I have a question, who decided on the 500,000 nodes threshold for forging? Shouldn't it be a tiered system where more % is earned based on the amount of connectivity the user is donating + amount of node within their tier? Tiers being similar to the tax brackets.

If 500k is the starting point, doesn't this just parallel our current shitty money system where the rich get richer and there is a gaping hole of a middle class? I would think a tiered system would be more fair, or useful to all. Correct me if I'm wrong or missing the big picture all together.

We have already announced that in the future this amount will be reduced in proportion to the growth of NodeNet.

We fundamentally don't do multi-level network, 'cause in this case NodeNet loses its flexibility - only the peer network has a future.

Even in real life to earn you need to make at least a minimal effort. Even to win the lottery, you need at least to buy a lottery ticket Grin The middle class - it's the biggest hard workers, they knows the value of effort Smiley

So 500,000 it is not a million bucks yet, today it is less than $ 100 - the sum is more than equal to middle class guys who prefer to earn, rather than to receive Smiley

Oh okay, that makes sense thanks for clearing it up.

Ok, I'm finally accumulating a decent balance from my bter withdrawals into my wallet.  To forge, all I need to do is login and log out?  Or do I have to stay logged in?

I see guys have already answered you Smiley

If you or anybody else have 500,000 and stable access to the Internet, I'd highly recommend to keep it on your own wallet.

Today Anrdew (Paramon) told me that he forged 100,000 in less than 3 weeks (7981595429821076186).

I've had my wallet open with 500,000 node running 24/7 with minimal downtime and have forged less than 8,000 node.  Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if he's just exploiting the system.

I do not think so. As far as I know, Andie launched his client on a dedicated server at a good channel. Most likely, his client keeps more stable connection with the others.

Yes I running node 7/24 on windows azure. My uptime 17 days + every day I have small transaction from bter (1.5k-2k).

Yes, I said to NodeClub that I find almost every 3 block per day and that my account has been increased by more than 100K NODE.

But not all the money extracted forging.

I did not think that it will be published on the forum. I would like to clarify.

Real statistics for forge in my account 7981595429821076186:

Found:                          89 blocks
Total fee forged:            25879.15682 NODE
Forged fee:
MIN                                   0.00001
MAX                             2501.86645
AVG                               290.77704

BTW I will give access to the api from my node where anyone will be able check forging block for any account number (login will be not required) soon.

Enjoy the moment Grin
Nevertheless, I'd recommend to keep 500,000 of earned funds on your online wallet 'cause it will benefit both you and others. You will help support the network and can thus earn without any risk of losing your investment.

Well that says it all right there now doesn't it. Smiley

Good to see official facebook Page  Cheesy any idea when Node will open source? i know we are in the early stage but still any estimate about that?

Investors are convinced a developers to delay this until the end of beta.
The opening of the code in the testing phase can bring more harm than good. We can not to jeopardize people's assets until full completion of testing.

Personally, I don't understand why the guys from the other projects do not see the obvious, and when they lose the system at an early stage then apologies and excuses comes. Obviously, guys threaten the future of the project in the quest for fast money Grin

Personally, we do not hurry anywhere, especially - to a better world Grin Safety first, the rest comes after.

I will be conducting a NODE giveaway sometime this week.

I am still working through the details, but it seems like 1,000 NODE per person will be acceptable.

This is to introduce new people to NODE and so they can get an idea of how the wallet/network is.

Unfortunately my PC's CPU decided to give me problems this last weekend and I am trying to fix it asap so I can continue with projects such as this giveaway.

Gr8. I expected that.
