NEO is a very promising cryptocurrency, it can cost 300-350 dollars by the end of the year. Right now it has a very good price.
Neo is the competitor of ethereum , in 2017 we saw many ICOs were launched on ethereum network with erc tokens , in this year we saw some ICOs on NEO platform . however Ethereum is still best in its category , NEO needs a lot of work to do to achieve more popularity and better smart contracts . buying 300 Neo coins is a good idea at $35 but make sure bitcoin should be largest holding coin in your portfolio .

Neo Coin is Most Undervalued coin right now according to its project it can reach 10× high from its current price so no doubt you can hold neo for long term. $NEO is the future IMO as well as $ETH. They are founding blocks (platform) where other projects will flourish on!

What the price you buy NEO?? I bought 100 NEO in April at the price only 45$. It is great price and i think in the end of 2018, it will be x3 value. NEO is the new platform and also called buy Ethereum version 2 with many advantage. Please patient and belive in NEO.
I think neo will be on the moon until the end of the year. At least $ 500 and I normally expect $ 1000. Quite reasonable figures. There are only 100 billion pieces.

I would say everything with value below $500 would be best for long term investment. NEO has been strong in its growth though it had ups and downs like other coins. Yes you can choose NEO for a long term and as well please select best coins with values below $100 which will fill your wallets with genuine profits.
it is completely illogical thing to say that every coin below $500 is best , even for long term it is not the reality . because price depend on supply and total marketcap , if a coin have huge supply like ripple then price should be checked properly before investing .
