Yes. But all shares from round doesn't matter with score based payout system.
Only shares from small timeframe before end of round.
Okay, that was the wrong question to ask but I assume blocks couldn't be solved during the same period so the miners were essentially doing nothing. Not that it matters, some downtime will be unavoidable, it just wasn't clear from your post whether that was the case or not.
hopefully sorted by the time i get back 
. I've gotten a lot of stale shares lately, a huge increase in fact as i was getting around 0.3% before and now it has increased to like 3-4%. It's pretty bad, not sure what the reason is.
