the site needs DDOS prevention - a 2nd or 3rd server on a different internet provider.
BGP works wonders.

How can this be the easily biggest pool with 2+MH/s and only one single page on the forums? Where are all the users discussing mining and pool and payments and mining rigs and setups and whatnot? Hellooooo

not needed as this pool runs smooth as.... no issues to speak of.

I'm in.

The mining fee is increasing to 1% on June 9th.
Fee has been changed. 20% of the fee goes to Monero development.

We now pay out after only 15 confirmations (~15 minutes after a block is found)
This was reverted. We pay out after 60 confirmations.

All IPs attepmting to mine with the HTTP protocol have and will be automatically blocked from MoneroPool.org. They were flooding the server and causing the connection between the pool software and daemon to break. In a few days the IPs will be unblocked to see if they are using stratum yet. Be sure to use only cpuminer with stratum+tcp://. Please contact [email protected] (or PM me) if you wish to have any specific IPs unblocked.

This should fix the periodic outages we were having.  Smiley

All ports are now stratum ports. Please stop trying to use simpleminer.

I'm having a minor (heh!) problem where the website will not update my hashrate. I don't know if that has anything to do with payouts, but it's just concerning that it stays at a static 25 H/s whereas on extremepool.org it would update every time I submitted a share.

Also waiting for my payout amounts to change. I get payouts much less often (actually none so far) than on extremepool.org, though I hashed about half the amount I did on extremepool.org (where I got paid ~.1 MRO so far)

Same issue here.

MoneroPool.org has switched all of its ports to the Stratum/TCP protocol except 5555. Stratum ports: 8336, 8080, 80, 7777

Simpleminer is not compatible with the stratum protocol, so please switch to cpuminer if you can. If you wish to continue using simpleminer, please switch to port 5555.

MoneroPool.org now uses the stratum protocol on port 7777.  All ports except port 5555 will be switched to the stratum protocol in 24 hours.

To connect, use this
Code:
minerd -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://mine.moneropool.org:7777 -u address -p x

More instructions here

Simpleminer is not compatible with the stratum protocol, so please switch to cpuminer if you can.

10% mining bonus for the next 20 blocks!

Whats with the RPC disconnect on a duplicate share. It eventually reconnects, but sometimes it will cause the shares to not be accepted until another duplicate share which causes a disconnect reconnect. Hashing with Cpuminer with 8 threads at 125h/s
Have you updated to the latest cpuminer?

I installed it yesterday, is there another one since then?
Yes there is. The fix was in the pool software to stop accepting duplicate shares and in cpuminer to stop sending them. Since you haven't updated, you're sending duplicate shares.

Here's a pastebin of the bug when the pool accepted duplicate shares: http://pastebin.com/wWVzhe0W

Alright, thank you very much for the help. You have been the one to answer all my questions on the matter of monero. Appreciate it greatly surfer
