I'm trying to send some coin on the web wallet, I put in the amount and the recipent address and click send but it just doesn't do anything?

Tried on my own VPS and through nodemoney:18775

any ideas?

If it's the full amount in the wallet, it doesn't automatically account for the fee and deduct it so you have to calculate that yourself. It'll be going over the amount in the wallet. If that isn't the case, then I'm not sure.

kind of sad really- what happened to the original dev team?  Huh
@therealsilk is here like always, koop4u left long time ago and he was just representing NODE (not dev). @LemonAndFries is a great guy and i would really want him to stay here and help NODE.

I'm happy to much in where needed. The devs have mentioned bringing others on board before but haven't offered any options as to how to actually go about it. Stuff like correcting spelling on the site, twitter etc needs them to grant some access.
i think they are busy with other stuff but they shouldn't forget that these matters are also important.

is the "development fund" still alive?

maybe they can invest a little amount in order to get a marketing team?

Yes, I am ready to transfer funds promoting community while we are engaged in the technical part

It would be great if LemonAndFries assume that.

The question is whether it will accept. It has to be done immediately, while node still worth something.

I will be sending out the last payments later today, I am closing the rewards program.

If you gave me a donation, send me your node address in a PM so I can return it back to you.

I stated a hundred or more pages ago that the problem with the coin was a lack of community. I see that is still the case.

Blaming the devs because they're not doing 100% of the heavy lifting is pretty pathetic, especially when citing "how a coin should work" when no community of willing participants has formed underneath it.

It cost many people ZERO to be involved in this coin. It cost others some BTC to do so. If you haven't learnt by now, in the several years we've had in this new frontier of virtual currencies, how to hedge your losses or back long term, then you're as bad as all those before you who complain that someone else hasn't made them rich quickly.

Noone held a gun against your head to buy into this product and it's the same as ALL other similar products on the market in that it requires a community to actually form and provide crowd-sourced help in soft skills such as marketing and promotion. The devs are coding and creating fiscal companies and brokering business deals - the community should be able to handle some simple fucking promotion. But it can't, and it wont, because there isn't a real community.

TLDR; stop fucking whining and start doing. All I see in this thread are sycophants, speculators and whiners. The only motive anyone has in this thread seems to be (from an outside observer) singular, personal gain. I have approx. 2BTC (EXPENSIVE BTC also, not today's prices BTC) sunk into NODE and I'm happy to wait it out unlike the vast majority posting in this thread.

nice post! You sum it up nicely!
I have 2BTC in this project too, but they were 'cheap' BTC, like $200-ish - but it is sort of on that level...

I would very much like to get more involved, but I realistically simply can't because I just don't have the time.
Still I tried to help out with a few small things when opportunity presented itself, and will do so again.

But the main point is the general attitude you address there.

Nodecoin wasn't a copycoin and i respect the devs for coding it successfully from scratch. they didn't scam anybody, they did what they said.

but at some point of their project, they should find experts partners to be stronger and create a full team to grow. Until today, they don't.
it's a terrible waste!

There was a team, who know what happened to them.  One day they just disappeared. No explanation, just "they are on vacation.", OkK  Roll Eyes

Yep, something has to be done about marketing. That's shameful to see the value and the popularity of this coin.

I got the impression they were planning to let rip with marketing when all the elements were in place. Looking at the complexity proposed, that might be over a year away by which point it'll have faded away.

It hasn't operated like a normal coin should. We're still being fed crumbs by the core team rather than mucking in and I can't detect much of a community. There ain't much of a whiff of free will or decentralisation.

I think the devs do not want to add in more exchanges.
I do not see any effort in this direction.
The motto is  "Money is a means of payment, not speculation".
I regret the time to have put my money on it. Now is worthless.
Absolutely wrong, they tried to speak with bittrex and poloniex but no response from them. Personally i tried myself but they just ignore us. it will take months for NODE to stand up on its feet, just be patient like all of us.

i'm very sad for nodecoin. Bter destroyed all his value. buy support is gone...
i'm agree that it's gonna take months to see another uptrend. (if any...)

Well we wouldn't of had this problem if "somebody" would have put more effort into marketing and convincing exchanges to add NODE.

Instead we got "up to the community to make it", that's bull****. It takes everyone to do this, especially the person leading the project.

You all know who I'm talking about and a lot of us are annoyed because we had something good and now a lot of us are hurting because of this person's lack of leadership.

edit: don't even try to reply and debate with me on this, I'm disappointed and don't have the time or energy to do it
from day 1 lack of marketing is hurting this project, something should be done about this.

@TheRealSilk

Has the public key generating algorythm been changed within the last few days/weeks ?
I have a private key, which now gives me a different public key than it used to. lots of random chars like "½¹²[{¬³}]′°!?§$(*'~öÖüÜäÄ "  in it.
I only put 1000 nodes in it to test. Any suggestion why I am getting a different public address today using the webwallet ?

Btw: http://nodemoney.com:19775/#/login is down. 18775 is up. What do I have to use ?

edit:
Okay, when i run the local client, my private key still works. Now why is the webclient giving me a different public address ?
Is http://nodemoney.com:18775/#/login a testnet ? Should be made clear on that page. Are there any risks associated with entering my private key into the webwallet ?
18775 is main Port now, afaik NODE now just use port 18775.
