Can Node try to implement Halo markets?
This could be a giant step for node while waiting for some bank opening, that even may not happen.

Can Halo be implemented to a coin not based on bitcoin, such as NEM, NODE, Qora?

Yes it can as long as those coins have multisignature. Even without it, i might be able to figure out how to integrate it. I would really need to know the differences in the scripting system to know for sure. Honestly I think Node is really interesting and Qora has AT doesnt it? I would probably want to make a python library for scripting Halo escrows for any coin that doesnt have it. What interests me about Node is how they do fast transactions at first glance it seemed like a relatively secure solution. I think maybe Node could be used for cryptocurrency games.

That is the usual MO when doing a sloppy copy+paste Bitcoin or Litecoin knockoff.

It does not really fit to creating a PoS codebase in a language nobody has done it with ever before (nodejs).

That is far too much work to fit the definition of a 'scam'.

Also- with the low traffic around here during the entire project- where exactly have you seen all those sock puppets?

Yes I have been to Ukraine lately, before the fighting happened, and even today the "fighting" is only in a few obscure eastern areas.   Even in Kharkiv, the second largest city in Ukraine and in the east, if you did not watch television or read BBC then you would have no idea there was a war going on.  Definitely doesn't stop Come from Above from making 200 posts a week.

Don't make jokes on here like NODE developers are building trenches, living in underground bunkers or protecting NODE code with a kalashnikov.   Cheesy

Besides the NODE developers are known on record for saying they're in Kiev, so the only fighting they're seeing are two fat men at Puzata Khata (Пyзaтa Xaтa) fighting over the last tray of perogies!!

Well- that is sort of what one of the devs also said, and since I have never been to Ukraine I can't claim to know it.

My main point was that it does not fit the usual scam method.

I recall there was some news couple of months ago that all Ukrainian 18+ age males are called to army, if not to actual warzone, at least for get some training. I thought that could  be the reason why couple of the dev-team members suddenly can't be online anymore.

It's only volatile if you live in the east.  Life goes on everywhere else in Ukraine.

Looks like NODE is dead - looks like developers were dumping on us with their socks and are gone without a trace.

I think you are confusing this with the NEM thread.

But regarding Ukraine:  Have you been there lately?

I wish I could tell you guys the outlook for NODE looks great, but I'm not a liar and not going to try to falsely hype something because it goes against who I am.

I know some of you might be frustrated because you want to get back to higher value levels, and let's be honest, a lot of people bought node when it was in the 200s and now they want out.

So far we have gotten specks of information of what is going on, koop4u was supposed to make an appearance this month yet you look at his account and he hasn't logged on since March 31. What is really going on with NODE?

I still hold some NODE, but I don't see this going too far if the dev keeps being so mysterious about things.

The community is here if NODE decides to keep going, it's up to the dev team now to make their move.

Ukraine IS a volatile country, and I explicitly asked Sillk about this in a PM, but he appeared remarkably unconcerend about this.

i am frustrated about koop4u too and community already decided what to do but i dont know what @therealsik is thinking. Give someone else the job and try not to let things go slow.

He'll be back soon to mention giving the gig to others and then disappear again. Rinse and repeat. Weird.

indeed!

I find it incomprehensible to work for a full year on a project and then to just let it slip away.
Can't understand that really, putting in all that time and work.

Ukraine IS a volatile country, and I explicitly asked Sillk about this in a PM, but he appeared remarkably unconcerend about this.

Can't imagine what else there could be...
