A lot of people know about tradefortress (to varying degrees) even though they joined long after the situation with him. If you're fairly active here he'll get brought up every now and again and he's often mentioned in the biggest scammer lists etc.
Just got pointed to this thread and reading through posts, ran into this one. I highly, highly doubt TF scammed. People keep throwing it out there and making those claims, but if you want an honest idea of what happened, I believe he gambled it and lost. He was known for gambling high stakes (300+ btc at a time), claiming it was all from his personal funds.
The TF that's on the forums right now is absolutely not the same one as before.
Most people don't know this, but he absolutely loved CC. It was essentially his baby, and was far more important to him than even Inputs.io was. While he wanted both to be successful, CC always took priority. And it's entirely possible that he WAS hacked and lost everything (Inputs.io was being APId and other things, so he may have had a bug in it).
Anyways, a bit off-topic from this thread, but I get annoyed when people act like they knew him when they didn't.

1 point if you use avatar, 2 if you use avatar and signature or avatar and PM, 3 points if you use all three.
Also, I'm penalizing the post value of late joiners as they have posted for only half the campaign length or lesser.

You can use a signature too, but you must have the avatar.
So, the minimum rank is Full Member.

I'd like to help you double that pot. Send me an address and I'll shoot 0.02 BTC over. The coinchat community was awesome back when I joined in 2013, everyone there helped me out a lot (except for randomcloud, sorry but he/she abused his power as a moderator)
