I will cut the check today, it will either ship out today or monday via UPS, I will reply back with the tracking number.

Matt
Minersource.net

No cheque received after 6 weeks of waiting...
Matt doesn't reply to polite emails...

Do I have to post all over these boards to try to get an answer to where or when I'm getting my refund?

Thanks Daryl

Likewise, I have asked politely for a refund on a number of occasions...absolutely f.all response from bobsag or DZ. Totally disappointed with the whole experience and won't get suckered again.

Cheers,

I was told March 14th and Apr 9 that I would be getting a refund on the R17 group buy. No check has been received and I can’t get an answer through email.

Is my money now gone? Sad

Yeah I am glad I kept 5 shares of this.  Summer is coming so I can't run 7 antminer s-1's at full speed. that is 2800 watts and 1400gh

I will cut them down to 5 and under volt ,underclock them. hoping to drop to 700-750 gh at 1000 watts

the 300gh from this buy will be helpful.

Was getting a few questions about the compensation so thought I'd answer them here for everyone.

The additional units will be going to the round, any hardware not included by BA will be deducted from first payout and purchased to get them running.

Colocation fees will be raised accordingly to match the power draw of the additional hardware.

The host of R17 is an RMA location so if anything breaks no need to ship it out of the country or to ship it anywhere.
A few updates to the Round.

  • To account for the additional power draw (for the additional hardware) Miner Hosting will be increasing the colocation fee by 30% the new fee per machine/50shares (original machines ordered) will be $227.5/payout (which will include the power costs for the extra half units). Cost per share is $4.55 per payout (two times per month)
  • If it is safe to OC the units there will be no additional cost for OCing (colocation fee will not be raised because of the additional power draw)
  • The cost for the PSU for the additional units will be $0.00 (Free)

A significant milestone in the journey of this group buy.
Congratulations and thank you.

I did a quick ball park figure these miners would have mined feb 27 - march 3

diff was about  3.8      diff will be about 7.7.

so a 50% jump    from 40gh to 60gh  makes this more like  a 3 week delay. Which is not the worst thing to ever happen.

It was mentioned before that BA took payment in BTC and as we paid in BTC a refund would be in BTC.

Update 4/26

Black Arrow increases the compensation for preorders
As our shipping is few days away, we wish to thank and give back to all customers that have believed in us.
Today we are increasing increasing the compensation as we are looking to start rewarding our loyal customers:
For Batch 1 customers, the 25% cloud hashing compensation previously announced will be replaced with 50% in the form of physical hardware. The extra hardware will not include power supply or shipping but they will be available to purchase from our store. We will also offer a technical solution for customers who wish to use their own power supplies.
Details:
Every X3 will contain 3 * 1Thash modules, 2 modules with power supplies, one without.
Every 2 * X1 will receive an extra X1, without power supply. Customers who have not purchased even numbers of X1, for the miner that has no pair, we will also offer a free X1 on their next X1 purchase.
Cloud hashing packages will receive 50% extra hashing power minus setup and maintenance costs which will be announced at a later date.
All customers who have placed pre-orders until 05/05/2014 will be offered 25% discount on all future orders of miners based on Minion (limit: up to 10 times the hashing power of their previous orders)
Pending sales and further reducing costs once we go into mass production we are looking to continue offering discounts to the customers that have supported us and made the Minion & Prospero a success story.
Note: The discounts for future orders are offered only to customers who have believed in us and continued to support us. They will not be offered to customers who requested refunds and to a small minority who abused or threatened any member of Black Arrow Team.

Bitcoin Miners progress update – 26 March 2014

1.We progressed to The Minion’s 3rd substrate which has been approved and sent to manufacturing
2.The package house has received the minion probe cart wafer.
3.Global Foundries has confirmed the wafer out date. The date is currently 5 days later than their prediction however they are seeking to catch up by optimising the rest of the process.
4.The final version of the X3 hashboard and X1 backplane has been sent to the PCB factory for prototyping
5.The final version of X1 hashboard will arrive this week on Friday.
6.The development team are still optimising the control board. The initial testing is positive: (booting sequence for Linux, network protocols and WiFi connections are ok). The team will focus now debugging the LCD. Testing for the touchscreen should start soon.
7.The modifications to the current setup is dictated by the testing and the quality controls reporting by our teams and suppliers. We concluded the last update to X3 backplane and the case design due to moving the X3 PSU on the left hand side for better heat dissipation.
8.We have received 2 types of PSUs for X3 from 2 vendors, we are testing them.
9.We have started mass production of the heatsinks and X1 power supplies
10.We have received the mounting screw with springs for the heatsinks. After a thorough review the spring technical specifications are not satisfactory. We continue to upgrade the design accordingly and we expect the samples to be ready in 10 days.
11.We approved the design for X3 case and we are in process of negotiating the time frame with our short-listed suppliers.
12.We should complete the final specifications for the fans by the end of this week.
13.We had a demanding schedule in visiting all our suppliers for quality checks and for tracking the agreed aggressive deadlines
14.We are in the final negotiations with our manufacturing partner for power chips. We are seeking a reliable supply of the power chips.
15.We finalised the search for the new facility which will help increasing the power for Rent-A-Minion service. We’re planning to start setting it up as early as next week.

None of the above fills me with any confidence that they are going to deliver at end of April. I currently calculate that if by some miracle they did deliver by that date, and I doubt they will, and even including the 25% hashing BA so graciously offered in the facility they have not built yet! I would more than likely NEVER recover my $ investment, let alone make a profit.

So with regret bobsag, since you have ignored all my PM's on refunds, and people here are saying you are not even providing $ for $ refunds or being transparent in any way, I have to put you on negative trust rating.

I am refunding EXACTLY the amount of BTC paid in, or if paid in $ refunded in $, as is stated on the R17 refund thread.

It is also stated to get a refund you need to email [email protected], as trying to handle refunds thru PM proved to be a mistake as I made several large errors (also documented earlier in this thread)

I fail to see how this is not transparent- you may have to dig thru a few pages of forum threads but its not like im hiding in the shadows. Over 1/3 of this GB has already been refunded- what makes you think any other requests would be handled otherwise?

To those with refunds still on hold for various issues, I should have them resolved by Saturday. I let some other stuff come up when these should have been taken care of post haste.

My problem is this.
I placed two orders for a total of 14 shares at $130 = $1820 paid for with BTC2.5 at the time for which I have a receipt in BTC and an invoice in $!
If you refund me in BTC today then that's worth only $1282.
So unless BA took payment from you in BTC and held those BTC to refund to you in BTC to refund us in BTC (which seems massivly unlikely) then someone is profiting $538 out of failing to deliver! Multiply that by the number of orders involved here and it starts to become a substantial sum!

So straight question, please give a straight answer, is it you or BA profiting from the BTC drop?
This is exactly what happened BA was paid in BTC, their refund terms are to be refunded the same method of payment.
Well first of all thats not really a complete answer because the method of payment does not necessarily mean the value. Neither does it tell us what BA have actually done with refunds.

BA priced in $ and adjusted the BTC required for those $ on a daily basis to allow for BTC volatility. So refunds should be on same basis, $ value at current BTC exchange rate. If thats not the case and they are offering back BTC at the exact amount of BTC received then that is an absolute outrage that should be challenged.
As usual, conveniently ignored post, still awaiting response bobsag3!

Hi, I just checked my shares in crypto-ops.com, and it shows two in processing and four in on-hold status? Are these both secure? I sent payment on both orders. Could you look into this for me please? Thanks.

I have one share in the GB. I know there's some delay, but can anyone please summarize what's going on and there will be any mining at all or I have to request for a refund? Skimming through 40 pages of posts is confusing.

your 40gb share will become 50gb if you wait until may 1-10 we should hash.

if you ask for a refund  you get the exact amount of btc the day you paid for it -1.5 %

so the 130 usd purchase you paid could have been paid with btc at 1000 a coin which means the coin you put in was about .130 btc so you would get a .1285 btc refund.

So if you paid with really hi value btc you may as well not get a refund. my example above would mean you lose about 65 usd. as .1285 btc is worth around 65 bucks.

In my case I had 12 shares purchased over 6 orders.

I cashed in 7 shares and kept 5

Thanks for clearing that up philipma Smiley . Yes, I'll just wait. There's no point in having the BTC back. I don't wanna sell them at the low price they're right now.
