient and wait. They will make announcements when its time.

I’m interested, but I’m worried about the shipping from Switzerland. Tax and customs from CH always gave me hell.
Would it be possible to pick up the order in Switzerland?

I’m declaring interest for 100 chips

Where are you located? I'm in Italy and I'm thinking the same thing about shipping.

Austria, but since I will use the chips for burnin's PCBs, I think the swiss tax/customs won’t affect me anyway.

OP's house will soon contain more processing power than the CIA.

Naah, it is less than 5 BFL MiniRig SCs, not? Or 125 3-module Avalon units, not that impressive, given how many have already been sold.

Haha, true, but maybe it will feel that way once you receive delivery of the hash.
And you have to think about the size, not everything could fit in your house, the truth is the minirigs have already been dispatched, delivery is just talking a while  http://acrigs.com/Nautilus-Dry-Tow.jpg

But I noticed something odd today...

BFL hardware simply "not designed properly" whist CERN hardware has a breakthrough with the higgs-boson?
 Roll Eyes
I believe in coincidences, but I'd need to be on a lot of hash to believe that one.
