they are back, price doesn't skyrocket. looking at mining diff, price should be going down, it's much more efficient to buy a cnc-miner paying in btc than buying cnc coin paying in btc. CNC looks like very overpriced coin but still I think it can rise, just because of the masses of chinesse

CNC will likely skyrocket when they get back online. DDOS is a sign someone (or a group) wants to buy cheap outside of market. Likely the same people are DDOS'ing all the CNC pools right now.
If I understood that correctly, you meant someone wants to amass large quantities of CNC... so they DDoS the exchange, so that other people will sell CNC through other venues like this forum? But how does this guarantee that the price of CNC will go down?

The hope is that when they stop the DDoS, and the exchange comes back online, people will be nervous and sell cheap because they want to get their coins out fast before something else happens. Look at all the nervousness that happened in this thread. Anyway, the DDoS people will then take advantage of this and buy up all those coins from nervous sellers on the cheap. They leave the exchange alone for awhile until confidence returns and the price creeps up, they sell off at a profit, then rinse and repeat the whole process.

This has happened a few times with Mt Gox, but the effect is starting to wear off as more people become comfortable with such tactics and hang on to their coins longer before doing anything to drastic. I am sure they still get enough people to fall for it to make it worthwhile though,

Please reply so I can put people's minds at ease. People are panicky on trollbox.

Are our coins safe??

They might want to control any mass sell-off of CNC so they disabled the site to prevent that.  Just like a stock exchange halts trading.  But, I would think they would just halt CNC.

Of course, they might be having a DDoS.

I dont think CNC is in free-fall. I'm leaning toward a possible DDoS as well

Before it went offline they were a lot of sell transactions.  I think DDoS though is more likely.

Every sell is a buy  Smiley

How long is it taking you guys to withdraw BTC from Bter.com? Mine has been sitting there saying processing on their site for a half hour and nothing yet. Getting pissed, i already contacted them but no reply.

Mine was basically instant

I took out 10BTC how much did you take out? Maybe its amount dependent, I'm wondering if for BTC over a certain amount if a person has to authorize. -.-
