So this is from the personal loan you took on BTCJAM?

If not, what a coincidence!
S.DICE was one of possibilities I considered, but I decided to invest it elsewhere on MPEx. I can reveal what I exactly did after returning the loan, if anyone is interested. BTW, It was listed as "business", not "personal" loan.

I'd like to point out that some of the second tranche of shares were bought into earlier.
Code:
09:49 <@assbot> [MPEX] [S.DICE] 179 @ 0.0034 = 0.6086 BTC [+]
(time is utc)

It's a small amount, but, I believe, noteworthy.

Can you please elaborate?
Image can be worth a thousand words - see http://live.coinbr.com/?mpsic=S.DICE . That graph was dull for a long time, now it comes to life. The sell wall in the middle is the second tranche Erik is selling (and to the right it is the third one).

Dear investors... I think if you take a look at the below page, and watch the streaming bitcoin transactions in the lower left, you'll find a pleasant surprise Smiley

Wow, I mean, I knew it was true, but that really drives it home.

Also, fair warning - next week I'll be travelling to Macau, the gambling capital of Asia, to present at a gaming conference. I'll be showing SatoshiDICE to many people, including gambling entrepreneurs and business men.

It is possible that certain business deals could happen as a result of this trip. If you were considering buying shares of S.DICE, you may want to do it quickly. Who knows what a rich Macau gambling magnate might think of a system which allows wagering in any amount, from anywhere in the world, anonymously...  Wink

Yes, except that I can still double-spend my losing bets to cancel them.  In that case I don't care that it also double-spends my payout, since my payout is smaller than my bet.  I've never seen any statement from SDICE about how or even whether they have any way of preventing such an attack.

Interesting. I'm still learning about how the system works really.

The bitcoin network or satoshi dice?

The entire chain-of-payments thing. I guess you could say that = Bitcoin.

They always use the coins you sent them when you placed your bet as one of the inputs of your payout.  So if your bet doesn't ever confirm, neither will your winnings.

Which, if you think about it, is a pretty clever way to do it.

If the transactions are verified with 0 confirmations then how do they prevent bitcoin loss? Just curious
